Arrived in CT only to find the manual contract (system was down in Plymouth) was not entered so they werent expecting me. Minor hiccup but almost become an issue when I requested a reciept and told no, becuase it not in the system. I did receive the $ credit so all ended well.

The representative at this location is extremely customer focused & a very nice fellow. He waited for me to go fill up at the gas station, which entailed him waiting past his closing hour for me. I've never experienced this kind of flexibility & kindness from any rental agency ever before. He has my business forever, and I am telling all my neighbors about this small business owner.

I was promised a rate of $104 with $22-24 for purchasing blankets and reserving a dolly. I was not given a contract at pick up. At drop off I was charged WAY over what I’d been promised, an amount of $165. I am very angry that I was promised an amount and then was charged more by your company. You do not have my signature, and I was hoodwinked. Stating one amount then charging a higher one is LLEGAL. I have proof in writing from U-Haul and the detailed notes I kept. I insist I be reimbursed.

I was disappointed that there wasn't a utility dolly (hand truck) inside the 15' Moving Van when I picked it up. This lack of proper moving equipment caused me and my sons quite a lot of difficulty moving a big, heavy armoire.

I made a reservation for a 26' truck to be picked up on 10/28 in Highland, NY. Received a call at 6:45 PM on 10/27 to tell me the only available truck was a 17' truck in another location nearly 30 miles away. After a long search, the representative was able to get the reserved truck in the New Milford location, over 60 miles away from my reserved/preferred location. This was a totally unacceptable outcome, yet I needed to move my entire house, so had no choice but to go with this option. The staff at the New Milford location was very nice, this the rating above, however this experience (my 5th Uhaul experience in 18 months) was HORRIBLE!! Why would the company offer reservations if it has no intention or ability to honor them? I reserved the largest Uhaul truck available for a very specific date... only to be told at the 11th hour that it wasn't available. If not for my ability to drive to ANOTHER STATE to pick up a truck, my move would have been destroyed. We rent trucks 2-3 times a year for various reasons and was real happy when I found out this place had recently moved here and offered the larger truck rentals and has plenty of room Easy in and out and definetly will be back for future rentals

U haul is supposed to be a flexible and profitable service , upon renting my trailer , I received a call stating that my reserved trailer was already given out, and I was instead given a large trailer . I was making a one way trip to New Jersey and planing on leaving immediately after picking up my trailer , I was told that this was a " local trailer" even though it had Colorado plates ? Thus forcing me to not only pay tolls on it one way- but now forcing me to make a whole their trip with tolls back with an empty trailer ! Will NEVER use u - haul again !

Of note, the Vehicle would not accept gasoline above the 3/4 amount. This was the amount that was in the van when I left Brigton, and was all i could do to fill the tank when I dropped it off.

I was told there would be staff to assist in the returning of the truck (I returned it at approximately 3pm. I had to guess entirely on where to park and what to do etc. If it were not for the cleaning lady at the location then I would not have known anything about key drop off. I got the email about 4-5hours later with detailed instructions for drop off... thankful for common sense and the cleaning lady.

The only problem is that Val B in New Milford called at noon that day and said we did not pick up the Uhaul we reserved. That was our first choice of locations and someone called from Uhaul and told me to go to 48 Anderson Road in New Milford CT. So I had two trucks on reserve, not my fault.

Was charged 1000 more miles than actually went due to attendant not reading the mileage correctly when checking in the vehicle after a Sunday drop box return. Making another problem for me to catch his mistake and get it resolved.
