I would very highly recommend using this U-Haul location. We have used it twice in the past six months and dealt with Chris. Chris is extremely easy to deal with and very reliable. Chris made both of our moving experiences worry free when I came to renting and returning our uhaul truck.

My horrible uhaul experience recounted for you: 1) Fuel was at 1/4 tank, so instead of starting my move immediately, I had to go fill up the gas tank first. 2) The uhaul trucks were all lined up with about 2 inches between each side mirror. I picked this truck up at 6am in the dark so let me tell you how difficult that was to inspect the truck for any dings or damage when it's parked literally right on top of other trucks on either side of it. Not to mention when I reversed the truck, I'm lucky to have not side swiped one of the trucks on either side of mine with the side mirrors. Parked WAY too close to other trucks. 3) I rented this truck after hours through the website. I was chatting with the online customer service rep and they said to please provide an "alternate emergency contact." I gave them my mom's name and phone number. I had NO idea they were going to call her at 6am in the morning. Had I known that, I would've chose someone else who 1) would've been awake at that hour and 2) would've been prepared to receive a phone call about my rental. My mom was not expecting a call and, upon answering the phone, was asked 1) do you know this uhaul renter 2) are you aware of his uhaul rental. My mom took this bright and early phone call with those questions and assumed I had been in a wreck and told me she was on the verge of tears after this phone call and was going to take the next hour to calm her heart rate back down. You should 1) tell the person renting that you will be CALLING the person that you provide contact info for so the customer can notify the other party ahead of time and 2) you should tell the person you're verifying info with that the uhaul customer is picking up a truck after hours so you have a couple verification questions to ask to verify identity (don't just start asking questions that makes it sound like someone just got injured in an accident...use your head). The customer service rep called me after getting off the phone with my mom and told me that she thought she had upset my mom emotionally and chuckled about it. It was not funny. 4) A dolly and packing blankets were already in the back of the uhaul even though I did not request them. They got in my way when I was trying to load the truck and were a frustrating nuisance. Also, my dolly and packing blankets in the back of the truck already had the seal broken from them which made me think "great...now they're going to think I used them and they're going to charge me for them," so I made sure to tell the business owner that when I dropped the truck back off. If I don't want them on my truck they shouldn't take up room on my truck nor should I then be liable for any damages or broken seals you find on them later when reinspecting the truck. Just shouldn't be a worry. Get them off the truck. 5) Upon returning the truck at 4:20PM, I took the truck key inside and told the business owner that I was returning a truck. He said ok and to leave the key

This was the SECOND time in a row, that I have brought my personal business to Uhaul, dropped off my truck after usage, and then been contacted a couple of days later with someone claiming that I never turned the truck in. This was ABSOLUTELY insufferable and ridiculous. PLEASE DO A BETTER JOB OF NOT CONSTANTLY ACCUSING YOUR CUSTOMERS OF THEFT. I am sure you make a good amount of revenue from that arena of your business model, but PLEASE do not aggressively HOPE that you have someone screwed, and then contact them excited for more money. I DO NOT want this complaint to reflect on Christina or the other fellow I spoke with on PHONE from Uhaul, as they were both terrific and helpful. The FIRST time I was accused of not turning a truck in, it was at the Kokomo, IN location and the General Manager was refusing to simply check security cams. Upon doing so, he was able to see that I had turned it in EARLY. This time it was just a drop off, but checking in the trucks is a simple matter of matching Serial Numbers. Please be thorough.... I likely will never hire services from uhaul again. Two horrible experiences in a row makes it very hard to imagine that I will be okay with doing business through Uhaul. Sorry to have negative feedback, but it was important for me to communicate my displeasure with what I have spent a good amount of money on. thanks for your time. Shawn

Please maintain the equipment better. The cargo area above the cab leaked and ruined several boxes of treasured, and un-replaceable, keepsakes. Also the driver door rattled with wind noise above 50 MPH.
