U-Haul Extends 30 Days of Free Self-Storage to Jacksonville Area Wildfire Victims
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (May 10, 2017) — U-Haul Company of Jacksonville is offering 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box container usage to residents in and around Jacksonville who have been or will be impacted by the outbreak of wildfires.
Firefighters have been battling the 134,000-acre West Mims fire near the Florida-Georgia line, and the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue department has been on the scene of several wildfires this week.
“There is smoke in the air and people have been advised to stay indoors,” U-Haul Company of Jacksonville president Shalon Lillard said. “Some residents have been displaced, so U-Haul wants to step up and make sure these families have a safe place to keep their belongings.”
