The vendor at the location was great-- however, the Uhaul self-service rental process was so frustrating!! The vendor just did it for me.

Customer Service representatives at the gas station (Valero) were not able to help with my moving help order - so if someone is also scheduling moving help with Uhaul I would recommend that they pick up their Uhaul Van/Truck at a Uhaul store. I needed help to reschedule an alternative moving helper because Primera Movers booked through movinghelp.com did not answer their phone and never contacted me about the order. I was not able to contact anyone at movinghelp.com either.

Brooke was my online contact who verified my identity. I was impatient with Brooke due to all the verification steps, and she did not deserve that. While it is not an excuse, I am under the weather and feeling poorly and projected that onto Brooke. She did an excellent job.

The truck was waiting for me when I got there, which was a relief to see. I tried to do the self check-in and it didn't work but the folks at the Valero were super helpful and got me out of there quickly. The truck was brand new. Overall easy and positive experience. My pick up location was switched at the last minute due to a previous customer not returning a truck to my original location. I was a little upset that my location was now further away from my move site and thus I would have to pay more money for the additional miles. However, this locations customer service was so professional and organized that it made up for the extra hassle. The staff at this site was great and the truck was in great shape. They even let me extend my original reservation a few hours.

I believe costumer service was not acceptable. The truck was really in horrible status.( if I wasn't under schedule I will not take it) Engine light was on. My feet was burned with the heat of the engine I really was so angry that I kept this truck for today with missed up transmission.

The outside of the van needed a wash and the inside smelled like wet dogs. Other than that it was a great van with very low milage, from memory it had only 4285 miles on it when I picked it up. That's why I gave 5 stars anyway!

I was very disappointed with the mobile app, this caused a great deal of frustration and delayed my moving by a half an hour. I was in the middle of using the app about to check out when another guy walked up and got in the truck the app was telling me to use and drove away. Apparently he had gone inside and rented directly from the counter while I was doing the app and he got my truck so I had to close down everything and start again. VERY UNHAPPY.

Checking in was painfully long, I know this place is also a gas station, but every time another customer came in the clerk would stop helping me to ring them up. I thought after two or three times it was ok but it didn't stop. I was there for 25 minutes (I had a reservation!) waiting for her to ring everyone else up. She told me that she had to help them first and "if you want to I could go somewhere else you can". She, Rosa, was rude and dismissive. And then she didn't know how to use the computer to process my reservation, having to call someone for assistance. She quipped "you should have checked in online", which I didn't think was a requirement. I'll never go there again even for gas, and I'd be very worried if that location was representing my brand. Next time I need a rental moving van/truck I might look at other providers before Uhaul.

Had to pay double the rate because I was a few minutes late, even though no one else had signed up to drive the truck later that day. That not a good way to keep a customer base, will use penske next time most likely
