This store location had absolutely no clue what they were doing. When I went to pick up the truck, they told me they needed a $200 deposit for me to get the truck. I had the full payment for the rental. And they told me they wouldn’t accept it without the deposit! Eventually they said I didn’t have to pay the deposit, then gave me a hard time over using my chime or cashapp card. I couldn’t believe it. It took over two hours just to pick up the truck. I want my money back or a partial refund for the issues at pickup.
JOHNATHON SJim was outstanding and really about great customer service. Overall very pleased with my U-Haul experience!!!!!
MICHAEL MI reserved a trailer on-line for return next day. My schedule changed and I needed to rent one-way. I called Jim to see if a problem. He said we will adjust when you come to pick-up. Jim attempted to call me the next day to tell me he could only do rouud-trip with that trailer, but did not leave a message. When I came in to pick-up, he informed me about the trailer, forcing me to rent a more expensive trailer that I did not need. I asked him why he did not leave a phone message and he told me he does not leave messages. I told him that was unprofessional and a poor way to conduct business.
KENNETH MRandomly would disengage from drive…while driving. Quite a fight to lock the shifter into reverse and drive. One time it popped out of drive on a steep incline crossing into the Green Mountains and refused to go into drive. Had to change lanes on a mountain pass to get to the emergency lane with the transmission in neutral. I don’t blame the location for this, it is one trip equipment but I would expect a thorough review of the equipment prior to putting it on a 2400 mile trek.
