My overall experience with uhaul was a minus 100!! Absolutely the worst web site , when u finally get to talk to someone in BV a service center, they do not speak English that is understandable , no help at all, one hung up on me .. whoever is the president of uhaul and everyone your BOD should try to anonymously book a unit , then try to make a change, call ur service center line and get them to helpâ€¦. If there was a suitable alternative â€” I would never use uhaul again. AND your dealers all seem to HATE. The uhaul management. Very very very bad experience!!! The dealer in Gunnison CO was very helpful but voiced his disgust with y'all.William R.

Refund customers if they refilled the gas tank above what it started at. It's absolutely ridiculous that I had to fill up to 3/4 of a tank and when I brought it back with a full tank I could t be reimbursed for that extra 1/4 of a tank.Jennifer N.

It would be great if the U-Haul system connected better with the store system. I checked in via the app, uploaded DL photos, etc. but they didn't show up at the location (which the manager said is a consistent issue).Chris M.

Owner attendant was vocally upset that he was having to take in another trailer from a 2nd homeowner from Texas. He said only 10% of his income comes from trailers, it is 50% of his efforts within his business and that trailers total 100% of his problems/hassles. It was an extremely uncomfortable situation that I took personally as being the customer doing a simple return (for which we paid a premium doing a one way rental) that in my younger daysâ€¦ would have almost certainly resulted in much more of a confrontation on my part. This guys should absolutely be investigated and look over his other past reviews. I received my receipt almost immediately by email so whomever it was that scanned it in is whom I referring too. Not sure if he was the owner or notâ€¦ but his comments led me to believe he is.Ben S.

I can't believe you are now charging mileage on local rentals. I had a car break down and only need the vehicle for about 3 hrs. Had to pay 76 cents a mile for a 55 mile trip plus refilling the tank. I agree with the refilling, but mileage on top. Bad customer service.John N.

It's nice that they allow you to review the locations, it should be U-Haul overall that I am allowed to review. U-Haul corporate is the problem. They keep all of their one way trailers in Gunnison and Montrose. You can schedule a pick-up anywhere in Denver but they will be sending you to Gunnison or Montrose to pick up so be prepared. Luckily I read some reviews and knew this might happen ahead of time. Nothing like finding out three hours before pickup that you have to drive an addition 7 1/2 hours for the trailer. I still need to contact U-Haul corporate to see if they will even help with cost. If I would have known better, I would have reserved a trailer in Cheyenne as it is about $250 cheaper to pick up from there and several hours closer. Of course U-Haul doesn't tell you about the closest trailers, only the ones in state. Call around before hand. Andy at this location is amazing. No worries about picking up from him. Poor guy has to deal with everyone driving to his location for hours to pick up a trailer that U-Haul could probably keep in Denver or transport, where they are needed.Vanessa G.

I reserved a trailer two weeks in advance in phoenix Arizona two days before I was to pick it up they called and said I would have to go either California or New Mexico. That would not work for me luckily I picked one up at Berfields stage stopLeon S.
Andy was rude and dismissive. I did him a favor by returning to his location so he could continue to use the truck for income. He over-charged by a day on everything. He is unreasonable and impossible to talk to. If there were any other place to get the truck, it would have been done. He was holding the truck hostage, if I didn't agree he wouldn't let me rent it. He's completely obstinate and impossible to work with. Trying to get mitigation from the main company or even to speak with someone at U-Haul or U-Haul.com is nearly impossible. Are they hoping that you will just give up, go away and let them keep the extra money while the customer is stuck with crappy service?Manuel M.
Andy was awesome. This was a long trip for me and one that included a climb up a big mountain. The U-Haul trucks have a special feature that assists with this and Andy explained it to me in detail. My only regret is that I won't have his U-Haul business nearby when I need another rental. Don't hesitate to use Andy's U-Haul location.Sandra R.

The entire place was a mess, with rotting food Tupperware on the floor and dirt covering everything. Then the truck was a mess too. I didn't feel comfortable setting anything down because of the mess. I understand mud and snow, but when the cup holder is filled with mysterious black goo, that's where I draw the line. Besides that, we received a truck that was low on fuel when we got it. We mentioned the price and miles being incorrect for what we used it for, and the man said it seemed odd but told us we were shit out of luck. He didn't offer a discount despite over charging us.Noah G.

I was not informed until I arrived to drop off that this location had explicitly told Uhaul, 'No more trailers' and almost made me drive 90 min more to drop off, was again an issue that U-Haul could, and should, have notified me about when I made the reservation, and had lots of time to inform me of afterwards.Phil C.

Not the location, but the reservation system is TERRIBLE. i would not have had a trailer if the local agent didn't pull a string to get me one. You guys were going to have me drive hours away just because you did NOT send the reservation to the agent in time. Even though I made the reservation a week in advance. So never use the reservation system. Call the agent directly, or you may not have a rental.Lee S.

The shop it's self was like a hoarder runs it. The man running the shop the day we picked up ( Randy) was extremely slow and not very friendly. It took me over an hour to pick up the trailer because of his being slow. I can handle the slow facto but the fact that the shop was so full of junk that you can barley even find a path to walk is honestly a problem.Kajsa L.

I reserved a truck and trailer 2 months in advance and received a call asking if I could pick up the truck a few days early because if someone else came in and wanted to rent it, they would have to give it to them. I would have been extremely angry if this had happened. It worked out well for me to be able the load the truck early, instead of doing the day before leaving. So thank you but if I feel that would have been very unfair if I hadn't been able to pick it up early and then rented to someone else.Mitchell D.
