The running/tail lights were disconnected and the uhaul dealer was uneducated and told me that the Dolly’s didnt have tail lights only emergency and blinker lights. He let us leave with a uhaul dolly that did not have running lights risking our drive to be dangerous for other drivers.

Johnson’s was the 3rd place I went to. The first wouldn’t accept the truck like the place I picked up from said. It was an address on Crossover. I watched the guy select that I would pick the drop off location when I arrived. And that this was a normal thing to do. The second place was an address on College drive. Nobody there. Nobody answered the phone. Really gross looking sketchy lot that was behind the listed address. Thank goodness for Johnson’s hardware. They were the bright spot of the process. I’ll go out of my way to use them as a hardware store. The extra cost that I wasn’t aware of and the difficulty in finding a place to drop off truck will keep me from using uhaul again.

The only issue that I had was that the trailer had to be swept out before I could start loading. Not a big deal, but not as clean as when I left it. The trailer was in good condition and pickup was easy.

When I walked in, the workers there had 2 dogs roaming around the shop. The dogs kept licking my legs and eventually I had to tell them no. They also gave me fleas because after I left I had several bites on my ankles. The man who attended me was nice and professional but his appearance was very poor. His nails were really long and he honestly looked like a homeless man. I will never pick up another U-Haul at that location ever again.

I was not advised there would be a $25 cleaning fee on the vehicle. It was literally returned in the same condition in which I picked it up. Having to pay $.99 per mile plus the daily fee was steep enough and then I'm hit with a $25 cleaning fee that I was never verbally advised of is ridiculous. I would have recommended this place to others had it not been for this surprise fee on my bill.

Know ahead if what additional pieces, that may have to be BOUGHT prior to a rental for a tow dolly. We had to purchase a part to make the hitch fit, NOT expecting, yet another charge, and go to auto zone for an additional piece they did not carry, or have avalible for rent with rental. Bad business. We probably won't use again!! If known this and if we had more time to look, we would have used a different UHAul all together. Even when we dropped off, that location actually rents theirs out, not asks for customers to purchase, just for a sale! Drop off location was great, service and staff, clean location.

Two rentals from this location in the past month and cleaning charges must be a part of their income stream. I rented a very small motorcycle trailer again on Friday, cleaned but did leave some small amounts of mud in the trailer because of timing. It not a $15 cleaning charge this time but a $40 cleaning charge. Upon returning to question the charge, no one at the location will take responsibility for making the charge nor respond to my request as to who did. A $40 fee on a $15 dollar rental.

The store personnel were NOT friendly AT ALL. They charged us an extra 56.79 in "rental tax" when I had already paid 64.02 in taxes and been told the truck was paid in full. I had to pay the additional charge or they wouldn't let us have the truck. He handed us the key and said "the truck is outside". We wandered around for several minutes and had to come back in and ask where was the truck again. Then he told us "oh, it's probably down the alley and around the back". I would NOT use this location again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. The truck was kind of old and didn't have cruise control. I would not have rented from U-Haul if I had known there would be additional taxes, and no cruise control.

Lock pin for ramp on right side of tow dolly would not hold ramp in and it slid out going down the road. Strap on left side of tow dolly is ripped and needs to be replaced.

Our trailer had a small leak in the ceiling. It was raining pretty hard and some water got on some furniture. It didn’t damage anything so really no big deal, just a minor inconvenience.

Horrible! filthy truck with zero gas. Didn't receive equipment i asked for, just a horrible experience, and was overcharged! Use Penske or budget, save some frustration!!
