This experience was very unprofessional. When I arrived at this location the truck was present but there no keys at the time of pick up. We waited almost 45 minutes to recieve keys. When we opened the back of truck we noticed broken glass and empty beer bottles. The truck was not inspected or checked prior to.

The staff (Regina & Ella) were great. I do have to tell you that my move was delayed by 2 days because the van I had reserved had not been returned. This location has very few vehicles. They were unable to accommodate me as all other vehicles were also out. Fortunately, I was able to reschedule, and all went smoothly. I would also say that there should be a system for returning rentals after the facility is closed. They close at 7PM promptly, and I had to wait (spending $20 to park the van safely) until the next morning to return the vehicle.

Make sure the workers don't charge extra for gas. We drove a grand total of 11 miles and put 2 gallons of gas in the vehicle and brought back the vehicle with the correct amount of fuel but the worker could not read the level in the vehicle and still charged us for 1 gallon of gas and refused to come outside and look at the fuel gauge with since he read it incorrectly

UHaul corporate did a VERY poor job because I had to make several phone calls to get my receipt after returning the vehicle. It was a big load of BS. I have to get reimbursed and all I got was an estimate, then a partial bill with $0 paid, then I was told that Storage Blue can't help me, I have to call UHaul directly just to get my damn receipt. The receipt was supposed to be emailed to me automatically a few minutes after I returned the truck, and all I got was this survey. Well, shove your survey, UHaul!

Just do what you verbally agree to do for the customer or have the courage to say your request is not possible then negotiat something mutually agreeable and follow thru with the verbal plan until it can be documented and approved.

This was an excellent experience, reasonably priced, and the vehicle was practially new! The folks at StorageBlue are very helpful and professional and I appreaciated the pointers the lady at the counter gave me, and the suggestion by the fellow who checked in the van when I was done. The only reason I didn't rate "overall rating" as Excellent is the out-of-Hoboken location on Coles Street (just across the railroad tracks), but it's not a big deal really and worth the walk across to Jersey City. Thanks for a good service!

When I picked up the truck, it only had 3/4 of the tank full, but the pickup sheet listed a full tank. I was then charged for the full tank after I refilled it to the level I got it. I have opened a claim with the receipt. This is an extra hassle I'd like to avoid in the future.

I called the pickup location on Friday to verify that they had my reservation. Their response was yes. At the location this morning to pick up the truck, they stated that I had no reservation in the system. After showing my confirmation, I was able to get a truck 40 minutes later. The truck did not have a full tank of gas, the tire pressure gauge was flashing, and the driver window would not stay up. I was truly disappointed with the service and never again will I us U-Haul.

Everything was easy with reservation and rental, staff person was nice, friendly, and vehicle was in beautiful condition. However, my only complaint is that I was a charged a $5 fee after the fact that was not disclosed when I made the reservation, only when I was emailed the final bill. I called U-Haul, and was told it is a NJ fee. I said it should have been listed on the estimate that I was shown when I made the reservation online. The representative that I talked to said , but the form she sent has the fees listed but does not have my signature so I’m not sure if it’s what I actually signed when I picked up the van. But, even if it was on that form, it should’ve been mentioned earlier, or pointed out when I came in and actually sign the contract, as it was very easy to miss among the estimated taxes.
