Long story short we've never rented with uhual ...where we picked it up never went over milage .. Then when we dropped it off they lied and Said they would hold the charges for 3 days till we get it our milage dispute settled with costumer sevice. We had no idea about milage charges ...we payed for for milage then we did for the truck ...very dissapointed. . Made moving that more stressful... With me and husband expecting our first child with no money to spare we payed an $240 when our uhual was only $80 in the first place

First of all the guy I called on Saturday, told me that he was not going to stay open past 5 p.m. on a Saturday after Thanksgiving weekend. Secondly, he put my transport tires straps on wrong because he was in a hurry to get home on the weekend. It took him a longtime to get my car set up on the transport. While driving my car rocked. I called him in Utah and told him both my straps had come off and immediately he said someone had messed with my car, and assured me he had never had any come off. Then he lectured me about insurance and spending $70 for insurance, but he never offered it to me as he was more concerned with customers coming into his shop and buying a $20 hat and trinkets. While I was in need he was at an auction- while professing his innocence about the straps. I finally made it to a truck stops and they put it on the correct way. They told me that whoever put them on in the first place did a terrible job and my car could have slipped off- and also, they way the chains were put on it could have torn my tie rod off. Also, the guy never called back to see if I was OK, or anything. I feel like he didn't want to be liable for anything. Very bad experience. If that wasn't enough- he told me I had unlimited mileage, and yet, my credit card was charged for $42 for being 97 miles over. I will never use UHAUL again. I will either use Ryder or find another way. I feel like I was taken. Poor customer service. Monitor your agents that run side businesses. Make sure they are trained in customer service and how to put on a transport correctly. And when a paying customer calls with a problem- try to care and not worry about liability. Also, they can reimburse me my $42. That would be a start. I have used UHAUL many times before. This time the service on both ends was horrible. I have a job which causes me to relocate every 6 months to -year, and I will tell everyone I know about this experience.
