Our experience with U-Haul was chatotic . We reserved weeks prior and the day off went to the prescribed location in Slidell , La to only be told we were in queue. So the U-Haul rep in the phone told us they had one at this location in Hammond . The truck was dirty , the office was moderately clean . They were busy , the staff was helpful , but we were charged nearly $100 more than quoted for the pickup in Slidell and not really compensated in miles .
