If you offer a guarantee and you confirm a location and time to pick up and you get there and they do not have what you need and you have to spend half of the day driving across town to get what you need

the salesperson was so rude, had the worst attitude and poor professionalism.

I was charged for gas after I bought back the truck on full after toppling up what I used

The guy that helped me was very rude. I used A truck that was dirty from the previous renter and when i brought It back the guy was raising his voice and myself and my mother over one small line of dirt saying i need To sweep it out. When i asked “Do you have a broom?” He yelled saying “ not my problem you figure it out.” I will Never rent here and advise everyone to not rent from here EVER horrible customer service

Vehicle was difficult to control in a single lane while driving. It seems like you have to constantly turning the steering to keep it in the driving lane. Upon on returning truck to the pick up location I had purchased some petrol and it was not quiet at half tank mark. I then brought it to the attention of U-haul operator. The operator stated that it need more gas, so I start running the pump, while he was in the truck watching the gas gauge. I asked him if the gas gauge is at half tank as yet he respond by saying pump some more. I then got curious about why it's taken so long to reach half tank mark, so I stop pumping gas in the truck tank and went to take a look the gas gauge. The gas gauge already past the half tank marked and going to the next level. After I parked the truck and when to the store to talk to the operator of U-haul about the extra gas that placed in the truck, he only give a devious smile follow by no response. I will never go back to that location to do business or encourage any of my friends.

The Uhaul location is the BP ? station at 2446 York Road, Lutherville, MD 21093. The Owner/Attendant is not of American descent. His professionalism and customer service skills are in dire need of improvement. He felt NO need to compensate and was quite arguementative when notified of the rented Uhaul truck (10' Truck Equipment No: TM3049E) stranding my significant other and me in the rain. The weather forecast for the day was 100% precipitation. In the rain?, soaked as ever, we were able to receive battery hot shot assistance to return the truck beyond the scheduled return time. We had the truck for less than 8hrs on Sat, 12/15/18. This inconvenience was clearly explained/communicated. However, the claimed owner had NO interest in entertaining. As the customer, I dialed 911 for officers assistance when the alleged owner stated we broke the truck ?? and the Uhaul company does not accept insurance claims, therefore it's an out-of-pocket expense. REALLY??, to cover one's self, when 3 officers arrived to the scene, I requested an officer to visually notice the Uhaul's exterior/interior conditions, the accurate mileage return count, and gas returned on full. When the officer verbally asked the alleged owner/attendant the condition of the returned Uhaul, mysteriously the response was Fine. The officer was clear that this is a court Civil matter in regards to the claimed owner/attendant possibly overcharging my debit card after departing or further pursuing compensation. The estimated rental charge at retreival was $92.29, in which the claimed owner/attendant intended to charge. However, after advising the police officer that I am requiring the exact mileage usage documented, then and only did the alleged owner/attendant generate, for my signature, the closed contract receipt with a final debit charge payment of $68.61. Our departure conversation ended with the officer informing us that there has been several prior problem issues specifically at this Uhaul location. The Uhaul's Corporate customer service center in Phoenix, Arizona has been contacted, as I wait 3-5 business days for a response regarding compensation!

The station guy was rude, the pick up truck that I rented the back lift door did not let down. The intention was to be able to slide furniture onto the truck effortlessly, but instead it had to be lifted over the gate door.

truck was not clean radio not working truck back firing

The place I dropped the trailer wanted me to take it somewhere else but I refused . I was already turned away from one location and told I had to take it into Boston . The streets in Boston are lined with parked cars and horrible drivers and I was lucky to get it to the drop point where I left it without getting hung up or in an accident. That’s why I told the guy I was unhooking it at the uhaul in Somerville Mass .

The equipment was okay and worked well, but the associate that was responsible for the rental was rude. He had an attitude during the rental and return. Additionally he was rude to other customers as well while I was there. A customer walked in the station and the associate just stared at the customer for a few seconds as if the customer was inconveniencing the associate. It was so awkward the customer even apologized and asked if he came at a bad time. I won't like use this sevice location again and again.

Guys at the BP U-Haul location are fantastic. The owner is a great person and he even gave me the extra three dollars I need it to get the gas to exactly where it needed to be because I was short from purchasing beverages for my helpers.

This is a tiny gas station with trucks packed so close together that you have to be a very good driver to not hit something trying to get out of there. This is just a poor location to have Uhaul trucks.

Zachary C. on

I am not accustomed to being treated in the way the clerk at this gas station treated me (and until today, I have only had outstanding experiences with UHaul). When the clerk was inspecting the truck, he saw one or two leafs in the truck (that were there when I got the truck); he threateningly ordered me to pick them up and throw them out or he’d charge me. Then, when checking the gas (the truck was parked on an incline), the clerk accused me of trying to cheat him because the needle was just below the specified level. The issue is not that I needed to add under a gallon of fuel (after moving cities - I had just come from a gas station), it was his threatening and accusatory tone. Frankly, I feel entitled to an apology. In sum, this gentleman could not have been any more rude or less customer friendly. I will never return to this location, nor would I recommend it to anyone.

When I went to pick up my 5’-8’ trailer, the trailer I was supposed to use lights did not work. When I was switched to the new trailer, it was locked from a previous renter. The guys at uhaul had to drill into the trailer to remove and replace the locking system. The trailer obtained some damage from the locking mechanism switch.
