I dropped off my truck at the Crown Point location with an employee, same day as my rental, and received a text message 2 days later stating I had not returned the truck. I called corporate and was on hold for literally 50 minutes. I spoke with a female who stated she was the regional manager. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. The lady stated that I dropped it off at the wrong location. I dropped it off at the location that was on my written contract, which I signed and is a legal binding document. I then drove up to the location I dropped it off at since regional manager stated they did not receive confirmation that truck was even returned. When I went to location they tried to say I needed to take it to merrilville and drop it off or I would be charged. I refused as it was not my responsibility, as I returned it to the correct location per my contract. Whole experience at pickup and drop off was a nightmare and I will never use U-Haul ever again. Moving is stressful enough and this created way more stress than need be.

Sandra SNot necessarily the location. I was booking for Friday and the website said it was available at a much closer location. I then was called and told it was not. So I was forced to drive 20 miles overall out of the way to pick up this truck, which costed much more fuel and $2.19 a mile. Where the location(s) .25 miles from either my old or new place. Apparently both locations could not rent the truck.
