I called a week in advance to make the reservation and also spoke to a Uhaul employee the day of pick up. 2 Uhaul employees/representatives told me $89 TOTAL for a two day rental. Customer service was good, however, nobody told me about the “$16 coverage fee” only spoke of a total rental fee of $89. Both employees had a few opportunities each when I asked “$89 for two days, right?” yet nobody had the decency to tell me about additional fees AFTER the total. I feel I got nickel and dimed because I received an email AFTER everything is done and returned. If someone would’ve told me, on the phone and/or in person, “total, plus insurance for a flat tire, etc. for 2 days” I’d be ok with it and understand. Insurance in a rental company is business as usual; as should letting customers know of any fees. Aside from hidden fees, the rental was in a convenient location, convenient weekend hours, and properly maintained equipment.

They wouldn't take cash and told me they needed a credit card due to high theft rate. They said it would just be a hold on the card until I returned the truck. When I returned the truck they still wouldn't take my cash and the charges stayed on the card. I was not happy!

The local Uhaul wasn’t aware of which trucks were ineligible for 24 hour rental. As a result, we were given a 7AM reservation for a 15’ truck that couldn’t be checked out before opening hours (10AM). We got to the lot and realized we didn’t have a lockbox code. We couldn’t log in to our online account (spoke to the 1-800 number and they said there were many reports of that same problem that day). The telephone representative then explained we would have to go back at 10. Though we were given the $50 reservation guarantee, this entire ordeal completely affected our move that day.

Only problem I had was with trying to return the equipment after hours online. Some of the internet steps/pages were not working for me. Otherwise it was a great experience. Thank you kindly for the decent rates and good service.

Website wasnt the easiest, kept wanting me to pick up hundreds of miles away a d return to my local shop. Ditched the on line approach and picked up the phone, local move of a couple of hours, checking out and back in was easy, shop was well stocked with u haul inventory. Recommend this place, staff was friendly too.

Be able to store vehicles with a full tank of gas for ballast. Per manager, there are problems with fuel theft...solve that and you could keep tanks full.

The cab of the rental van wreaked of wet dog and there were white dog hairs all over the passenger's seat. I am allergoc to dogs. The bed of the van was littered with ice melt and other small debris.

The windshield wiper came on. It sounded like transmission was going out and the outside looked like it had not had a wash since summer ended. But interior was emaculate and above all the were so friendly and nice. Also very helpful and understanding. The last two sentences beats out all the rest and that is why bI would recommend them to others. Courtesy is the most important aspect of a business.

All 10’ trucks should have a loading ramp. Or, it would be helpful to have ramps available for rental for use on the 10’ trucks.

ER Body & Paint was amazing at helping me where UHaul online failed. I reserved a truck on 12/21 online for a 12/27 move date. On 12/27 UHaul online never assigned my order to the pickup location. 3 calls to UHaul with no assistance other than to say my order was never assigned. No phone call 24 hours before. I would NOT recommend UHaul online. Call locations directly.

The truck ran great, but smelled like something died inside the cab. Staff member said that a previous renter had done a "dump run" and didn't seem concerned about the odor. It was the last vehicle available, so I didn't have any other option at the time, and we used the vehicle but with both windows down in order to breathe...fortunately, it had stopped raining at that time, and the temperature outside was in upper 40s...

I think the 99 cents per mile Is a ridiculous cost. This must be a new change because 2 years ago it was unlimited miles.

I rented a car trailer. Got a flat tire in the midle of the night. I call road service( which i pay extra for) they imform me that they hade nobody that can bring a new tire or tow the trailer and i hade to wait till the next day. So i was stock on the side of a hyway. After 3 hours a person stop to help. He sold me his spare from his boat trailer and that was the only way i made it home. Well i did the complain and was told to wait 3 days for them to re imberce me for the tire i hade to buy to get my self out of the freeway and get home in the middle of the night. Its been 5 days and i havent got a call back.

I didn’t have any problem with the Eagle River location however I made a rental for a larger U-Haul van which was not available when I actually went to go get it I get a smaller van so the box the smaller my moving container was smaller but the van itself is actually larger and cost me an extra $200 on the ferry to get from Homer to Kodiak had to eat that cost and I wasn’t able to move my entire house I only moved part of it so I’ll have to do it again that part was not very good

Eagle river body and paint was great and helped me fix a situation main uhaul branch caused. Went to pick up my 20’ at boniface location to be told that it wasn’t there and probably wouldn’t return. I had movers waiting because I had a reservation for truck. After Brian helped me with one that had returned to eagle river I got a call 2 hours later saying that I hadn’t received my truck, which was true of my original reservation. It’s kind of a big deal when people schedule to move a house of stuff and then there is no truck available even though you had a reservation. In the end they credited me which helped but don’t know what I would’ve done without the help of eagle river location

Make sure the customer knows about using the app when returning the equipment. Was told to just park it over there and put the key in the box. Called U Hual customer service and they made sure I was not charged for extra days

Computer program used to check out equipment needs work, too slow and difficult and brand new credit card reader was not functional. Shop and employees were fantastic, knowledgeable helpful and friendly. Equipment rented was in great shape and worked well.

Inventory for the area needs to be increased for the size of area it is servicing. Very friendly and helpful personnel at the store. Also made sure the equipment was working correctly before leaving. When I returned the trailer, Chris was very helpful.

We had an agreement that I can drop off the truck at the location in Anchorage with no additional cost yet I was charge 230.00 for not even a full day

Bald tires(got stuck multiple times in snow on flat surface). Limited selection of trucks No offer to provide blankets( in the past Uhaul has provided a few blankets at no cost).

The inside of the cab had dog hair in it from a previous renter. The hair ended up on our clothes and was difficult to get out.

Nothing we had a great experience from Henderson,NV to Eagle River,AK. Had to have some repair work done in Tok,Alaska. Ducky was his name and had us all fixed up by 11:30pm.

Make sure there is a receptionist or someone there when you walk through the door. Customers shouldn't have to go hunt someone down to help them.
