The key was not in the lockbox provided. Thankfully the employee had just gotten there and was able to help even though my pickup was before business hours.
Perry HFirst off , The key was hard to access, instead of just having an employee at the location EVERYTHING is done via an incredibly inconvenient app that kept crashing and not uploading the photos even though we were doing the return photos exactly how they should’ve been done…. the app was barely functioning, and would not let us upload photos of the odometer or the gas meter … wouldn’t upload after pictures of what the inside looked like ?! or the return mileage, so i’m pretty positive that this is just this locations way, of charging people double the price they were promised . I did take my own pictures and videos of everything of course because I’ve had this happen before were they lie and claim you didn’t put something back the way it was, as a way to charge you ridiculous service fees and gas fees even though you absolutely did return it back the way it should’ve been, U-haul is NOTORIOUS for doing this to their customers….then when you call for support everyone you talk to had a horrible attitude, 2/3 women i talked to just hung up when claiming they were “transferring me to someone who could help” haha just all around very unhelpful and stressful experience. I extended the time on accident thinking that we were going to be late. then wound up not needing the extra time , so in total we paid almost $200 for BARELY 3 hours of using the U-haul?!?! that is not a deal at all… it’s actually more like a rip off when we didn’t even drive 100 miles total…. absolutely atrocious return process & my grandmother was the driver and she’s 70, she would have NEVER gotten it figured out without me there to help, I probably took the return photos about 10 different times before I just gave up and took my own photos and videos for proof then left. I hope we NEVER ever need to use a Uhaul again. we would rather put the item on our backs to get it home, or just miss out all together, than to even use this again .
Paddy CThe movers never showed up. I never received a cancelation notice or nobody tried to reschedule with a different company. I will not suggest anyone to use your moving “partners” I scheduled it because I believe they were serious not a joke that they turned out to be
Andrea ZConfirmed there were no pads in the van with customer service, who was very nice. Confirmed it on the app too, where I think final reconciliation happens. Got charged for them anyways. Don’t want to spend half my day to fight for the $10 refund, but it’s not a great look. The equipment and pick up were fine.
