The gentleman that helped with picking up the vehicle was great and did everything they could to support us. They were filling in for the person who usually does it as they were out sick so they were a little bit outside of their element, but they were very understanding patient and as helpful as possible. However, leading up to this while trying to reserve the vehicle, our reservation was given away more than once after receiving an email or text message that uses the word guaranteed and then told that we were at fault because we didn’t see some sort of small print that we still were unable to find that said it basically actually wasn’t guaranteed. Because of this we had to take days off of work to do this on an alternate date in order to get a rental that was available at a different day rather than a date that we reserved it. They complained about U-Haul as a company and told us that we should call another number and give them hell. I did call that other number which I think was an office in Halifax and they were very helpful. It was confusing and time-consuming at times, but they did what they could to give us a discounted rate for the rental itself and a discounted rate per kilometre as well as a $50 credit. So all in all it was a stressful situation because we’re trying to move and all we wanted was to rent a vehicle reliably and the vehicles that we were trying to rent. They didn’t have the vehicles that we tried to rent, but showed available on the site. The reservations for the vehicles we did make, didn’t seem to matter. It wasn’t until I started working with the office in Halifax, that things started to feel like we were actually gonna have a vehicle to move with, but there was a lot of uneasiness leading up to that that felt very unnecessary.

They were closed when I dropped of the rental. The exterior of the business was not very appealing.

ELDON PI was charged a $18 fuel surcharge and i did return it with more fuel than it had once i received it. I am not impressed
SHAWN JWas charged a $300 cleaning fee for leaving a bit of dirt in the box. I was pressed for time and didn't manage to sweep it out. This happened last year and after I had swept it out then, they still charged me a cleaning fee, which was reasonable at $25. After renting a few Uhaul's a year from this location, I will no longer. Hope the $300 was worth losing an ongoing long term and returning customer. I even filled up over a quarter tank of fuel than what was needed. I will never provide business to this garage of any kind again.
