The U-Haul representative at the Gunnison location was unprofessional and acted in a discourteous manner. He complained about U-Haul and suggested he was unwilling to take our drop-off because "I don't make any money on drop-offs." He relented and continued to complain about U-Haul and "stupid people from Texas are always dropping off trailers and never take them back". When I asked if I needed to sign anything he stated "You have an email don't you?" I responded "yes". "Then there you go" he responded, walking off. The two gentlemen that were helping me were wonderful and went over and beyond anything I could expect. They were extremely consistent of my situation just a couple of days after I had totaled my car and trailer. He explained everything in the truck that I needed to know and made sure I had understood everything for the long trip home from Colorado to Georgia. Only thing is I could have used a smaller truck I just wasn't sure what size so we just took a guess also what they had available.Deborah C.

Uhaul did not provide me with the correct size that I ordered, and my truck was at a location 3 hours from my requested location, requiring a 6 hour round trip for just a pickup. I will NEVER use Uhaul again and will make sure all friends and family never do either. There are plenty of other moving truck options that I will look towards before going with Uhaul again.GILLES H.

I had to drive from Fort Collins to Gunnison Colorado over 200 mi to pick up my trailer. When my original reservation was canceled the person on the phone called me to tell me my reservation was canceled and scolded me and told me that they did not know if someone else would be willing to pick up the phone and speak with me. The location I picked up did an amazing job but the online and over the phone service people are horrible!!Eric J.

The owner of the shop where I rented the local ( not 1 way) trailer told me U-Haul corporate called him said they needed the trailer for a more profitable one-way trip despite me having a reservation. Apparently the owner of the shop had to stick up for me. It is quite disturbing that U-Haul would have this policy of overriding a established reservation - this added undue stress to an already stressful situation. In the future, I will consider other options as opposed to U-Haul.Peter E.

Very frustrated with U-Haul. I reserved a 6x12 trailer as I was moving from Colorado to Texas. I drove 13 hours from Texas to Colorado to pick up my belongings. When I arrived they told me there was not a trailer available for me and I would have to go 200 miles one way to Gunnison to pick up the trailer I had requested. So with one day out of my time to spend with my family and my grandchildren I had to go to Gunnison to get the trailer. It also cost me a full day and approximately $100 round trip to do this. They offered me a smaller trailer but it would not have held all my items and I would have had to make a second trip from Texas to pick up the remainder. I believe when you have a confirmation number you should be able to get the trailer of your choice within a radius of maybe 30 miles from where you requested it not 200. After all was said and done they gave an extra day to return the trailer and a $15 break on the rental fee. again that extra day was something that was not necessary but they did take a day from me spending with my family. I have just spoken with Stacy who is a U-Haul employee and she said she would only give me a refund of $50. When I explained that it cost me $100 and an extra day away from my family she said that was too bad that was all she would authorize. Very short and cut and dried on the phone call. I've had two stitches put on by U-Haul, I have rented two different trailers in the past, and have had no complaints until now. If you are renting a trailer make sure that it is available for you before you make a 13 hour trip. Again this was totally unacceptable to me!Dianne M.

The staff member named Michael who helped me with my truck rental is exceptional!!! I could not say more about what a amazing employee U-Haul has at this location. Probably the rudest drop off experience I've ever experienced. The person accepting the trailer stated: 'I don't suppose you want to drop that piece of shit here" He also stated that he did not have to accept the trailer and that he could send me to Salida for the drop off --(over 1 hour and a mountain pass away) This is NOT how to run a business.Paul R.
They were outright rude and said many times that they "hate dealing with U-Haul and that they didn't have to accept the trailer". They said that they hated having to deal with "2nd homeowner Texans", which I am not, and that I should park the trailer in the trash. Returned the trailer and the first thing the gentleman said was that he didn't want this piece of junk, that his lot is full of trailers from Texas and that he hates that state. Never had a kind word and bitched the entire time about my dropping the trailer at his location. Took plenty of opportunity to criticize people from my state. Said that he question whether he even wanted to continue working for U-Haul because he is not paid to accept trailers and that he had a mind to make me take it elsewhere. Will never use this location again and it causes me to question my loyalty to U-Haul overall.Derek F.

Vehicle was very dirty, I spent almost an hour and a half cleaning the windshield and windows both inside and out. Mirrors were very dirty as well. There was damage to the vehicle that wasn't marked with a U-Haul sticker. No walk around inspection with agent, just told to "sign here".Patrick M.
