Important Context: This review is in reference to the Uhaul automover trailer. I am not sure whether my experience was the fault of Uhaul the company or this specific Uhaul location (or both). The day prior to my move, I was informed by the Uhaul location I had originally selected that they no longer had an available automover. There were other locations that did have an automover available, but they were all far away from that location. Fortunately, one of those locations – Kuhels canvas - was not too far of a detour from our intended driving route. The location did everything they needed to competently. But there were two issues that are the reason why I rate my experience at this location below average (or 2 star). My traveling companion wanted to rate poor (1 star) and I wanted to rate average (3 star) so this is the average of our two opinions. As previously stated, the issues we faced may have been due, at least in part, to Uhaul the company (see important context). TL;DR: The Kuehls employee initially refused to help us load the car onto the automover (citing "liability reasons") and said it would incur an additional fee (I'm not sure if this is true or if he was scamming us - no such fee was disclosed during the online reservation process). We protested. He argued with us, falsely claiming we declined help when we made the reservation (there was no such option) and should have watched the how-to video (Uhaul did not send us one). Eventually after much back and forth (and us saying we were going to cancel the automover and just drive the car separately) he did help us for free (we offered him payment but he declined). First, a minor issue: the tail lights/blinkers on the automover were not working. The Kuehls employee promptly fixed this issue but it did extend the amount of time we had to spend there, which, in turn, limited how far we could drive that day, prolonging the move. Ideally, any equipment malfunctions should have been fixed before we arrived. But, it is possible they did not receive adequate notice to ready the equipment (refer to "important context" above). Second, the Kuhels employee (an older man, I don't recall his name and don't see it on the receipt) we interacted with made an offhand comment about how he almost gave away our equipment to someone else because apparently there are few automovers available and they are in high demand. I took this as a bad joke, but, for the record, I did call Kuehls Canvas earlier in the morning after we picked up the Uhaul truck at the original location to inform them that we would be picking the automover up later in the day (afternoon) - we had to still load the truck and then drive to their location, which was in a different state (see important context). Next when it came time to load my car onto the automover, the Kuehls employee said that he could not help us at all with loading the car onto the automover due to "liability reasons." When we pushed back saying Uhaul made no mention of this when I booked the reservation, he responded by (falsely) claiming that I declined help when I made the equipment reservation (I was not given any such option) and that I would have to pay extra for him to help us (I'm not sure if this is true or not but no additional fee was disclosed on the Uhaul website during the reservation process). While my travel companion thought he was trying to scam us, it is possible this discrepancy may be due to this location charging a fee but not the location I had originally selected for the reservation (see important context). He also complained that we should have watched the youtube video uhaul had sent us on how to load the car (again, I was not sent this). He argued with us on this point and continued to grumble about it under his breath for the remainder of our encounter. Eventually we relented and attempted to load the car by ourselves. Because we did not have great cell service to watch an instructional video, we tried to follow the suboptimal written instructions printed on the automover. Ultimately, my travel companion said that we should cancel the automover and just drive the car separately rather than risk improperly securing the car to the automover. After he said this, the Kuehls employee finally agreed to help us for free. While we still did all the steps ourselves, he directed us and answered our questions. (The actual process is not difficult once you are shown what to do and only takes a few minutes, but we were hesitant to do this on our own without assistance for obvious reasons.) As I was concerned he was telling the truth and had just exposed himself to liability, I offered to pay him for his help but he refused and walked away (that was the end of our interaction with him). We then left the location and had no issues with the automover during the remainder of the move.

Was very helpful and easy to get all set up for my trip.
Nicole HThe truck was fine. The app at mobile pickup could be better. It wasn’t uploading my pics and this made for a long time spent trying to pickup. The location itself needs a lot of TLC. We had to walk through prickly thigh high weeds to get to the truck. We had to move the truck to be able to take the pics because of the weeds and how close it was to another truck. It would be nice if the lot was paved with marked parking spots. Beyond that, we’d probably use them again mostly because of where they’re located
Heather CThe truck had issues with pulling to the right very badly and at low speeds had a bad vibration. The engine was missfiring but ran.
ROY EThe Uhaul dealer was late arriving for the pick up time. The facilities were cramped and it was obvious Uhaul equipment rentals were not the priority. It was made obvious halfway through the trip the trailer rented was not maintained with TWO incidents within the span of less than a hundred miles apart.
