The place where I was supposed to be able to drop the truck would not accept because they already had too many trucks. So, assuming I understand anything about your processes, it is my responsibility to balance your inventories around the country. Your 800 # operators kept me on hold for over 1/2 hour before sending me to a location in the next town that did not exist. Think I am crazy? Try doing a Google search for 7770 Preserve Ln Naples FL and you will find another "happy" U-Haul customer who was sent to a location that does not exist...just like me. I had to call back and wait on the phone for over 1/2 hour again to get sent further away from my destination to a site that buried deep in an industrial park . There was a Lee County Sheriff's office a block away where I stopped and they had no clue where U-Haul was.....no signage and I only found them by mistake when I saw a truck parked behind the building. Tired from my drive......being on hold.....driving all over God's green acres to balance your inventory- Unbelievable! I will need to rent another truck in the next 2 weeks to complete my move. What do you think the chances I choose U-Haul are?Steven L.

Truck needed wiper blades. There was a banging in the front end when going at highway speeds. Mirrors were worn out and would not stay in position. Either a heat shield or baffle was rattling on the exhaust and was very loud. Drivers side window would get stuck when rolled down. All in all a bad experience. Truck ran all right. Had to get truck from location other than where we set up rental.Gerhard B.

I would NOT recommend U-Haul in Jeffersonville, IN to anyone!! I scheduled a hitch and wiring installation and after NUMEROUS trips there (and to the Louisville, KY location to pick up parts) the install was NEVER completed because the â€œhitch guyâ€ quit.LEANNE M.

Air conditioning did not work and seatbelts light stayed on at all times. Driving 4 hours with no air in Florida with 95 degs plus weather is not good customer service. When I rent a vehicle I expect it to be mechanically sound and check out. Truck could have been cleanee.John D.

The rental agent gave minimal information and was not very personable. She didn't offer any direction regarding filling the gas tank to the level it was checked out at. We're extremely frustrated that the pick up was changed from where we reserved the truck. Completely bait and switch - our size trucks are never available at the location we reserved. This added 1 hour to the start of a long day and it was never brought to our attention that it had changed so we showed up at the original spot. Unlikely to rent from U-Haul again for this reason.Dan M.

I paid $20 to rent 2 moving dollys and they were not in the moving truck. There was nobody at the Naples location to provide the missing dollys and the people on the phone were not able to provide a refund. When I arrived at the drop off location in Margate they were not able to provide a refund for the $20 either. I will not be using U-Haul services in the future and will advise others to use a different moving service due to this unresolved issue.Sofia O.

This was the worst rental truck experience I have ever had, and I am not exaggerating. First of all, the location is not exactly a very conspicuous one. It's not very clear if the front office is to the left or to the right. I chose the left hand side, which ended being the wrong side. I saw some people working in the warehouse and I asked them if they could help me with my pick up process. They told me they were closed and that they couldn't do anything to help me. They had no clue of what was going on. That specific area is a dead zone with my phone provider (I had no phone service) so the U-Haul online check-in feature wasn't able to determine my location without WiFi. There was no local number I could call to get the office's WiFi information to enable me to check-in. U-Haul customer service agents couldn't do anything to help me get the code to get the keys. I had to drive to the nearest gas station and use their WiFi to log in. The problem was that I had to be at the location in order to gain the box's access code. I had to call my wife and ask her to come help me check-in from her phone. Once my wife arrived (one hour and 30 minutes had passed since I arrived at the location). I was finally able to check-in from her phone but just happens to be that my reservation had expired. So I had to get a new reservation and pay for another reservation, even though I had already gone through this process. Once we finally got the code I got the keys and was able to enter the truck. Upon entering the truck, I noticed that the truck hadn't been cleaned. The cup holders had all kinds of food crumbs and other food left overs. It was a very unpleasant feeling and the smell was unbearable, I even had to drive with the window down. Upon returning the truck, I went through the same location service issue as I had previously. Good thing I got there at 3pm rather than my 6:15pm return deadline, because someone was in the office. I asked the person if I could get a receipt for my timely return but this person told me that I would get an email. I haven't checked for that email, but I'm not going to hold my breath for it. Any reasonable business owner would at least provide partial refund to make this right.Eero E.

Truck was dirty windshield had a layer of film on the inside made a stressful drive even worse. Outside when I went to the truck employees where smoking marijuana. Never using this location again.Patrick M.
The technician did not know how to disengage the trailer coupler from the hitch ball ! I had to show him. This should be a rudimentary task for anyone who is engaged with trailer rentals. Secondly, the associate who rendered service to me upon drop off, inspected the auto transport and declared that there was new damage to the trailer wheel coverings (fenders) that was not visible on photographs that U Haul had in their possession. I was asked at my pick up point to make marks on a diagram of the auto transport prior to my departure, indicatiing any damage. I marked the areas of the fenders in question. No one from the pick up location showed me photographs from U Haul nor mentioned photographs associated with the trailer . The photographs associated with the auto transport were taken in june 2019. No other photographs existed between june and november. The damage in question was noted on the diagram I marked prior to my departure and corresponded correctly with the photographs. I asked why the photographs were not declaired at my pick up location. I was told by drop off facility that not all UHaul agents utilize the photographs and or marker decals to distinguish dmamged areas . Obviously true, since the pickup agent did not disclose the areas of damage with the photographs already catalogued. I also noticed, that other UHaul eqpupment contained in the drop off facility lot did not have decals on damaged areas of the equipment (trucks and utility trailers). U Haul is holding me to a standard that they themselves cannot meet. At this time I am reluctant to obtain any services offered by U haul and will most likely seek service from one of the competitors. I am quite dissatisfried with the level of competence U Haul has displayed.Anthony M.

I went to uhaul on hwy 41 east and had to wait in line for 25 minutes only to be told that because I didn't have a reservation that I couldn't rent a pickup for an hour. There were 2 in the lot. I went to empire and was taken care of courteously and fast. I will only use them from now on. Terrific company!William K.
