Customer Reviews
Be forthcoming of the extra "rental tax" charge... Last week rented a truck, drove 31 miles paid $65.65. Today drove 20 miles, total charges $62.85 The only difference was "rental tax". You mileage charges are already HIGH starting at. 99 per mile, but then to add extra charges, not mentioning, not cool.
Rented a new motorcycle trailer, but not for motorcycle. Needed to move a heavy motorized wheelchair (390lb.) so this trailer w/ramp was the safest way to do it. You should note this in your ad for cycle trailer. Worked great!
Everything was great!
very friendly and professional
They charged 12 dollars it was at half a tank and it came back with half a tank when I took the truck back they were busy and the guy told me he would check it in after I left and would not e mail me with the receipt he added 12,00 for fuel so how could I dispute it I would have stayed if I new I was going to get rip off for my 12,00dollars it may not be a lot to you it is to me I will use a different company next time U HAUL IS A RIPOFF
When I arrived I signed in online to pick up the truck and the person working there had already signed the truck out to someone else. I had to wait for an hour for him to assign me a new truck. This is the second time this has happened. The first time I had a truck reserved and when I got there someone else was driving away in it. Stone Depot LLC didn't have any other trucks so I left. Unfortunately I will not be using this location again and would not recommend Stone Depot LLC to anyone who is trying to rent a uHaul. I'm also curious about the $20 night drop off fee? I rented the truck on a Saturday and Stone Depot is closed Sunday (even though I actually dropped the truck off the same day I rented it (Saturday). Please refund the $20 drop off fee since there was no way for me to return the truck during business hours. Lastly, the clerk was not wearing a mask during our interactions. During this Coronavirus/Covid-19 pandemic it is imperative that businesses take the dangers of the virus seriously. Thank you.
Always outstanding customer service and availability to meet our needs.
When I book a truck at a specific location and I get confirmation, u-haul shouldn't change my location and charge me milage for the difference. Don't offer a specific size truck at specific location if it isn't available. Crappy business practices make me choose other companies first when possible.
Have the employees, including the manager, really work on their customer service skills. We did not feel valued, listened to, or appreciated. Based on that alone, we will go to a different location next time. I thought that was pretty good
Very good service, friendly and good customer service.
They were fast and friendly.
your online check in could use some improvement
All good. The self check in process was a bit of a hassle, but worked.
Give the customers the whole information on the cost of the rental. Caught by pricing suprise
Great service.
Good customer service
Huhâ“ Maybe give your guy Marcus a raise...he's a very valuable, dedicated employee to have...I'm a Company manager..I would love to have him as an employee...he's driven, pays attention to detail...made me feel like nothing else mattered...his total focus was on me..my needs ðŸ‘ðŸ‘👠You definitely have a good one thereâ—
The truck was for a 700 mile one war trip. I had blisters on my hands by the time I finally made it to my destination. The steering was horrendous and bounced all over the road and the transmission would gear down at any point in time. I was scared to death the entire trip. Why are these trucks, especially ones rented for long trips, maintained? The entire experience was horrific.
Just wish your location was closer to where i live.
When I turned on the truck it was making extremely loud noises. The employee checked and found it damaged. This was a huge safety issue, but he did not seem very concerned or apologetic. He just gave me another van. After loading the van I happened to notice that the front tires were totally worn out. I called UHaul and they gave me conflicting information. When I went to location to have the car tow attached, I asked the guy to either replace the van or replace the tires. That was another safety issue. My wife and I were supposed to travel in that truck (with front tires that were 100% worn out), that is if I did not notice this safety issue. Likewise, if I did not know that the first truck was damaged, we would driven that truck across country and absolutely risked our lives. The guy boldly told me that it was my responsibility to verify that the tires and the van were okay before loading or picking it up. I totally disagree with this: doing the necessary safety checks is the full responsibility of UHaul, not the customer. I finally managed (on my own) to get Road Side assistance to come to my apartment and replace the tires. As for the UHaul employee, he did not even bother to attach the tow dolly. There was someone there who volunteered to help. I really do not think this place should have a license to rent UHaul trucks. At some point, if the situation at that UHaul site remains without a major shakeup, sooner or later major safety issues will occur and result in the company being blasted with a multi-million dollar law suit.
Although location owner eventually resolved a billing issue, it was aggravating to deal with. The box truck I rented ran good, but was dirty. The windshield had so many insects on it, I could barely see well enough to get to a service station. This was a rare experience, as I have previously used U-haul for my moving needs.
The service was pertty
Best crew around!
When I brought the truck back the gentleman who worked there was busy with another customer and told me it would be a while before he could help me with turning the truck in. Being disabled myself i wasnt willing to stand around. The gentleman told me he would do the truck later. I told him i had put the proper amount of gas in the truck. He smiled and said tthats ok. At this point iam hoping the guy is honest. Here is another point that U-Haul should observe. When a customer does not bring the truck back with the proper amount of gas in the tank U-Haul charges a fee for that. That's okay but they never fill the truck up. Makes everybody look like they're greedy. I don't like renting trucks that don't have full tanks of gas in them. I went to another U-Haul dealer out in Gresham the big one out there on Hogan a while back and when I return the truck they were going to charge me that fee for not filling up the tank and I went round and round with them about that saying that when we picked it up it had a different mark on the tank than they had put on the contract thank God the person that help me check the truck out had Marked down on the contract itself. The problem was everybody else in the shop had no clue what was going on. That makes the experience for the customer a bad one. I'm glad I found this other dealer on 193rd and Division it was a way better experience. And for shitz and giggles I used to be a U-Haul dealer back in the 90s. So I know how it works
