The agent was not able to complete confirmation of the drop off because "the U-Haul site was down". We asked that they call us to confirm the drop off was all clear and they never did so. We called back twice and they still didn't have the information. I will not be using U-Haul again.

The unit that I rented was not at the location that I had requested. I was not notified of this change at all. This caused a major hassle for me and my family. Had I been notified of this change I would have been able to adjust my plans.

No one available on arrival to unhitch dolly. After a long days drive that’s not what you want happening. They did get someone to do job but we had to wait. They did a good job when arrived.

Actual pickup location was great. UHaul however not so much. Tried to get a pickup and trailer, was called a little while after and said there wasn't a pickup within range, said I would get the next size up for same price. Well the location didn't have any information regarding that. The locations higher up was not very helpful and was trying to over charge me. The workers at the location fixed it though. Will never use UHaul again.

There was a headlight out on the truck, which meant that I could not drive the vehicle on the day I picked it up; I had to spend the night in Mt. Airey. The manager told me I could return the truck anywhere in Charlotte; that turned out not to be the case.

Sent to Dobson for pick up based on confirmation...no trailer available!!! Drove to West Pine street (Mr. Airy)location to obtain trailer. This took me on about a 50 mile out of the way drive just to obtain a trailer....VERY SORRY COMMUNICATION AND CONFIRMATION PROCESS!!! I expect to hear from your office with a resolution/compensation for my trouble. Check contract for phone # to reach me!!

he didnot even check to make sure my lights where working and after i had drove about 100 miles and stopped to check trailer i had been dragging the chains because he did not adjust them for me. I have pulled many trailers and luckily i was aware of this safety features.

The communication regarding the reservation and pick up arrangements was not great. I called a Mt. Airy, NC number and got connected to a central UHAUL number. I made the reservation and stated I couldn't pick the truck up until 3:00 on the day I needed it. The person at the reservation center I was going to get a call that day or the next day to tell me where to pick up the truck. I didn't get that call until 6:30 PM on the night before pickup. By that time, we had already called a few UHAUL places and found where the reservation was to be handled. They closed at 1:00 and said they were not told by the central reservation number that it was a 3:00 pickup. That center told me they would call me back and did not do so at all (or at least our cell phones don't reflect that they did). And so after after four calls, the pick up location determined that the truck would be ready for me, the key would be in a drop box and that they would charge my credit card. In the end it worked out, but it was a royal hassle with subpar communication with me going all the way up to only three hours before the pickup with it being finally settled and ready to go. Person at the pick up location was not entirely nice on the first few calls until things were all settled and I had to wait while she handled her children who were at the workplace that morning.

People were friendly. Only thing is this is a farmers feed & supply & is very dusty & dirty due to the nature of the business. Could have separate area for rentals.

The two people that run he store were both smoking. So avoid store unless you are a smoker. Your clothes will reek when you come back out.

When we came to rent the equipment....the personnel could not get into your system. Uhaul said she/ we would have to wait for the local rep.! This could have been one hour or several hours from the time we rented the equipment. Unexceptable. We were finally able to call ourselves and get the ball rolling. However, this took at least one hour longer than we anticipated! Unexceptable and would probably use another company besides haul in the future!

Pads were not at location as requested, dolly was there but not on truck. Side mirror on driver side was badly cracked. Had to plead with clerk to help in obtaining pads. She was not accommodating at first, then finally called another location across town where we drove to get pads. This clerk was very helpful and apologetic for the trouble and loss of time we experienced-- he provided pads free of charge. We recommend him highly.

The truck was clean, but it had so much play/slop in the steering as to be almost dangerous to drive on the interstate, and a handful on the side roads. I highly recommend pulling this vehicle from service until the steering can be tightened up. Very difficult to maintain lane position when you've got 10-15 degrees of play in the steering wheel.

After the over weight man hooked the tow to my uhaul he thought I was going to put the car on the tow and hook it up. He was do hot and didn't want to go outside. So, since I told him I had no clue how to attach it, he sent his buddy out to help, which didn't even work there. Then his buddy said that I didn't have a bar for the tow and he said it would be ok. Well, NOT TRUE! I had to stop four times to fix the ratchet for the tire belt. It continued to move and loosen. I was so scared that the car was going to fall off. By the time I got to my destination, my front wheels on my car were turned and the belts were barely on. I got out of the uhaul and broke into tears. Worse experience I've ever had moving. I have moved many times in my life with a uhaul and this experience was horrifying. Luckily, my drop off was pain free.

Seriously work on the scheduling. I made a reservation about two weeks before my move, and changed that reservation a day or two later, to one day earlier than the original reservation. From that point forward, up until the day of pick up, everything went downhill very fast. Pickup location changed twice, and the day of pickup I went to the location I was supposed to go to , well out of my way, and the truck I was supposed to get (20') wasn't even there. I went to another location and got a 15' truck. It took three trips to my new home over two days and I thought I got the truck returned on time, only to find out I was getting charged for two days. I more than likely will never use uhaul again! I'd like a full refund for what I paid.

Make sure the people who connect trailers know how. The fellow who hooked the trailer up did not cross the breakaway chains. He also used the "S" hook to attach breakaway chains to breakaway bar. He even said someone must have run over them since the "S" hooks would not latch around the bar. I crossed the chains & put the chains around the bar connecting the "S" hook into the chain securing it in place with the rubber "latch."

Although I had reserved a certain size vehicle and checked prior to pick up about the availability, that vehicle was not there when we went to pick it up. We were offered a much smaller vehicle at the same price as the larger truck. I do not feel this is a problem with the local location but with the larger scheduling system. If you want people to use your services you need to provide what you have promised in a timely manner.
