Office was filthy. All chairs were covered in animal fur. This was a throwback to U-Haul of my youth. Really gross. Truck was dirty and smelled like cigarette smoke. Had recent experiences with Norwalk CT location and Orange location which was amazing. The Danbury location was not a good experience.ERIC R.

There was no communication from the location that they would be closed on the day we came to pick up the truck. We were told by the staff at another location that we were to receive a "self-check in" text that was never sent. Whoever was supposed to do this failed completely. The location where the truck was parked did NOTHING to ensure we were set to get the equipment in their absence. Fortunately after a very lengthy explanation of the situation, Paul, the area manager, drove back to Action and helped us get the link to do the self-check-in. I will NEVER use U-Haul again or and will actively tell anyone who is moving not to do so.PAMELA W.
The rental agent was fired and another person from another company sharing space there helped out. Took forever!!! No moving supplies to purchase. No AC in the bldg and it had to be 90' in there. Tried to overcharge me $100 on my Visa which he said would be returned later??? I refused and it was deleted?? Drop off spot in Egg Harbor Township was about 20 miles away and resulted in over mileage. Not my fault!!! Back door would not open at pickup and had to get a mechanic next door to open it (sticky tar on bottom of door was cause and door had to be pried open ). No AC in older truck. Overall, not a good experience!!!DONALD G.

U-haul software took forever to load and resulted in having to call you to check the truck in. Didn't remind me or ask about gas, so I was charged an unexpected $81.Kathleen D.
The mobile check in was inefficient. We had to repeat steps several times - ie:photo of ID was requested at least 3 times. And, location of pickup was changed the night before. Not appreciated.Jeffrey S.
Horrible experience....I arrived at 10am for scheduled pre-paid and online registered rental. Location couldn't find my rental contract, or my info....had to redo everything, it was a mess (literally the offices are dirty and not well kept up). I didn't drive out of the lot until 10:50am. Information was incorrect (e.g. said I had full tank of gas but luckily I checked and took lots of picture as only 1/4 tank of fuel, lots of unmarked dents and scratches). I will never recommend this location....it's a black eye on u-haul.Cheryl T.

Good overall location. What is annoying is, for he last 4 rentals, I requested the Danbury U Haul downtown Danbury, close to my house. In every instance I had to go somewhere else, in Feb i had to drive 20 miles to Waterbury. I was told this location had no 10 ft trucks. Well, I happen to be driven by it on my way to get this truck and noticed at least 6 10 ft trucks in the lot. Seriously?Perry S.

Your rental reservation system is atrocious. Online reservations ask that you call in to make the reservation. Calling in results in long hold times and being passed over to a regional office who can't really tell you where you can pick up a given truck that the main line tells you is available. If you weren't far and above the cheapest truck rental option I would never use you.Ben H.

I'd start your improvements with having the correct size truck... I was applauded to find out that I was being given a 10 ft truck when I ordered a 15ft. Not to mention that the free month of storage I had to use was one of the worst faculties I've ever seen. It's a joke the way this company is ran and I really wish you guys were not the only option! Every time I get a uhaul truck or trailer I have over an hour drive from home to pick it up. As a cherry on top - there was a huge hole in the metal frame to the top of the box truck so it was an added bonus to have to tape it shut so all my belongings didn't get completely soaked... Get it together Uhaul!!!Karyn O.
I had continuous trouble with the left signal light. At the pick up location, they repaired the frayed 4 wire cable from the trailer to my vehicle. It seemed to have fixed the problem, but a day later had the same problem and I went to another location - they replaced the leader cable. Had issues trough my whole journey from NY to TN.Gary T.

The truck was clean, poorly maintain& broke on the Rd.it put the kids in danger& delayed our move to fl. I had a terrible experience trying to get the right hitch. There was also a hole in the roof and our boxes got wet. You have very rude and incompetent people working for you at the car carrier location.claudio P.

The reasons I would not recommend this location it was very inconvient of a location to make a pickup for my general area. Trumbull to Danbury is not convient at all.MICHAEL D.
The office was upstairs and just not professional looking. The vehicles were kept in a location across a bury street, not easy to cross to get there. The inside of the vehicle had not been cleaned out before I received it. the console where the cups go was sticky and filled with something that obviously spilled. I cleaned the dash and this console when I got home. also I was rushed by the agent, partly because it was raining possibly but I saw visible damage to the vehicle which he seemed to have no idea about and had to research before he saw a small sticker indicating it had been reported. He never offered to walk around to see the rest of the vehicle.Jeffrey S.

Check-in was very easy and manager was very friendly and helpful.No complaints but a suggestion: it would be good to know any special traffic instructions or restrictions, and to have EZpass available as on option on these rentals. I wasn't sure whether we had to consider ourselves a truck or not on parkways and highways and it would have helped to know in advance.LISA M.

Uhaul was aweful. Orange ct location gave us wrong price, wrong info on pickup and had to drive 2 hrs away to get. Never got a confirmation call. Everything went all wrong. Then with no other choice last minute we had to get it from far. They said u will get a $75 refund when dropped off and that wasnt true either. At drop off they explained why that wasnt the case. I am so upset with my experience and will NEVER work with u haul again!!!!!rich J.

I'm very upset that I got ripped off with my rate of $411.00 for having the truck for 6 hours and 130 miles. Others have rented that same size truck for the same or more miles for less than 1/2 that amount of money. You should offer the same rate to all customers.Chet V.
1st. my pickup location was changed without notification even though had an email and text for the original location. I reserved the truck, appliance dolly, furniture dolly and 2 dozen moving pads weeks in advance of pickup. I had to go to 3 other U-haul locations to get the appliance dolly and pads. No location had everything. They also forgot to give me the furniture dolly. Why should a customer have to go pick up items from other locations? This set me back for my entire move.GERARD G.

There are many aspects needed to improve: first of all, the associate, Gregg, doesn't have patience to explain the rules to the customers. then, he always tried all the tricks to charge the customers as much as possible. Third, he is not right in the attitude. Last but not least, the customer service from the Uhaul corp. doesn't help at all. And the attitude is very bad too. The experience with Uhaul used to be very good, but this time is very disappointing. I would suggest you to improve the customer experience asap.RAY Z.
