Attn : Joe Shoen U-Haul International Edward Joseph "Joe" Shoen (born October 28, 1949) is an American businessman. He is the president, chairman, and chief executive officer (CEO) of AMERCO , the holding company of U-Haul International. order # 29921508 The alleged owner of the business where your branch was located caused me a lot of grief, and delay. He prevented me from completing my transaction, and paying my bill. I have yet to receive a full receipt for charges. The incident began when I asked my moving helper to throw a large bag of trash in the dumpster behind this business. My helper got permission from an employee to do so. The unknown to me business owner came into the store with an attitude of arrogance and anger. He said I owed him $24 for depositing my trash in his bin. I instructed this person to tell my helper to remove the garbage from the bin. This scumbag business owner and I began to exchange words. At one point he stated, in front of a witness, he had nothing to do with Uhaul. So I asked him why was he even talking to me. He then instructed the employee to stop processing my payment. And I waited and waited and waited. More words were exchanged and the owner insisted I leave the premises before concluding my payment. I refused to leave until I completed my transaction. He then got on a radio and called "some sort of security" for backup to remove me from the premises. I then left immediately, fearing for my safety. I may pursue legal remedy as I have deep legal skills, and lots of experience. I want Uhaul to rescind his franchise, and stop doing business with this person immediately. He is very bad news. He treats his employees just as bad, from my observation. I have the right to stop payment on this transaction. I contacted my credit card company minutes after I left that location, explaining the situation, and demanding I have the ability to stop payment. They agreed to support me. I want the detailed bill from Uhaul on this transaction. If I do not receive a detailed bill from Uhaul, or I decide to pursue legal action, or both, I will stop payment on the bill. In which case Uhaul will be included in the filing. This is to be considered proper legal notice of intent to file. I will also be contacting the CEO of Uhaul, in his/her personal capacity, with a notice of intent to file, and an accompanying affadavit. I am NOT going to let this evil, nasty person off the hook. It took an hour ti pick up my truck even after having had a reservation because the location did not have it avaialable once they said they did. It then took an hour to drop it off. Employees were rude and then tried to charge 27$ for a gallon of gas after I returned it at the level i received it with.

Personnel were very helpful in getting the trailer safely hooked up. This pick up location was not necessarily convenient for me but the people were helpful and interested in making sure i had safely hooked up the trailer.

My comments should not be reflective of Rio Grande Supermarket. My reservation was to pick this unit up a a location near my home (2.3 miles away). They claimed there was an issue with my reservation so as a result, I had to drive 45 minutes, one way to Rio Grande to pickup the Uhaul. This set us behind on time etc ... so not pleased with Uhaul's reservation system!

The actual truck was clean but some reason the back of the truck smelled very bad. I'm not sure where the smell was coming from but if possible I would try to address the issue if I was the owner

Customer service was not good. The Uhaul is located in a food market. The young lady stopped helping me when a customer came to the cash register to cash them out. Then, she had took a phone call that was placed on hold by another associate. I was there 1st and should've been taking care of before either customer. Then I was charged for 1 gallon of gas when we all know that getting the gas to the exact mark is pretty difficult. That should've never been an issue. I was also told that they don't do daily rates or you can't drop the keys in the drop box but when I came back I was charged for a daily rate and they had a drop box in front of the store and it was an option of doing mobile pickup and drop off so I'm confused about that. I could've taken my time instead of rushing with the move. One positive note is that the van was in good shape and clean.

Was told to pick up at 8am when they opened. Got there at 8am, store was open, uhaul wasn't available until 9. Had to leave and go back. We were late for pickup. Should have been made aware of that time issue when I booked it.
