The lot was closed and online it said they were open until 6. I called multiple times yesterday and today and no one is ever there.

I always had good experience with my rentals, but this time no one wasn't at the location at 9.00Am. After 15 min waiting call 800# they told me to go downtown to pick up a truck, only to find out she did not have a truck for ONE WAY, so had to drive back to previous location. It was very stressful because I had workers waiting for loading the truck.

An absolutely pitiful experience. The U-Haul rep was not there when it was time for me to pick up the truck. He checked my ID over the phone, did not give me any explanation of the procedure or any explanation of the rules. Once I came back to drop off, some guy just asked if I had the truck, grabbed my keys, and handed it off to the next guys. No checking anything. The truck itself was fine, except the gas wasn't filled up (not sure if it's suppose to be). Absolutely would not recommend this location or service to anyone.

The physical location on Almeda looks shady. Place looked closed and gate surrounding location locked. Had to park on side street and U Haul was parked down the street. The auto spa part was closed.

This was a horrible drop off experience. There is no Auto Spa just a closed off parking lot with a shack and tarp area where they maybe wash cars. There was NO sign that read auto spa so it was hard to find AND the parking lot was shut off shut off so there was NOWHERE at the business to park the vehicle at 4 pm on a Sunday. I had to park on the street nearby and hope for the best. The shack was dirty looking and the parking lot itself was all torn up anyways. It was a very confusing to figure out what to do. Oh also the link that U-haul sent me to look up the business’ website was broken or the website was down for Auto Spa.

The location that my reservation was scheduled at is awful. When I went to pick up my scheduled reservation, I was immediately met with attitude for the fellow behind the desk. I was greeted with "what do you want?" Then told I need to make a reservation, I told him I did, he said he didn't have it and when I went to get the conformation from the email he refused to see it and walked outside. I had guessed he went to get someone to help but he just left me there waiting for someone over 30 minutes. it was not even busy. another customer arrived and the man finally came back in and greeted them politely finished with them and I asked again about my truck and he refused to acknowledge me. I had to call the number I made the reservation with and I was told that they could see on the screen that there was a reservation there for me and needed to call them to get them to help me. once they got there to help, I was told that I arrived too late and my reservation was canceled. They said I was supposed to be there at 12:30 pm to which I responded I made the call after 1:00 pm and arrived about 15 minutes after making the reservation. I was then told that the other location needed to make the reservation because they could not to which the other location who was still on the phone had me ask why they could not create a walk up. The man was not happy about doing a walk in and seemed like he was inconvenienced by having to do it. I was quoted a higher price then I was given over the phone but having been there about an hour at this point I just wanted to get moving and did not protest. once I went to the truck I went ahead and took pictures of the damages on the truck so they would not try and accuse me for them. then i remembered that I had originally requested a dolly with the initial reservation so I walked back inside and mentioned that and was told the did not have any, so I mentioned that it was on the original reservation and I had seen several of the rental dollys inside and quickly was told "those are for other people". I was already over it so I just walked away. I got to the storage unit down the street, less than a mile away and when I arrived I just wanted to return the truck and ask for a refund. I already had people who were waiting at the storage unit to help with the move and I needed to at least get our bed out of storage and into the new apartment so my pregnant wife would be able to rest. moving took longer without the dolly and I left the heavier items for another day. after replacing the fuel used I went to drop off the truck after hours there is literally no parking set aside for the truck and they are left on the side of the road open to anyone in Houston, because the property has a chain lock in the driveway. so after circling the place several times someone finally was leaving and a spot was available. I am glad that I drove as a courier for fed ex for many years and that I had someone with me because I needed to parallel park and

I was sent on a wild goose chase, my reservation was canceled and I had to pay extra because of the poor customer service person on the phone. I asked to have someone call me back and to this date no one has ever called. I’d like a refund. Do to the poor service created by the customer service person in the phone which cost me more money than was in my budget. Her response to me when I had to go to another location to retrieve the truck was just spend more money and canceled my reservation

First off this place should not be in the directory for uhuals. This place is very UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE. The owner was not onsite to complete the uhual reservation and he delayed my business event. I was scheduled to get the truck at 2pm didnt get truck till 3:30. Also i was told to leave "I dont know what im talking about" Totally unprofessional I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. I would like a full refund of the amount charged.

Dealer was friendly but lazy- didn’t give me a printed contract or go over the mileage / condition check with me. He pretty much just gave me the key and pointed to the truck parked on the street. The brochure for insurance coverage he gave me was in a language I don’t speak with no English translation. He gave me a truck that he said had a slow leak in the tire but he couldn’t do anything about it and said I should take it to the nearby main U-Haul site to trade it in. I did just that but it turns out that’s not the way it works... However, Ms. Amanda at the San Jacinto location was fantastic at helping me out— she totally went out of her way to help and got me back on the road. So, the car wash dealer where you sent me to pick up the truck sucked but the San Jacinto U-Haul site people were great. The detour wasted two hours of my time on moving day but I made it to where I was headed in the end. Only wish I could have picked up at a site of my choosing.
