The rental facility was not staffed when I first tried to rent a truck on 7-12-18. When I rented on 7-13-18, there was a delay due to computer being turned off. Vehicle was dusty inside and out. The rental place put gas in the tank after I dropped it off and charged me extra. I drove 20 miles total and showed the attendant a receipt for 2 gallons of gas purchased three minutes prior to return. I dislike being nickeled and dimed in that way.

Actually i reserved truck near my house, customer service called and said they were not able to provide me truck for the selected date and time and asked me to pick up at different location and promised me free miles, but it was not taken care. I am unhappy with the entire transaction.

I arrived 8:30 am to pick up truck reserved at 9:00 am. the wifi in the 76 gas station location is so poor that the U-Haul app didnt work. I spent 45 minutes with customer service hoping to resolve the issue so I can pick up my truck. the U-haul web server simply hung even I have crawling wifi signals. I had to wait for the live person arrive at 10:00 am to check out the truck. very very unsatisfactory as I have wasted 1 1/2 hours to pick up truck. with two movers supposed to start the work at 9:00am. I recommend U-haul not allow online pick up or fix the u-haul web server connectivity issues.

Dash board very dusty. Windshield dirty. >>Right mirrors don't hold position << Very dangerous! Cargo area clean. They charged me 2 days. I only had One day. Guy keeps saying when I see the lady that does that. So, call her. I am owed refund. Cashier broken English. Doesn't even drive. So I had to park it after gasing it up in tight turn area. Glad I'm a great driver. Will not use this location again.

Received phone call the day before I was to pick up the vehicle at 9am telling me the vehicle had to be returned no later than 1pm. It had been rented to someone else at 3pm. Just 30 minutes prior to the call from U-haul-76 gas station, I called them to confirm that I had the truck for 24 hours from the time I picked it up and was assured that I did. Consequently, I had time to move only one load and had to rent another truck three days later to complete my move. Very inconvenient as well as costly. Bad Business Dale Lassner

Truck was old, sweetly , noisy and chewing gum was no the seat . Lady came late for booked truck and there was no key dropping option available . She told me to throw the the key inside but there was no whole in the outlet . Not a good experience at all.

Some interior lighting fixtures in van were loose and hanging from the ceiling -- not a problem, but cause for concern for potential damage liability. Initial charges were confusing on the online system. In particular, my first quote was for 79.80 (4x$19.95) for four days, but after I picked up the truck, the quoted price changed to $319.20 for four days, and because of an e-mail problem on my end that kept me from receiving the actual u-haul contract, I was concerned. On the phone, the agent at the site assured me that it would come out all right, and it did. However a past poor experience at a U-haul in Mountain View, CA, has made me cautious of U-haul. In the end, the rental pickup and delivery went smoothly at this location.

I rented the truck on Monday night from a young man (first day on the job). He was very nice, friendly and helpful. I originally asked to rent the truck for 24hrs. But before I left I found out I needed it another day. I asked if that was ok because I would not be able to return it until Wednesday evening. The young man said yes, yes that’s ok. On Wednesday the day I was going to return it in the evening we received a call from a very unfriendly lady who said it was supposed to be back by ten. When we explained how things went down she said “Well you will be charged more”.?? I have rented several times and never had a bad experience. The men that work there have always been nice and helpful. We did exactly what we agreed to and still the Woman said you will be charged more and double for gas.??. Won’t be returning and I will be warning my friends whom I have referred to the Gas Station and UHaul not to go back because of the way we were treated by the Lady on the phone.

Hello, please allow me to explain my frustrations with my recent U-Haul experience. I reserved my U-Haul online. After receiving much communication from the website to try the 24/7 U-Haul service, I decided to give it a try during non-business hours (against my better judgment) but to help facilitate my move. I showed up and got through the app quickly, then was told to ask the attendant for the key. I thought this was strange since everything I read online said the service was so you could pick-up any time and for the fact that the place was closed. I watched the how-to video where they showed customers easily picking up keys in a box. No such box existed at my site. I then clicked on the link that said “Click here if you I can’t get the key.” It gave me a number that was ‘24/7’ access to call. You can imagine my growing frustration when there was no answer to the number I was provided. I ended up calling the 1-800 UHaul number. After a total 40 minute delay, I was connected to someone that gave me the code to an obscure lock box. I can’t help thinking why I wasn’t informed of this process / procedure at the beginning of the process with the code? Please help to explain how this can be. The delay in picking up the vehicle led me to not be able to finish my move before I needed to return to work and to hire additional moving help. My 2nd frustration came during the return of the vehicle. Knowing I had only driven 10 miles, I filled up the gas tank 3 gallons to make sure it was at least at the level I had when I reserved the vehicle. Per U-haul’s guidance online, the 17’ vehicle should get about 10 miles / gallon. I figured filling it 3x the amount should more than cover. Apprarently I was wrong. The attendant checked the gas gauge and after some review, determined it wasn’t enough. I asked him to review my mileage and the amount of gas I just filled. He kept pointing to the ink recorded level of gas at the 3/8th level. Of course as anyone knows, there is some tolerance in recording the gas level as well as the mechanical gas gauge. I informed him that I drove 10 miles and filled 3 gallons. I asked him to check the photo I took during the check-out process (he had no access to this, I’m not sure why this is the case) and kept pointing to the piece of paper. After 5 minutes of discussing, I realized it was useless to argue with an illogical person and didn’t want to be further delayed by U-Haul and the poor customer service any more than I already had that day. He had me go get the vehicle, fill it up .6 of a gallon and put it back. Again, considering the tolerance of documenting + the gas gauge, I found this amusing at the time. If U-Haul is going to bust someone’s balls over the gas gauge reading, I suggest more exact measurement tools / approach. In the end I filled up 3.6 gallons for 10.5 miles of driving. Please help to explain how this can be? I would very much like to speak to management to help me

The driver's window couldn't roll-up and the vehicle had a strong manure odor. The contract was continuously incorrect and they said the printer was not working so they will have to email me a copy. I only received a copy after I was on the road and the terms have been changed from my original reservation. Instead of being charged $19.99 per day they changed the fee to $109 per day. I was asked if I wanted the insurance coverage, I declined, but they charged me for insurance anyway.
