The lady that took the key upon returning the truck did not even worked for U-Haul so she just took the key and never even told me that they were close for returns!! As a result they reported that I brought the truck back the next morning at 9:00am. Thank God I had the bright idea to take pictures of the truck, the location and the mileage with the time stamp showing when I actually returned the truck.
