ELENA SI encountered the most unprofessional communication with this location around 8:45am on 2/1/2025 with the staff. The moment I walked in, there were about 4 people, the manager(dressed in all grey) , a woman in a black shirt, another man (black shirt), and a another woman in a blue shirt. They appeared to be having conversations about non-work related subjects as the lady in black was trying to process my rental. Their conversations grew louder and I had to ask the associate to repeat herself multiple times because I had a hard time hearing over them. She asked if I needed a utility dolly and blankets which I had signed up for on the website the night before so I assumed that these would already be on the order. They continued their loud conversations, the associate handed me the keys and said “you’re good to go”. I had to ask for more details and clarification regarding the policies, insurance, gas mileage requirements, and equipment. I got to the rental and noticed the equipment was not loaded. I went back inside to let them know that needed the equipment. I asked to speak with the manager (dressed in all grey) who also was distracted among the group. The original associate was telling her that the equipment needed to be loaded. The manager said to pull up the truck to the door so that she could load the equipment. I told her that I’m not finished inspecting the truck and adjusting everything I need before I move it. She got impatient with me and said, “do you want the equipment or not?” then walked out of the room. I addressed my concerns to the “associates” in the room and let them know that they were distracted amongst each other during my transaction and they are being very unprofessional. The man in the black shirt and the girl in the blue shirt both said, “we don’t even work here so why are even getting upset with us?”. I told them that I’ll wait here until the manager loads my equipment. They replied “she’s trying to load it but you won’t pull up the truck”. Together they laughed out loud at me as I left the room. I saw another employee outside (I think her name was Cindy?) and told them about the unprofessional interaction, she helped me get the utility dolly and handed it to me. The manager was walking halfway to the truck and kept telling me to pull up the truck or else she wont load the moving-blankets, so I said I will just go up to her so she could hand them to me so I can just load them. I asked the manager for her name and she refused to give it to me. After I was done inspecting the truck and left I called them back to ask for the managers name. She yelled at me and said she did not want to deal with it right now and continued to refuse to provide her name then hung up on me. I called multiple times back and Freddy, who stated that he was the supervisor of that location said he overheard that last conversation so I explained to him the entire story. I told him that I wasn’t comfortable moving the vehicle until I adjusted what I needed to (mirrors, seat, inspect current dents/damages) and they kept telling me to pull the truck to front or they would refuse to provide me the equipment. This type of unprofessionalism and impoliteness is completely unacceptable. Especially how the manager spoke to me was very disrespectful for a person with a high authority in the company, she should not be hanging up the phone on customers. The man (dressed in black) and woman (wearing a blue shirt) should not have been in that office behind the desk if they claimed that they do not work there as they have access to customers private/personal information. I was ridiculed by your entire staff for concerns that needed to be addressed and corrected. I am glad that Freddy (supervisor) was there to hear the tone of the manager. I suggest the managers/supervisors review the CCTV footage of this interaction and also the phone call to assess how the staff treated me during this transaction. I do not recommend anyone to use this locations services.
