This was the 3rd truck rented within a 3 week period. The 2nd truck was on empty when we picked it up and when turned in , it had more than a 1/4 th of a tank of fuel. Truck clean both times truck was rented. This 3rd time I had someone else drive the truck. He failed to put gas in the truck and I was charged extra for it. There was a film of what desler said was mud. I WAS CHARGED for that. The truck was turned in a day early. I did not get crefit for that or when I gave more gas on 2nd truck than I should have. I have been fair on my part but feel like I was not treated fairly by Uhaul dealer in DeFuniak Springs Fl. I.will have to rent another truck later on this month to finalize my move and it will not be thru B J's Bait in Freeport/DeFuniak Springs. Pleas don't tell me to read the contract again . I always get my uhaul with her. Theres another location but that guy has an attitude and they're not always there. I couldn't drop it off. Had to wait. The employee who we dealt with in order to rent the dolly was extremely rude, loud, and unhelpful. As me and my buddy were outside after connecting the dolly to my truck his girlfriend went inside to use the restroom and heard the employee (not sure what her name is) talking disrespectfully about my buddy and I. Everything was great and did all on-line so fast and easy to do. People were friendly and helpful throughout the entire processLester R.
Although the concept of the 24/7 truck share app is good, the execution needs to be improved: 1) when speaking with the person on the phone it turns out that she got my email address wrong so I had to spend over an hour on the phone and speaking with several people to get that fixed. Couple that with number two. 2) When turning my truck in, the connectivity was so bad that uploading and downloading took several attempts, minimum two, along with refreshes the process easily took twice as long. I was attempting to turn this truck in for an hour instead of the 15 minutes your company sites. Improve connectivity as in better wifi at the site and have your phone people listen when things are being spelled. I wasted almost two hours because of this issue and the email spelling. This is unacceptable customer service. I will be very reluctant to rent from UHaul again. If this is supposed to be a convenience there was nothing convenient about it.karl F.

The truck was full of German roaches. When we opened the back they scattered everywhere. We had to spray the truck before we could use it and I would not have used it at all if I had to transport my household goods. They would have all be infested. Disgusting!!Mitchell F.

The online stuff takes longer than actually picking up the trailer, which is fine, because I did it in my home. I don't know if this was the exact same trailer I have rented before, but I really like it. It is easy to load and it pulls well. The service is great and this time I didn't even have to hook it up, it was done for me.??. I have rented here before and I will again.James E.

I was advised by Uhaul to pick up my truck at 9am. When I arrived at the location the lady that runs the bait shop said she could not rent it until 9:15am. No big deal, but then she said I could go online and request it for 24/7 and I could get the truck now. I have never completed any steps for the online reservation completion online. After the failure for the site to upload my driver's license, the lady advised, "well I can go ahead and see if the system will let me log in." There was a huge lack of communication and customer service. Simple questions asked seemed to be things I should have known. In the past, someone would walk around the truck and ensure the already damaged areas were acknowledged. The gas tank was the last thing checked, but NONE of that happened on this rental. I was suppose to confirm everything on my own. I think this is a huge loss for Uhaul to have the customer take full responsibility for ensuring everything is correct with the RENTAL items. In the end I felt completely frustrated and disrespected because I was treated like I should have known all the steps I needed to take. When it was CLEAR I was upset with the process, a friendly smile or empathy would have gone a long way. I'll be taking my business elsewhere when we move in the coming months.
