No one was there for our scheduled time. Several other people were waiting to be helped as well. A staff member finally came later but was not wearing a mask. I felt very unsafe. We had to follow this staff member to their lot (near the Somers Commons Shopping Center) to retrieve the truck. We were not given any instructions, just handed the key. It was so disorganized. I had ordered furniture blankets online but they were not there. After the move we realized the mileage on the contract they sent me via email was wrong, stating we drove almost 3x the miles we actually did. I highly suggest taking a picture of the speedometer and gas gauge before you leave with the truck as proof. It is also important to note that you need to drop the truck off at the business location, not the lot. It was all very confusing. I called with questions several times but had to go to voicemail or deal with very dismissive staff. Also beware of the drop off policy after hours. A staff member said to just drop off the key in the drop box. You need to complete a return on the website that makes you share your location, take pictures, etc. I would definitely not use this location again or recommend it to anyone.

The truck was ready and waiting for me. The staff was rude when I returned my vehicle as they did not expect me back so soon since I did not need all 7 hours. They were not flexible when I asked if the UHaul could be returned at a different location. Overall the truck was fine the staff was not.

None of the UHaul staff were wearing masks. It was a small space and when they spoke with me and other customers they opened the window separating us - breathing on me 1 foot from my face. I felt my life was at risk. I asked that they put on a mask and was ignored. UHaul needs to require their employees who work with the public wear masks. It is unconscionable that they don't.

I did a self-return on Sunday, Oct. 11th but the APP could not find my location (the APP asked me to share my location to makes sure I was at correct Uhaul). My location setting was ON. It would not allow me to skip this nor proceed to upload pics. I left the truck and called Lil Pete's the next morning to see if I had to go again, but he said all was ok and truck had already been returned. Employee emailed me the receipt. HE was helpful. The APP needs to have option to skip "share location" setting or be able to skip it.

Doesn't a rental company do a walk around of the truck and vehicle trailer before a customer leaves the shop to make sure they are familiar with everything? I was surprised and disappointed that they simply gave me the keys and sent me on my way. What if I loaded my vehicle on the trailer incorrectly and killed someone?

I had to wait 35 min for truck to be brought from a remote location. The U-Haul online sign up was awkward and difficult. The staff at Lil Pete's did step up and get me on the road when they by-passed the mobile sign in.

I was charged 66.00 cleaning bill for a white piece of plastic that in the truck when I received it. I small band aid on the floor of the truck.


Gas tank was empty. 3 check engine lights. 1st location reserved a local when I requested one way. No truck available so had to go to another location 11 miles away. Counter person was on personal call and made 3 customers wait.


Hard to find location, hidden behind other buildings.


Will probably use a different location with my next rental. Gentleman who checked me in was great.

The process of getting the truck was outragiously complicated. I hope I never have to use Uhaul again. THat's how bad the process was.

Had the worst experience picking up my truck. I would have cancelled if I had another option but since it was so last minute,I had no choice. The app didn't allow me to pick up my truck. My reservation needed to be verified and it took half an hour for someone to get to that. Then the reservation suddenly disappeared from the app so I couldn't get the keys to the truck. I waited on hold for another half an hour for anyone from customer service to get to me. Then the person helping me just kept telling me to restart my app even though that obviously wasn't helping. She didn't know how to actually fix anything. Eventually the poor hertz guy came out and changed my reservation to another truck so I could at least get on the road. But it took him another half hour to do it. And it's not his job. You guys should have a better system for actually helping when there's an issue. It put me back hours in my move. I was livid. If it weren't for the hertz worker, I'd still be trying to unlock that truck.

If the price is the same in every uhall location then people should not play with the price and bring it up. They think cause it's a women it's ok it's not. On Saturday May 23 I got a UHal from Maryland to NY paid 207 with tax extra miles came to 227. Few days later I go to Mahopac NY and they try to charge me 477.00 before that 377.00 for a 5 hour trip and I turned uhall in next day not even 24 hours . There something wrong and I will get my money back

I pre-ordered and paid for moving blankets, and was told upon arrival the day of my move that they were not available and was offered no alternated other than "go to walmart and buy them there" I placed the order to rent the blankets well over a week in advance, and was smugly told by the attendant this isn't a uhaul hub, we don't have anything, 'what you don't have moving blankets?' ..No. that is why I elected the service to rent them.. My advice: please don't try to up sell your clients at every turn on the website if you cannot deliver the product.
