We returned the unit to the site in Elora and the mobile drop off failed to work. I sent photos of the trailer parked at the Elora Uhaul to the Manager in Erin ( which is where the original contract was from). Despite this action we were charged for the after hours drop off. We were delayed due to Uhaul. We weren't able to use the mobile drop off due to Uhaul yet we are charged for a â€œconvenience feeâ€ despite stating in the contract that we could drop off after hours. Your service for this rental was poor. No apologies were made to us for the inconvenience of the flat tire yet you charge me $31.64 despite me trying to follow your rules that failed. Uhaul online booking and the website in general are terrible. If it wasn't for the agents help I would have given up and booked a trailer with another company. The Elora location I've been using is not the closest location to my home but they have provided amazing service. Trying to deal with other locations was frustrating and I was disappointed with the level of customer service offered and the knowledge of other agents was lacking (Palmerston and Listowel locations were unable to answer basic towing questions and palmerston told me I needed a new ball and hitch purchased from them to rent a 4x8 trailer) Better training should be provided or the agents that don't know the basics should not be able to continue renting equipment. I'm not sure I'll use U-Haul ever again but if I do it will be Elora that I deal withCHRISTOPHERL J.

The service and vehicle was what I expected from U-haul. It was below average at best. It is not the fault of the franchise but I feel the lack of support and guidance U-haul provides to their franchisees. WE dropped the U-haul truck off at 7455 Speers Rd in Elora( as per instructions when we called )on March 7/20 at approximately 3:56 pm. We had picked it up in Barrie the morning of March 7/20.When we received our email copy to confirm that the truck had been dropped off in Elora, we noticed that we had been charged $40.00 for an extra day's rental.So we called 888 227 2282 to question why we were charged an extra day's rental.. Once again the person we dealt with was courteous and said the extra charge would be refunded within 3-5 days. Ant it was. We were pleased with the vehicle but surprised at the errors and confusion with respect to the reservation and drop off.harold A.
Truck was not ready for pick up. No one was at location to rent it out. Had to call customer service to track down Uhaul representative. This person was also unable to log in to the Uhaul computer systems as â€œthe website was downâ€ to finish our rental. This person took down all my info on paper but did not get it logged into the Uhaul system before I returned the vehicle. We were transferred to this location from the Fergus location - where we had first reserved our truck 1.5 months prior. We also had no indication that we were going to be unable to pick up our equipment at the location we reserved at. We were told at reservation we would receive a communication the week prior regarding the availability and location of our equipment.Alexander M.

The call centre person who made my reservation told me that this location was open at 7am, so I made my reservation for 8am. I arrived at 810am and noticed on the door the hours were open at 9am. I noticed that I got an email with a change in the reservation to 930am once I got there, so maybe that's how they were telling me that my original booking was not possible? I would've organized my time better if I had known the correct hours of the location.Mia T.

Made reservation and waited 45 min to get to counter. Staff tell me they made mistake I have to pickup in different city 25 min drive away. I am offered $50 for the inconvenience. No option to drop off iat location near my home. I have to drop same wrong location 25 min away. Cost me my gas in my truck plus 2 movers 2 extra hours and my time 2 hours dealing with Uhaul mistake.Paul C.

Required appliance dolly was not in the truck which prevented on line pick-up. Location did not open until 9:00 AM despite website showing an 8:00 AM opening. Had to wait 2 plus hours until someone showed up at the location to get the appliance dolly which I needed.Online pick-up also needed to verify my identification which was not know beforehand - my contact was away from the phone and therefore had to terminate the on-line pick-up. UHaul should make this clear to renters before they select this option. Overall, very frustrating and waisted +2 hours of my time!.Brian F.

The truck was very sluggish to drive and was the only one offered on a Tuesday.I do belive I was overcharged for fuel.I put ten dollars in the tank before I returned the truck and was still charged $16.95 for gas.I used the truck for less than 18 miles.That works out to about nine mpg not including the 10 ten dollars I put back in.I did mention this but was told "We go by what the computer says(yes I understand the charge per kilometre or miles)."So no I will never use this location again and with the need for at least three rentals in the upcoming month I will seek out other rental companies in my area. tomorrow will be 1 week asking repeatedly for an itemized invoice so i can see the charges (this was said up front before I took the vehicle and they have my email on the contract!). i will continue to ask but would i recommend this place? I had three truck rentals in the past three weeks and the excellent Elora staff were most helpful in making sure all was well each time. .David K.
Drop off location was friendly and tried to be helpful but uhaul is so convoluted and twisted that they were not able to help my sort out the rediculous charge of $250 for driving a truck 50km for a move. Apparently it was due to equipment availability which means that if they don't have what you want and you need to go out of your way to get it/drop it off in a different location prepare to pay dearly for it... If I had driven my truck an extra 70km to drop of off at$ 0.69/km=$48.3 plus gas which in a 26' truck isn't cheap I might have been able to save a few bucks... But when I dropped it off closer to where I would be done with it and they already rented it out and asked me to bring it in earlier I was charged extra(base amount for that truck is $40 per day).. What a complete and total rip off... I will never be using using I haul again for anything.Matthew V.

For over a year this location has failed to address the issue of using my email for the wrong clients.... they even charged my credit card for other customers rentals... and I'm still getting emails like this oneWAYNE K.
Arranging pick up time was challenging. Hours on the website didn't match their expectations of when I had to pick up the truck. I had to follow up to confirm rather than being called back as I was told. The van smelled really bad. Suggestion: put the gas tank SIZE on the outside of the van. Will help customer better estimate how much gas to put in. Filling half a tank is hard when you don't know what a full tank holds.Curt H.
