The customer service from the little hardware company was wonderful, they went over and above to help us make sure we could get our vehicle on a public holiday. In particularJanice was a please to talk to. There was an issue with the online check-in with the vehicle and this meant quite a few attempts and over an hour passing (which we had paid for) before we could gain access to the vehicle. This was not the stores fault as it was a public holiday but instead the online system which meant we could not get the keys.

parking for the truck was a little bit tricky

Please make it clear on the website that you have to have a credit card in order to rent the gear. I had to leave the store to go get a credit card and even though I said I was coming back, by the time I was back the front desk lady had reserved the van to someone else - and this is why the location is below average. I ended up getting the van but it was a bit of a hassle and totally inconvenient. She said some people just don't come back but 1) I said I was coming back and 2) she had my phone number, why don't just give me a call? Also, when I asked a question nicely about insurance, the same lady laughed and gave me a sassy response in front of everyone in the store, which was totally uncalled for. She needs to check her attitude and have a more professional conduct.

The vehicle was clean but the check engine light was illuminated and when I mentioned that to the store operator I was told that UHaul has told told them that that is normal - I find it unacceptable.

They should clearly explain what I am paying for. I feel tricked into paying for CDW ($15). I should have read more carefully before I signed it, but I ended up paying for a service I did not want.

Loved the humor of the staff. Very friendly, very helpful.

We were running all the time to get rid of the extra fuel charge, cause we're gonna have several moves this month, and we made it that day. we left the tank above the quarter. And all that for nothing, you ended up charging the extra fuel, so instead of paying $19 that is your fake ad, we payed $96, this is insane for driving less than 7 miles. Its actually easy to know that you drove the car after we used it, because we drove less than 7 miles, and the picture you sent us says we drove 9.639 miles. I would never recommend your services. Would have been easier to pay another company which includes the movers.

Nothing wrong with the location but it was a pain to pick up the rental. We wasted 1.25 hrs just to get the Van. Really poor experience.

excellent service from booking, to picking up my rental from Davie St location. (Little Hardware store.) Helpful and friendly staff.

Both employees I dealt with were lovely and very professional, I had such a great experience. Thanks!

both employers were rude and unwilling to help, we had to wait 15 minutes to take our truck as there was another parked in front and they would not move it.

Rude male staff, threatened for charging extra money outside of uhauls regular rate, engine light on on the vehicle and horrible parking area. I always go to the other location on a almost monthly basis for my small business. I am NEVER going to this location again and now I see they charged me for a fuel surcharge as they park the truck on an incline (great scam) . I am very upset at the treatment of customers that pay money for a reliable service such as uhaul.

I was charged an additional fee for gasoline although I DID put gasoline in the truck before I returned it! I did have a better experience with the location on Davie between Bidwell and Denman, this pass Tuesday. I was also having problems with you app today!

Centrally located, this Uhaul location is a great store for all of your moving needs. Friendly staff and its a hardware store to boot! I will definitely rent my next truck or van from The Little Hardware Company Uhaul Store.

They were very helpful and stepped in when we got stuck in the online check in

This was one of my single worst shopping experiences. I am a 32 year old professional and rarely have things bother me. I actually couldn't believe the lack of coordination, comprehension and overall ability to manage any tasks. I spent a total of two hours at the location between pick up and drop off. I had the uhaul for a total of 1.5 hours. My two hours in the store included: three phone calls to the uhaul helpline, two staff members trying to figure out how to take a cash deposit. a 10 dollar gas charge after i put 5 dollars in and only traveled 10 miles. There was also no initial inspection of fuel check done when given the truck, no damage inspection, no receipt and even thought I have spoke with u haul about getting my reservation guarantee placed on the account they refused to use it towards what i was charged. I never fill out surveys or even really care when service isn't perfect but I am writing this as a favor to your company. Please audit this location. This "paint store?" is not qualified to manage your product. After two rough experiences with Uhaul in a row I think I will be booking my trucking elsewhere going forward. Good luck.

The representative of U-HAUL was very angry, she was screaming to me and another customer. The representative didn't explain anything regarding the truck and didn't help to get out of the parking. She simply runaways to the shop during her hysterics. Thanks to another customer that he helped to me with the truck understanding and to get out from the parking. Such customer service I will not recommend to anyone.

It's better U-Haul fill that tank before renting the vehicle to a new customer, Gas tank was half full and I end up putting too much gas which overall added to my expense for this rental, it is not easy to exactly know how much gas you use

The employee whovrentedvto me was fabulous. But, atvthecreturn I witnessed the owner yelling at another customer who was having trouble starting his can. She was swearing "for fuck sakes" at the foreign person trying to work the vehicle.

I didn't have the energy to argue with the clerk, but I'd returned the gas tank EXACTLY the way I picked it up...but because the gauge on your form is linear and the gauge in the truck is circular, he claimed that I was off by some decimal and dinged me $10. You already nickel-and-dime your customers on every single little thing. Could you at least do this accurately?!
Emma H. on
Have the tank start half full rather than 1/4 full. The first thing I had to do was put gas in. So then I had to put more gas at the end to top it up. If it was half full I would only have had to go once to the station.

Hi Guys, The U-haul service was a disaster from start to finish. The poor guy that checked us in at the hardware store was either stoned out of his brain or had some type of learning difficulties. To be honest I felt sorry for him because he was clearly out if his depth. While he sorted out the rental on the computer inside the office he even had to ask which month April was! After we were shown outside to the truck we got the quick overview, during which time another driver returned their vehicle and proceed to block our one in. The guy from the store gladly accepted their key and couldn't see how we'd have an issue getting out! It was clear as the blue sky! I had to ask for the keys to the returned vehicle, move that down the street while my friend pulled out in our rented truck and I then had to park it back in. Worried about how the hell we were going to get the truck back in for the majority of our journey back proved to be a right waste of time because, guess what.... There was another vehicle parked in the space! Honestly you couldn't make it up. As the hardware store was shut I had to contact customer support online as the phone number provided on the website wouldn't work. Following the painstaking conversation with a customer service rep I was instructed to ring a different number to be meet with the usual being put on hold. Bare in mind I was now late for a dinner reservation at this stage due to the parking issue. After being on the phone to one customer service rep I was instructed to park the vehicle as near to the front of the store as possible however there was no available space! I rang back and spoke with another rep who advised me that the only option was to take the truck home with me and return it tomorrow before eight. Not only was I now late, to add to it I would have further change my plans the morning after! To be honest the whole ordeal was a joke! Disgruntled regards, Ronan Murphy
