Reconsider the truck size info on your site, a 10' is not big enough for a 1 bedroom, I went for this truck based on the description, it was way too small!!
I'm used to walking into a U-Haul store and being able to shop for supplies (boxes, tape, etc.) but not here. It's like a back alley garage but the guy was super nice and very helpful and I was able to move from one apartment to another but went over my rental time and wasn't harassed into returning the truck.
The gentleman whom I worked with where I picked up the truck was very kind, knowledgeable and professional. I would definitely chose this location again.

It should be more clear that the additional contact is going to be contacting by uhaul and needs to answer their phone to verify identity. All it says is to provide an additional contact, so I assumed that was in case of emergency. It made the pick up process a lot slower than expected.
Long wait time for approval process. False advertising for an all day delivery when your truck guy calls and says it's 6 hours.
Nothing. It was very easy to access the truck using the remote system with my cell phone, directions were clear and drop off was simple and quick.
Good communication. Owner is very responsive and helps with any issues.

The owner tried to say we damaged he vehicle which is completely false ! Stay away from this location as it is a scam !!!

Everything was great,The van that I had reserved for 4 hrs was coming back late by about 15 mins and I got a call ahead of time to let me know. Location is 5 mins from my house,staff efficient and kept me updated.
REQUESTED AND PAID FOR AN APPLIANCE DOLLY TO BE IN CARGO VAN. THERE WAS NO DOLLY. IT WAS A SUNDAY, SO THE PLACE WAS CLOSED AND NO ONE WAS THERE TO HELP US RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. WE SPENT 45 MINUTES IN THE PARKING LOT GETTING THROUGH TO A REP AT U-HAUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. THE LADY WAS VERY HELPFUL AND ADVISED THAT, IF WE DROVE TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION IN TORRANCE, THAT WE COULD GET A DOLLY FROM THEM. IT TOOK US 15 MINUTES OUT OF THE WAY (EACH WAY) TO GET THE DOLLY, BUT WAS ABLE TO RETRIEVE IT. MIND YOU, WE RESERVED THE VAN FOR THREE HOURS KNOWING WE WOULD GET THE JOB DONE IN THAT AMOUNT OF TIME. WE ARE NOW DOWN TO TWO HOURS BECAUSE OF THE DOLLY SITUATION. I GET A TET MESSAGE, 20 MINUTES BEFORE THE VAN WAS "SCHEDULED" TO BE BACK ADVISING THAT WE HAD TO HAVE THE VAN BACK BY THAT TIME BECAUSE ANOTHER FAMILY WAS SCHEDULED TO USE IT. I CALLED THE GUY BACK AND SAID THAT UNFORTUNATELY, DUE TO OUR ORDER NOT BEING COMPLETE WHEN WE PICKED UP THE VAN, IT WOULD PROBABLY BE AN HOUR LATER THAN WE ESTIMATED. NO APOLOGY FOR OUR TROUBLES, NO PROMISE TO TAKE THE DOLLY OFF OF OUR BILL, OR GUARANTEE THAT WE WOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR THE EXTRA MILES WE WENT OUT OF OUR WAY TO GET IT, JUST AN EXPLANATION ABOUT HOW THIS CREATES A PROBLEM FOR HIM. WE FINISHED OUR JOB AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE, ALL THE WHILE RECEIVING TEXTS ASKING WHAT OUR "ETA" WAS GOING TO BE. WHEN WE RETURNED THE VAN, HE SAID THAT HE WOULD "TAKE CARE OF RETURNING THE DOLY FOR US." AS IF WE WERE EVEN CONSIDERING GOING OUT OF OUR WAY AGAIN. THEN HE EXPLAINED HOW PISSED OFF THE GUY THAT RUNS THE PLACE WAS FOR US RETURNING THE VAN LATE, THAT HE WANTED TO CHARGE US FOR ANOTHER DAY! I HAD TO EXPLAIN THAT THE LATENESS WAS MOST CERTAINLY 100% THEIR FAULT AND THEN HAD TO PAY FULL PRICE FOR THE DOLLY, THE VAN, ALL OF THE EXTRA MILES UNNECESSARY MILES, AND $20 IN GAS.
The UHaul website for self-service check out was very user unfriendly and it took us 90 minutes to complete this process!!! Frustrating beyond belief!!! Will use UHaul again but NOT the self-service part of the rental.
This policy of contacting â€œreferencesâ€ when you get to the truck you are supposed is a poor practice. I was dropped off at the truck, which I rented online the night before, and expected to do an inspection and hit the road. Instead I was stuck in an ally in the cold waiting for someone to call references. I have a wife and mother who both could have be stuck in the same situation. I will never use your services again.
