Dissatisfied as this was not the original drop off location we had our reservation for. Our original drop off location was “full” and would not accept our drop off trailer. They accepted trailers by people who did not reserve that location which made us have to drive out of the way to this location. If you reserve a location it needs to be that location

We dropped after hours. Drop off is conveniently located But the actual U-Haul key drop off building is surrounded with old RV and kind of dumpy. Wayfindimg to the little outbuilding is not the best.

They cheated me on the refueling fee. I stopped and put in gas less than 1/4 mile from the drop-off location. So, I know that the tank was above the level I started with. Yet they still charged me $55 for refueling. Uhaul is not an ethical company.

Arrived at 1pm, small shack that is the office had “open” sign on door but was locked, rusting junk beside the shack, no one was around. other trucks on the lot were open with dollys and moving blankets there for the taking. luckily a very helpful GM from another location happened by (also looking for the attendant?) and was able to check us out remotely. We understand that sometimes business can see a lone attendant called away but we got the sense this was not unusual for this location. A “back in XX” sign would be a nice touch.

The local lady at the A Cab facility was outstanding and helpful. What I want you to know concerns the UHAUL process prior to the actual process. The first e-mail I received told me my pick up was at NRV Mulch. I went by this location the night before to make sure I knew where to go. The next morning when I was signing up on the web, I received an e-mail to go to another center. I completed the form, I received another e-mail to go to NRV Mulch for the pick up. When I went to the NRV it was closed and no one was there. I called the number listed on the door and the person answering the phone said he did not know what to do. I told him how I was jerked around and losing value time that I needed to spend moving. I then went to the A Cab location where the lady there saved the day for us. I suggest that you look at this process to ensure the customer knows where to go to pick up their truck. I further suggest that you investigate what is going on at NRV Mulch. The appearance needs some real attention. I was shocked that this was a UHAUL station. It was not at all what I expected. I have used UHAUL for years at other locations and they very neat and clean. I can't say enough good things about this location. My most recent rental was the second time the owner/manager fulfilled my reservation after the original locations where I made my reservations failed to respond. My recent experience with U-Haul was just as bad as the first. This time, I made a reservation about 3 weeks before I needed a 9' cargo van with Dominion Land & Auction Co. But when I got there, the owner/manager claimed I didn't have a reservation with his location as he was rushing to leave so he could get to North Carolina. He claimed he processed all of the reservations he had in his queue and he had no vehicles that day to rent out. He even claimed if I did have a reservation with him, he would have stayed to process me, saying it would only take a couple of minutes. As he was rushing to get into his car to leave, he referred to me to Text a Cab, which is just down the street, fortunately. When I arrived at Text A Cab, the owner/manager pulled up my reservation and confirmed it was with Dominion Land. He told me he needed me to call U-Haul's 1800 number to transfer the reservation to his location so he could rent a van to me. Thus, there is no doubt the owner/manager of Dominion Land lied to me about my reservation. Amazingly, Text A Cab was able to secure a 9' cargo van about an hour later which was being dropped off at his location. I don't know what we would have done if we didn't get a van that day because we drove 4 hours from Northern Virginia to move my son's belongings out of storage into his new apartment in Blacksburg for the upcoming school year at Tech. I have nothing but superlatives to say about Text A Cab, excellent, excellent customer service. I will do all my future U-Haul business only with Text A Cab. I will never, ever do any business again with Dominion Land.

I was told a contract would be emailed to me, but I never received it. I tried to call them 3-4 times and left two messages to please email me the contract, but never received any call back nor received the contract. In addition, he told me that I could drop the truck at any UHaul location in Spartanburg, so I dropped it at DJE Auto. Because I had no contract, I simply gave them the keys and left. The next day I received a call from UHaul on Boiling Springs road asking why I had not returned the truck and that this was the location that I was supposed to return it to, so now they were showing I was late. I explained where I had dropped it. I then had to go back by the DJE where I dropped it to get the mess straightened out.

I had a coupon that was given to me from Uhaul. The lady working at the counter did not want to look for the place in the form to activate the coupon after I reminded her 7 times. She pretty much just told me that she was not going to do it. I'm disappointed because I had a $15 coupon that I cannot use now. I don't move multiple times a year and it expires so it would be GREAT if I could have a refund.



Do not go there. They put me on 24/7 schedule and me was supposed to pick the van at 7:00 AM. I was there and did everything necessary on the apps but I could not proceed after some point. I was calling them from 6:50 AM to 8:30 AM but nobody picked my phone and did not answer the voice messages. At 8:35 AM the guy woke up and asked him about the issue with the apps. I was so surprised to hear his words! He said the vans all came yesterday night but he did not entry them online that is why I could not proceed with the apps. He did not say any sorry for that. If you do not entry them, why did you tell me to pick this van at 7:30 AM? I was so frustrated as I had to move before 12:00 PM. He gave onlie entry but did not help me at all to proceed quickly. I asked him for his help he said, he had another 15 truck to entry online, he could not help me. Finally, I got the van at around 9:15 PM. While returning the van, no one was there, and there were also issue with the apps, and took around 1 and 1/2 hours to complete the process. The place is so dirty with the bad smell of the toilet to stand. Please do not go there if you have something to do urgent.

Originally went to a local site (Poole Brothers) a week in advance and was told to make reservation on When I did, I received the message that I was "all set" at that site. The day before pick-up, I received a text message that I was to pick up my uhaul at a different site nearly 50 miles away! I would have to travel 100 miles round trip to do a local move of a total of about 15 miles! Something is wrong with your system to do this! Thankfully, I found Tex A Cab who was very helpful.

The drop off site only had one person working. She was very nice, but overwhelmed with the number of customers and couldn’t check us out in a reasonable time. She recommended that we leave and she would check us out later. She did and it all worked out, but it was uncomfortable way to do business.
