While the equipment was clean and well maintained. The truck was dated and used an overuse of gas. Upon receipt of the truck it was basically empty, could barely get to a gas station before running out, yet I was still charged for gas. Upon booking it showed $1.10 per mile, but Upon checkout it was $1.19. Per mile.

jorge gHorrible customer service. The representative was more interested in his personal phone call than in assisting. After waiting for him to engage me he didn’t ask how he could help he just said “yes”. I told him I was returning the trailer and he said “go unhook it and roll it with to the back”. Not helpful. When I mentioned I was told since I was returning the unit early he would be offering a credit on the rental all he said was “no credit “, . $145 for a 5 hour rental. I’ve utilized U-Haul several times this year and this was by far the worse experience.
mark mDropping a unit after hours at night is definitely not recommended. Area is poorly lighted and the drop box was behind some parked trucks in a dark area that required an extended search to locate. One other negative comment that I have has nothing to do with Hans Velero, it was with the U-Haul app. I saw several U-Haul locations near my destination that I was unable to change my drop off site to? Since I was charged an additional mileage to drive 25 miles to the drop off site while passing by several U-Haul locations? One was literally next door to my destination? Customer support was very helpful once they got online, but I was on hold for approximately 15 minutes.
