Trailer was dirty (loose dirt and garbage in the box) and in need of service. Extremely difficult to raise the manual tongue jack. Young girl was late to get to work and not very helpful. Upon returning the trailer I checked in with her and it seemed like I was bothering her. She had no interest in the fact that the trailer had been returned.

Closer to home would’ve been better
CORY SIf I could give no stars I would. We had to go to 3 locations. 2nd site verified a dolly available that they never even had. Third location had 2 wheel dolly and that's not what we ordered. We were expecting a call back or an email and still nothing. We wasted time, gas, money and west and tear on a truck to finally get the transportation just under the wire. There is suppose to be a case on file but nothing so far to confirm this is bring looked into.

BILL Lthis is in addition to the comment I already made about this location I forgot to mention that my husband was retired military and they never offered a discount for that but apparently they offer discount/help with military moves I realize these are individual dealers but what they do reflects on a whole with UHAUL everywhere and to not receive a phone call or some form of inquiry from the area manager as I was told I would get is also not acceptable not good business
margaret gOrdered moving blankets. Received none. Truck came with 1/4 tank of gas, which is inconvenient to have to gas it up before starting my move. Then having to guess how much money it would be refill the gas to 1/4 tank is also ridiculous. Tank should be full at pick up so that I can also know to return the truck with a full tank of gas. Inconvenient. The pick up office is not open yet. Clearly renovations are being done inside the location, having to text and meet the someone in the parking lot of the location is sketchy at best. The gentleman at this location waa polite and was pleasant to work with, but the overall experience was not great. I would only recommend this location because of its proximity to the freeway.
Jason CAfter this experience I will never recommend U-Haul to anyone even if I don’t like them the from the start of the rental it was a nightmare and only got worse the location closed early after I spoke to the owner and then he told me to go ahead and take the truck only to call me back and say my card was not working I had to drive back home to Markham (1hr from where I was) to get my credit card and called it into U-Haul I told the call taker the truck was dirty and smelled like fish and was told to call in when I was done and that they would deal with it then after loading the truck I was driving and the lights flickered ever now and then but I thought it was just old when we unloaded the truck it did not start it was turned off for no more then 20-30 minutes I called my CAA to boost it and nothing happened he said the battery terminals were loose I called U-Haul and they sent Norman Towing at 2 am the showed up with his family in a minivan and got it started and left the keys under the seat because I had to get back to Barrie to get my kids the babysitter could not wait so long after paying the cab driver $96 I got my kids and went back to Wasaga beach And left them with my friend and tried to start the truck it was dead again so I got the cables from my car and I boosted it by now it was 5 am I took the truck back to the location I got it from and dropped it off I got another taxi and got to work in Etobicoke from where I called U-Haul and they said they were going to look into the matter and I would be contacted but instead they charged me full price no one contacted me and I have the pictures of the truck and the condition it was in
Navjot DI originally chose another location and for some reason my reservation got switched to this one. No one was there at my scheduled pick up time. I selected that I wanted an in person pick up experience. When I finally got through to the number posted outside the door the man I spoke to was incredibly rude and unapologetic for any inconvenience he caused. He directed me to a lockbox with the keys in it over the phone (not the in-person pick up I was expecting). The truck was not clean as there was broken glass in the bed. Additionally I ordered furniture pads and a dolly that were not available for me and again no apologies at all. We started our moving day late thanks to this sorry excuse for a business.

Francisco MU-Haul website indicated that the office would be open for our pickup, but nobody was there. Not too big of a deal as the self-serve pick-up process works well. Phone and text communication was fine with this location. Trailer had sand, dirt, wood chips, old tape, and a plastic wrapper on the floor. I had to sweep it out since I was moving furniture and moving boxes that are going into a home. Everyone has a different idea of what "clean enough" means.
HENRYM SSo I'm Neutral, would I recommend to a friend sure but with what I'm about to write in mind. Owner seemed nice enough no issue there, did everything over the phone as he wasn't at the location, was pretty easy. Reason for the neutral stars. Km were off by 100 and I was charged for it. Luckily I took photos with a time stamp and I was eventually able to get a refund through customer service. TAKE BEFORE AND AFTER PHOTOS OF THE KMS AND FUEL GAUGE, I can stress this enough, cover yourself, being charged $89 with tax for something not used is a lot. Maybe wasn't the owners fault maybe so not sure, I just know with photos it was resolved eventually (3 days money back in my account). Drive safe and TAKE PHOTOS

Every single review on Google would indicate that this mistake is intentional and a regular thing st this location. I will never book eithbuhauk again because of this and will rent from Penske in the future.
Dylan WI booked this location because it was suppose to be open on Saturday. I got there and another person was walking around on the phone saying he had a van reserved and now he can't reach anyone because the place was closed. I wasted 30+ mins trying to deal with this crap. Also to top it off I also reserved a dolly to help my grandmother move BUT there was no dolly in the truck so I had to call around to family/friends at 9am on a Saturday to try and find a dolly because people were waiting for me. Plus the truck was dirty. Never again will I rent from there...

MILES DI recommend that U-Haul suspend this franchisee. The location is unmanned, you must call a number for service, the man takes your information over the telephone. The equipment was dirty. The mileage was incorrect, resulting in being overcharged. When contacted about being overcharged, the representative became aggressive, doesn’t want to correct the issue. When I followed up, I was told I was wasting his time, he hung up on me. When I called back, he blocked my phone number. Refused to give updated invoice to explain charges, continued to send incorrect invoice. Very suspect and sketchy business activity. Have not received a resolution, spoke with Melanie Walker at UHaul customer service who was super helpful, the definition of a good customer service person. To my knowledge she has escalated to the area manager for resolution. I am awaiting that call. The suspicious business activity at this location gives U-Haul a bad name.

Gordon BNo clue because it was closed at 3pm on a Sunday and instead of having staff there to receive a vehicle I had to do it myself with your 'convenient' app. Also absolutely HILARIOUS that it says I would be charged an additional fee if I dropped the vehicle at a different location than where I said I would drop it, meanwhile I booked this truck to pick up in Halifax, and the day before I went to pick it up you tell me I need to pick it up an hour an a half away. I should've drove this truck into the fucking ocean. I bought the insurance after all. Fuck you.

Jack TPerson is not supportive at all. Charged me alot on credit on name of Fuel surcharge. After complaining for a week he issued a partial refund. Complained again and came on phone after several tries and denied to refund further. This location is very bad on customers. Not referring anyone this location again.

Gord SI chose the 10 AM pick up at counter option, but when I arrived there was no one at this location. I had to phone the number on the door and go thru an electronic pick up with my phone. It was pouring rain and I got drenched just picking up the key from the lockbox in the middle of the parking lot. The van was in great condition and worked well for what we needed. I'm not sure why noone was at this location, but if this is a regular occurrence I suggest that you move the lock boxes to a covered location so your customers don't have to fumble with a lock in inclement weather.

Zelia TI received confirmation of my 26’ truck the day before the reservation date. It was only at pickup and trying to do online p/u and having problems doing so did I realize that it was not available. I called in for help -there was a lot of confusion and ended up with a new reservation being made with problems at my end being able to access the reservation without my driver being present. This added to the horrible mix up at your end on where / which lockbox to get the key from. We were attempting to open the lock box for an hour and 40 minutes waiting for help from uhaul, mostly because my calls kept being cut off, requiring me to call back, wait on line and repeating my problems. Also we were outside in the snow, blowing wind and cold trying to open the lockbox. I had no choice but to accept the smaller 20’ truck which I knew would not be big enough. I was right and I had to pay someone to bring the rest of my property. The additional mileage and $50 was not close to being sufficient to cover costs that I would not have incurred if I had got the 26’ truck you confirmed the day before. I am looking for restitution of my additional costs. I will be considering my options while I await your response. I AM ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED WITH MY EXPERIENCE THIS TIME. The lack of concern and care from your employees at my predicament is SHOCKING AND DISAPPOINTING given you had created it. I have used you in the past and given very positive referrals to family and friends…this I am reconsidering and will be sharing this on social media Looking forward to your actions to rectify this and restore my TRUST in uhaul. Thank you
DAVID PI was given a broken trailer
Alex MOur pick up date was January 1st (New Years Day) and I was nervous that no one would be on-site resulting in not getting uor trailer that we needed. I called the pick up location multiple times ahead of the day and left messages for someone to confirm and there was no response. On the day of pick up there was no one there, I called a phone number and was instructed to take it and text a photo of the hook up. I checked in on the app. The next day Uhaul indicated my reservation was cancelled (even though I had the trailer), It was 2 days of phone calls to sort it out. Not an enjoyable experience.

matt gThis location is not staffed. No one to help. We were texted by the dealer that the dolly and blankets we reserved were not available even though we could see the items inside the store. The store was locked even though within “open” hours. Worst experience I have ever had with U-Haul. U-Haul should seriously consider revoking this location from its options. Mark MTwo back tires deflated after one trip. The person at the counter didn't do a walkthrough of the truck to see if there was any damages. The engine light appeared later during the day and the truck stopped twice while stopped. Overall, bad experience that could have been prevented if we were given a better truck from the start.
JASMINE BNobody in the building every time I’ve visited this location. I’ve shown up for trailers and nobody’s been here. Cancelled and gone to Essa Road location. Van rental went well due to the fact that it was self serve pickup. Voicemail is always full. Overall bad experience here except for my recent one because I checked myself in. Should turn this location into a fully self serve instead of relying on the business. Van however was dirty when I picked it up, and was parked on an angle not in the lines. All vans were parked horrendously. There’s also an unplated U-Haul van here with smashed out windows and beat up. This location obviously doesn’t care about their customer satisfaction. Use the U-Haul on Essa Road (Whimsical Emporium) or Cash Express on Dunlop for a better experience.

michel mStephanie from customer service at u-haul was helpful and great. However, the Able moving location tried to scam me out of 100$. Lucky I found the charge on my card and disputed it with the bank. The 100$ claimed to be from U-haul but when I called to confirm they told me that charge was not through them. Use another Uhaul dealer if you can.

On the phone he answered through a speakerphone with a lot of echo, it was very difficult to understand what he said. He stopped answering questions while the call was still running without warning why or saying when he would resume the discussion (or he might have said it but it was impossible to understand amid the echoes. In person, he was not amicable. His safety check of the equipment was summary (did not check turn-signals and brake light until asked).

Adam ZTruck body floor had a huge hole in it that was covered by a piece of wood... My 20 year old son fell through the hole and needed to be bandaged up.. I have notified the U-HAUL location and the truck has been sent for repairs.. When I told the staff at UHAUL about this they asked me to call head office and did not help any further... I will not be using your services again. And I have been loyal customer for 30 years.
