They have no idea what's going on or how to rent a truck...

After 1 hour of use the owner the the business calls and wants me to return it so he can rent it out. He told me I only get not even 3 hours due to another person being there. After a total of 5 phone calls within a 2 hour span I decided to not answer anymore. I have a signed contract that I have to return by 7pm. Also I went in to the business to try to reserve their 26 foot trailer and the owners wife told me she can’t help and I need to only talk to her husband. Never again am I going to that gas station and now I will never rent from uhaul due to this very sour experience

The process overall was very unorganized. When we went to pick up the truck, the gentleman said he was planning on using it. Then I was told to call and schedule a pick up time after I already had and the man that answered said he was "out" and could not look at my reservation. Overall a very poor experience.

Key return was hard to find, thought it would be right next to building. i was sure there was enough gas when pulled up, but maybe i parked on an incline and it read different later. overall was decent experience.

Only problem was that we were limited on available trucks and had to rent one to big. It was a last minute rental that created the need. The dealers were not the problem and were very accomodating.

This was not the location I had selected when I made my reservation online. We were relying on u-haul to make sure everything was hooked up correctly before we drove from WI to CO. Although very courteous, the person on duty was not familiar with the process and I had trouble hooking up the hitch to the ball and he had to call his cousin to come help. Once hooked up, the tongue was angled severely downward but was allowed to drive off the lot with it. We did not have much to load in the 6x12 trailer but even with that light load it caused the support bar to drag when towing. We had to stop at Wal-mart to get a different hitch without a drop to make it ride correctly. In hindsight, seems like I should not have been allowed to leave the lot with the hitch and drop height I had on the vehicle. Next time I would go to a location that exclusively does trailer rentals and not a gas station that does it as a side business.

Have the people at the location know the process. The person that set up the rental did not even know how to hook a trailer up to the trailer hitch.

Young man at the drop off was more than a little confused by the one-way drop off...

Clerk was unfamiliar with U-Haul process, had to come back the next day. Clerk the next day had trouble processing receipt, complained of poor internet connection. Took a long time to get checked out. He was alone and had to take care of store customers at same time.

Some training of the staff, especially on the weekends, would help speed up the process of drop off.

They charged me for full tank of gas and only gave me the truck half full and now that I called uhual to take care of the issue for me they said I cant get a credit. This guy at the gas station didn't even know what he was doing and needed to call in my uhual rental then when I told him the truck was only half full he told me he would take care of it and now he's acting like he doesn't know what I'm talking about. Very unprofessional! I should have known never to get a uhual from there.
