This location did not have our truck reservation ready at the time of pickup. There was no key in the box. The office was supposed to be open but no one was there to help us. After calling different numbers we were told the woman had not seen our reservation and had left. She came back and we finally got a truck an hour after our pickup time. The furniture dolly and blankets we reserved were also missing and we didn't get them. The inside of the truck was full of dirt. We were not happy with our experience and it set our moving plans for the day back
My contract stated that their was 3/4 of a tank of gas in the vehicle when I rented it therefore I was to return it with 3/4 of a tank. The fuel gauge was just over half a tank below 3/4 when I got in the uhaul.
My debit card got charged for an extra day. I then had to call the rental facility and was told that the money would be put back in my account. I never received an email receipt back from Uhaul stating that the money had been replaced. I would like to know that the money was replaced and received a receipt stating that.
The proprietor of this location went above and beyond with his help regarding my rental from his location,Santana did a great job in the office and they had me on my way post haste.
The uhaul truck I rented was definitely not cleaned prior to arrival and me renting the vehicle. They hadn't even kicked the mud out of the floorboards, which was not a good way to start off this rental, getting mud all over your pants and shoes,.. only to move a gun safe from point A to point B. After several hours of lifting and straining, I returned the u-haul, I backed the truck in perfectly so it would look good. I even took out one of my portable vacuums and cleaned the whole front cab, just to ensure there would be no issues and so next person renting wouldn't have to experience that. After that disaster of a rental, I had already overpaid dramatically, which was about 72 dollars for a 15ft truck for 3 hours... that's insane but nevertheless I was over charged 35 dollars!!! So it come up to like 110 dollars??? Thankfully, I used the chat with an agent service and I'm supposed to have that refunded back but we'll see. I've used uhaul for many years and for many moves, but if this experience is an example of how this company operates nowadays, this will definitely be my last time and I'll be more than happy to spread the word.
I had never used UHaul before and the direction giving for returning the truck wasn't clear, which cost another 20.00 per person.
Make the address on the sign bigger. Put the right name on the place. I had a hard time determining if I was in the right location even though I seen the trucks.
