The U-Haul person responsible for helping us with our truck was rude: he called me ten minutes before the pickup time at eleven to passively aggressively tell me that the location closes soon and to give him my card and id information over the phone (despite the location stating that it was open until noon and us being offered later pickup times than eleven). The inside of the truck was filthy. The truck’s windows didn’t seal either so it was very difficult to communicate with my passengers. Generally unpleasant experience.

Suggest a overview of expectations at pick-up, such as what's expected before leaving the rental location with any rented equipment. I did not realize I received a text regarding receiving & disposition at pick-up. As a result, that part of the process did not happen. I did do a quick once over on my own before leaving. I also kept pictures of received condition as a precautionary step. After returning the rented equipment, I was unable to update that first step.

Stacey MThey were not able to provide the U-Haul that I requested, but I wasn't charged for the upgrade. I think that U-Haul may need more of the smallest sized models (4 by 8 foot) for returning college students since they probably have very little to haul and not a lot of horsepower to do it with. My understanding is that customers are slow to return the trailers (probably more true of college kids than of the general renter) so, again, more of the smallest model should be purchased. My experience was good and I don't fault the dealer for not having the size I wanted given the time of year and fleet size.
