The equipment was clean but perhaps not well maintained. Both doors to the cab had to be slammed in order to close properly. The transmission worked but it seemed like the engine was working too hard at times it shouldn’t have been (like going downhill and slowing down down with no load in the truck.)

It was a hot day in San Diego and the AC was not working. I went an hour over my reservation time, and only 15 minutes past my pick up time the day before. I was charged an extra day plus an extra day on the insurance! The location could have been more accommodating.
GREGORY KThe parking area was very difficult to get out of. Very busy and congested. Also, I was charged $15 for some type of insurance, which I was never t aware of or asked if I wanted it. I have rented from U-Haul in the past and I do not ever recall paying for this. I called around 4pm and the person who answered the phone said they were busy and that they would call me back in about 20 minutes. They never called back.
Raul VWe were able to drop off after hours and put key in a key drop box so it was perfect for our needs.
TAMARA WI wasn’t told about the 15 minute window for pick up. That would’ve been nice to know. The app and website wasn’t user friendly. I resorted to calling the 24/7 line where the lady who picked up was absolutely amazing and turned my whole experience around. She stayed on the phone with me until I was inside the U-Haul. She even helped me trouble shoot my iPhone location enabler. The area felt safe for me to navigate the process alone. I appreciate the self check in and pick up
