This is worst ever UHaul trailer rental experience. The gas station owner asked $25 to hook up the trailer and charged an extra whole day for returning 15 minutes late. Will never come back again to this gas station on Central Ave for any uhual rental.DAOYUAN W.

This is not a Uhaul site. It is a gas station that rarely attends to unsuspecting Uhaul customers. "My experience" was showing up at 8:00 to receive a trailer I had rented online (for a few errands around town... donations to Habitat for Humanity, returning large items from a recent project and recycling an old fridge and elliptical). At 8:00 the man running the Uhaul register points to a printed sign saying Uhaul is only open from 9:00-5:00 and tells me to come back at 9:00. He won't look at my reservation stating an 8:00 AM pick-up just points to the silly paper sign. Unfortunately, I have no alternatives as this is the only site in town with the trailer plus ramp that I need so I come back at 9am. He manages to complete the rental process in a reasonable fashion and we hook the trailer to my SUV. I do my errands and come back at 2:30 pm and the lady covering the gas station register says oh yeah he left at 1pm and to just put my name and number on a post-it in case there are any issues because he won't be back. I then over hear her telling somebody on the phone that they can rent a truck the next day at 7am (another sucker). I have rented many trucks, trailers, etc from UHaul over the years (including 1600 mile moves) but this was ridiculous. The guy made me waste an hour of my time with an extra trip to and from the gas station because he was there at 8:00 but unwilling to do his job! UHAUL should be ashamed for associating themselves with this place. I will make sure to share my experience on GOOGLE as well as this place is the worst.JAMES M.

Employee claimed the computer was down and tried to send me to another location. Turns out he just didn't know how to do it, even though I'd done everything online already and just needed the key. When I returned the vehicle a second worker didn't know how to do a simple return- again, I'd already done it all online for them but he had to call for help to take a key. The pickup was quick and easy. The return, not so much. The woman at the return site was extremely rude, sighing and rolling her eyes the entire time as if she was being bothered taking care of me. Pretty much dissing uhaul the entire time. Not my problem. I Followed instructions.lori M.

The lady who rented to us was very unprofessional and rude. She complained about having to work on her day off and told me at first that I couldn't pay online and pick up from her. She didn't hook up the trailer/lights. The contract she printed was blank because she said her printer ran out of ink. Told us we would have to go pick out the dolly ourself because she couldnt leave the store (food mart) unattended. The left running light and left turn signal and left brake light did not work. Very disappointed in the level of customer service and equipment. We use Uhaul alot for work and I think we will find a different company going forward.Tammy C.
Very rude person and complained the whole time I was there about having to take care of me. I reserved all equipment a week ahead of time,but at time to pick up there where no blankets and the lady had to leave the store 3 times to look for the appliance dolly. Horrible. Never checked our u haul in until they were contacted by uhaul on 4/3 when it was returned on 3/29. A day early. Charged 2 extra days- when uhaul was returned 3/29 a day early. Charged us extra mileage, and when we turned it in the mileage was under amount allowed. Also charged us for gas when the gauge was above the amount required. $101.00 in extra charges. This was the worst uhaul return experience we have ever had. Not a place I would rent from or be associated with.fran S.
This is a dirty gas station that has some nasty people coming in and out with one employee working. It took over an hour to finally get the employee to call u haul to help with a technical issue when closing the reservation process and starting over more than likely would have fixed it. She was extremely rude as well, she rolled her eyes and made a sound of disgust when I told her what I needed. I will not be using this location again, I'll go to your competition before I use these clowns. The passenger light was out on the tow dolly as well.Josh P.

I originally had a reservation at Temerance Hill. They did not have a truck when I got there. They were rude and dismissive. After much discussion about if I actually had a rezervation, themsn who took the information came in and confirmed he had entered my reservation. They then made a reservation for me at Central. I wanted a 26 ft truck and ended up with za twenty ft. Truck. Not happy with my experience with Temperan e HillPaula S.

I rented a uhaul for 10 hours and brought it back in 7. At the time of rental I paid the total amount due $20.74. 10 days later an additional $71.51 was debited from my account!! Apparently someone changed my contract from 10 hours to 72 hours without my consent!! They are thieves!!! I will never use them or recommend them to anyone!!!!!Jerri O.

I folded all of the blankets and cleaned out the cabin. $50 to sweep maybe two leave out of the trailer???!!! Horrible. I will dispute this charge and blow you up on social media. I reserved a rental for 6 hours. When I arrived to pick it up at the pick up time, it was not there. After waiting around and the truck not being found, I left and called Uhaul. She said it showed in the system as reserved for me and should be there. I asked if there was a $50 reservation guarantee. She told me she would have to verify the truck was not there, and she called the store and recieved no answer. She told me she would call me back within the hour. When she called me back she explained that one of the store employees had taken the truck to lunch without telling anyone and it was back now if I still needed it. I did, so I went to pick it up. I asked if I could keep it past the time I scheduled because I had already lost time dealing with them, he said no he couldn't change it in the system While inspecting the truck I noticed right away it had damage on the driver door to the front fender. I went back in the store to let him know, and he said no it doesn't I just checked it. I had him come out and check it because I did not want to be charged for it. He got on the phone with someone and was saying, the truck is wrecked, did you wreck the truck? I was already hot from the heat and frustrated, I needed him to get me on the road because by now I had lost the 2 hours of the 6 I reserved. I was not very happy with my service!Sandy C.

The whole self pick up is real inconvenient. Asking for a friends lease agreement is very shady and something a cheap used car company might do. And pictures of the truck on drop off. That never has to be done the other way. I would have thought uhaul was a professional company. Lacking in that. The app does not provide a way to leave a review. This location gave me a receipt that said I was charged $50.45 but he actually charged me $130! More than double the amount. When I tried to call to get the issue corrected, the guy hung up on me and refused to answer after that. Now I'm having to file fraud on the account to get my money back. Thank goodness I have the receipt showing how sketchy these people are! If I could give 0 stars I would!Jessica G.

Drop off location (Food Mart Central Ave. Hot Springs, Arkansas) priorities are their gas station patrons. U-Haul drop off is behind shady looking food Mart. Had to wait for 15 min, unhooked trailer and had to stow by MYSELF. Feel bad for senior citizens that had to wait and unload by themselves.Brian K.

The black poles in the parking lot are in a terrible location to try backing a truck out! The trucks should be backed into the parking spots or the poles should be removed!!! Otherwise it was a really good experience truck was clean and well maintained!Jerry T.

Rent from anybody but U-Haul, and if you absolutely MUST rent a U-Haul do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE else. It started with arriving at the wrong pickup location because U-Haul didn't bother calling or sending an email to notify me of the change to my online reservation, although they had no issues sending spam with upsell offers.. Several hours later we finally got to pick up the truck, but my paperwork had an incorrect odometer reading. At least the customer service rep (CSR) wrote the correct number and signed my paperwork. The next day when turning the truck in there were computer issues and more calls by the CSR to his help line to try and fix the odometer issue. Finally the CSR said it couldn't be resolved soon and told me to leave. Not only did he refuse to provide any kind of receipt to show I had returned the truck, but he actually THREATENED TO CALL THE POLICE when my daughter used her cell phone to take a picture of the paperwork and CSR to in some way document the return. I left when he made it very clear that I was on private property and was no longer welcome to be there. In the end I was billed correctly for the 1 day rental and mileage. However, this was BY FAR the WORST experience I have ever had when dealing with ANY company in my nearly 62 years of life. I would recommend all other options be exhausted before doing business with a company as poorly run as U-Haul.Terry C.

I had reserved a UHual for the 16th of February 8:30 AM to be picked up at the Temperance Hill location in Hot Springs. (Contract# 28746299) My ride dropped me off, leaving me there to pickup the UHaul. I go in to speak with the representative only to be told that my pick up location had changed. I had to call my ride back to be taken to the next location (Central Ave). After arriving there, I was told they do not open until 10:00. With that said, I had a crew waiting at the house to help me move. By the time I did get a Uhaul, half my crew had already left. Thankfully the employees at the UHaul were helpful and sympathetic to my situation and helped as much as they could. I believe the one gentlemen even came in early. However.. this was a horrible experience and i'm not sure if I'll use Uhaul again.David T.
