The trailer we rented needed to be swept out before we could use it. I did not check the inside of the trailer before we left LaPoint Tire. I'm sure if I had the attendant would have swept it out for me. The service at LaPoint Tire was very good.

I had a scheduled a 7AM pick up in Chippewa Falls. My equipment was not available at that location so I needed to use LaPoint Tire in Rice Lake for pick up. I was told this was a 24 he pick up location. When I arrived at LaPoint they were not open. I called UHaul customer service and they got me the code for the lock box. To my surprise the code was already on the box (I didn't have to spin any numbers). I opened the box and found nothing. I called the area manager, Joe, to try and figure it out. He called the multiple numbers he had listed as contacts for LaPoint, and not a single one answered. So I waited. LaPoint is advertised to be open at 8:00. It was 8:01 and an employee finally showed up. When I told him I had been waiting for and hour and asked him to get me the key, he didn't even have the keys to the shop. I asked him how he was responsible for opening the shop at 8:00, show up late and not even have his key. He informed me they didn't even open until 8:30. I demanded that he figured it out, and he said there was "nothing he could do." I said, "call someone and get them here ASAP." I was not pleased at this point. After my continued demands that he figure something out, he admitted that he "forgot" to put the UHaul key on the lockbox the day before. He obviously isn't very good with keys. After yet another call to Joe another employee finally showed up and opened the business doors and I got my key and left. I certainly would not recommend or trust LaPoint Tire to provide the customer service and support that UHaul expects. If I'm ever told to use them again, I simply will find a different moving company. It put my moving day 90 minutes behind schedule.

Point of location was not the issue, our issue was the "U-haul.com site". This site is so NOT user friendly for our i-phone, our location sight was closed on the week-end, so we had to use our phones for pick-up access.There was another couple at this same location trying to pick up their rental truck too, they were having the same problem, with their phones. What a joke, after numerous phone calls to 1-800-U-haul between Friday evening & Saturday pick-up, they called in a Field Supervisor & he had to come from another city over an hour away to get us hooked up with our truck so we could continue with our move. This was over 4 hours of wasted time for packing, needless to say very frustrating. The Field Supervisor was our only "saving grace" in this whole mess and I do thank him! I will never recommend this company for any thing again.

A bit frustrated with the return process. We returned the trailer well before it was due. Received two phone calls and and email asking where it was because the place we rented it from did not complete the return. Why didn't you contact the company rather than the customer. Very unhappy with this procedure.

This was a terrible experience. I called weeks in advance ordered a 20 ft truck. I did not feel that he was experienced so I went to see Jessie Black two times in person to insure that all would be ready for me on the 13th of September. The truck was not there, there was little record of me ordering the truck. After a half hour and only because the staff recognized me the let me know that One. Jessie Black was not there and that my truck was in Rice Lake Wisconsin. That is 20 miles from Cumberland. I had hired loaders that were waiting for the truck. I drove to Rice Lake and that person only found the truck as I said I was moving to Texas. He said he has a 25 foot truck for Texas. Everything was wrong on the order. Jessie had mistyped my email. so I did not get a confirmation. NOR did I know I was to get one. He had my name spelled wrong. It was with great luck that after an hour I had a truck. I needed to be out as I was closing the next morning. After driving a short time I found no air conditioning working. As I was assured this was the only truck available we continued on and the trip was worse. After loading the truck and going to the closing on the 14th we started driving to Texas on the 15th. After an hour on the road, hot and worried as the truck was not working well the engine light came on. We called the number a local uhaul and they gave us the wrong number and got the traffic department not road side assistance. On the side of the road we then called road side assistance. I was while waiting we also reported that one of the wind shield whippers was destroyed. We paid for a new one at a store. Finally when we got the road side lady ( when we asked her name she said Linda when asked for her last name or an employee number so we could verify that we called Linda said she has no last name) We were told that if the fluids were ok we should just keep going. So we drove all the way to Texas in a truck with a service light on, no air and at times the truck would only go 65 miles an hour. At this point everyone was at best unprofessional and at worst rude and unconcerned. Morgan who checked us in was helpful . This was not what I expected or wanted when I chose U Haul for this move.

This location in rice Lake was wonderful the staff was very prompt and super helpful they directed me where to park the trailer and came out and headed unhook before I could even get out of my truck. I would rent from the place in rice Lake.

it took 30 minutes to get my contract written up, and I had been a previous customer. The computer link with UHaul would not record information correctly. Very frustrating. The owner said this happens often. I will try not to go back there for rentals.
