After a little hiccup where Uhaul decided to change my reservation to a smaller truck at my original location, I called and booked the same size truck I originally requested from this location instead. Pickup was smooth and efficient, took about 5-10 minutes and I was on my way.

after reserving trailer 1 week ahead of time, and driving all night to get to the chicago area found out that the location I thought I was going to get the trailer at did not have one for me. I had to drive about 50 miles to get the trailer from a different location .

The owner handled an issue that occurred very unprofessionally, cursing and talking about how his vacation was going to be impacted, while my son and 72 year old mother had to listen. I would suggest if you are going to run a business that you act more like a professional and save all the drama.

I am very thankful for all the help the Uhaul members provided me over the phone. When there was no auto transport found in the area they went above and beyond to find one for me. Very thankful.

They failed to advise me to disconnect the trailer power each night and cost me $160 for a new battery. Also, when I returned the trailer, that manager advised me that the Westmont location did not connect the hitch / chain correctly and that I was lucky to not lose the trailer while I was driving cross-country. Finally, to add insult to injury, I was charged a $22 fee at the return location for "returning it to the wrong location." When reserving the trailer, I was told that I could return it at any location. This was an, absolutely, horrible experience which cost me an extra $182 due to Uhaul's incompetence.

I requested a different pick up location than what was assigned to me. U-haul did not call or notify me that the pick up location changed. When I called the 800 on the pick-up date, I was on hold for so long I hung up and called back 3 times. When I finally did reach someone, they could not answer a simple question, transferred me and I ended up on hold again until I finally just gave up.

Guy met me at the door and took the key and said I was all set. At first I thought Wow, that was easy. Then later I started to worry if the guy even worked for UHaul. I did not use the app but got a confirmation the next day. The return says I brought it back at 730 am when had dropped it off near 3pm the day before. That worried me a bit.
