Original pick up location did not have my truck due to previous renter not returning. They called me over 2 hours before my pickup time to inform me of new location for my pickup. While much more inconvenient, the advance heads up helped compensate for this. Thanks for that

When I arrived to pick up my rental truck, I was told my rental had broken down. In order to get another truck, they wanted me to drive to McFarland Ave (off exit 14). They had called me and left a voice mail for confirmation of my order, but didn't say there was a problem with pickup or that my rental had broken down. I returned the call and left a message confirming my order. Since I had already driven 200 miles and the route I took was nowhere near McFarland, that location would have been a great distance out of my way. I had no desire to drive any further to pick up my truck and informed the staff. Since I was emptying out my units at this location, I needed the truck there at that location. Since there was only one person working the McFarland location, they couldn't bring the truck to me. The staff finally offered to drive one of us to the other location to pick up the truck. Having to get a truck elsewhere at the last minute caused an hour delay in my schedule. I finally received a call from someone about the change after the staff had left to get the other truck. When there is a problem with a rental, I would suggest that the staff make that clear in their message when they call and that they call in a timely manner. Once we got the truck and got it loaded and made the trip, everything went smoothly. The truck handled well and got us to our destination without any problems.

Because I had some issue with my credit card, I paid the rest the balance in cash which was $112. I gave him $120. Since he doesn't have a cash, he said he will add the $7 in my u-haul account. A week later, I went to another location to rent a u-haul and a trailer, I was told I have a balance due, which was $112! Because I really needed the U-haul for that night, I paid again. My fault was that I didn't get a receipt so I don't have approve. I called the location asking him if he remembered me and he said yes and said he is gonna solve this problem for the double payment I did but nothing happened. I left a voice message saying if there is any update about my issue but he never responded back. I admited that it is my fault that I forgot to get the receipt but this is my experience. I will never come back to rent from any u-haul location. I prefer paying more than coming back.

I am extremely frustrated in that I was told by corporate uhaul I can leave empty boxes in the truck and that entire conversation was put in the notes of my file. I see I was charged $100 for this. This is unacceptable.
