The guy wasn't there at the reservation time. The van reeked of cigarette smoke. We had to drive around with the windows down and I still got a headache. Not a pleasant uhaul experience.

SUNBIR B.I booked this truck and a car hauler trailer to be picked up in Mission BC on Jan 27th am. I was called 2 days ahead and told I can pick it up in Langley. One hour drive from Mission. This dealer told me I would be given extra time since I had to pick it up a day early. He did not do this. He had a trailer sitting in his yard which he refused to rent me, claiming that this trailer with Uhaul markings all over it belonged to him and he would not let it go on a one way rental. So I had to drive to Chilliwack BC to pick up the trailer. In all it took me 6 extra hours to pick up the rental vehicles. The truck had well worn summer tread tires on it (I have a picture) which are NOT safe for Canadian winter driving. We came close to several accidents due to poor traction on slippery roads. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH UHAUL. They are inept and unwilling to listen to or correct problems caused by their own network.
Randy G.The quote from Uhaul is misleading and dishonest. If you are wondering how they can offer the $19.95 deals, this is how. I was quoted around $53 for the 4-hour booking and ended up paying $112. Why? Because I received the Van at under a 1/4 tank gas and returned it without filling up at 1/8 tank. So for using the truck for 16 km total, I was billed for 11 L of gas at over $2 per litre and then an additional fueling fee of $30. Ridiculous gouging. After waiting in line and completing the paperwork to receive my truck at 9:30 am, I was questioned for returning it at 1:30 pm. Excuse me? That's the agreed upon 4 hours. Not my problem if you delay pick up. I guess your details are selective. Never again. Buyer beware.

I was charged extra for gas when I left it exactly where it was when I took it, I was also charged for not checking it in and I absolutely did so, the exact same way I checked it out because NO ONE WAS THERE. Very irritating, but thankful the dispute was acknowledged and I was refunded thank god to good customer service
Chelsie F.The truck was functional. It worked. The job got done so that part is great. It handled well, brakes were good on hills. Lots of room. The truck cab was full of mold. All over top to bottom. I had to clean it twice over our rental period as it kept growing back. You could see it everywhere. There was also a foul smell of mold almost like marijuana. Less in the back storage. But still present. That's not healthy. There was also garbage in the cab including a lighter jammed in the door handle that's still there fyi The pick up day was sunny. Our first day moving with the truck was during the big snow fall in December. Found out the hard way there was no windshield washer fluid. That's not safe. Neither is the massive cracks in the windshield There seems to be a disconnect from the uhaul brand and whoever owns that truck because it appears nobody cares about that truck. It just looked like it needed some tlc. Again, operationally it worked. But from a health and safety and maintenance perspective hard fail. Feel like this truck is doing the uhaul brand a disservice. Thanks for the free blanket rentals though
Kevin B.I was referred to the 205 street location from the 56th Ave. It was terrible! The truck was handed over with less than the noted fuel. I did the after hours return over the phone. And now they are charging me for fuel, late return fee, extra kilometers and their manual return done by them. This is absurd. NEVER GOING TO 205 LOCATION AGAIN! I was originally given a $130 quote for 50miles and this was not compensated at the time of the return. Very disappointed 👎

Looked to me like the truck was used off the record and he was covering it up. Inside of the box was filthy had to sweep and pick up garbage before we could load our possessions in it.

Mysha G.I was over changed on the kilometer rate. I was charged for $20 after hours return. I returned in time 1:00 pm on Friday and waited in office for more than 30 minutes for help. The person arrived and told me that the manager is not their and took the keys. When I picked up the documentation say the truck was quarter full but it was actually empty. I have the prove. The manager told me that he will give me a fuel rebate I must just bring it back with a quarter full tank as per documents. It was never reflected on my final bill. I paid around $80 more than I was supposed to. I also put in must more full than used to compensate for the documentation error. That is another $20. If I am not refunded ASAP I will never use Uhaul in future. And I will make sure all my friends and family knows about this. I am very dissapointed because I also had a bad experience with another branch.

The vehicle was a mess. the blankets I booked were not available, so they gave me a portion of what i needed from another company, but they were all dirty and dirtied some of my belongings with a black sticky substance and wood chips. The vehicle was not where it was supposed to be. The person at this location was late, which set back my schedule. The previous vehicle user smoked it it so it reeked of cigarettes. The vehicle wouldn't shift properly, which caused me to get stuck on the road several times. The list goes on. Unless someone contacts me to try and correct this horrible experience I will never use U-haul again.

Ray W.My overall experience with Uhaul was really stressful to secure a truck. I talked to about 8 different representatives to get this set up. And over two days. One person didn't know much about the sizes of the trucks, to guide me when I described the size of the storage unit. Finally someone in another country was able to help me, others kept on referring me on. I ended up being encouraged to get two trucks after I described my storage unit. In the end, I only needed one truck but the representative at this location would not even consider giving me any reimbursement at all. I am still owed money for the deposit I put down and will follow up to ensure I get that back. This experience for this move was a big thumbs down, overall Uhaul, to be honest. All other times was total thumbs up but not this time. I will only rent from an office and go right there, otherwise may not go so well like this time.

I then had to correct the booking a further two times due to the administrative incompetence of the individuals I had interacted with. Then drove miles out of my way to get an alternative unit. When I got there the representative had forgotten his keys and made myself and many others wait for at least 30min. And on day 2 of my rental I received a phone call asking me where my truck was when I had in fact booked it for two days. I also got charged a fuel surcharge despite returning it with more gas than I received it with. No I will not use this company again. Customer service is clearly a foreign concept to you. At no point did I ever get an apology nor a genuine attempt to resolve the issues. Shameful behavior on your company's part.

The location is set to open at 8:30, but again, nobody actually arrives. I had a reservation at 9:00 and received no indication about how to pick up the u-haul, I had to call to find everything out, which delayed my start time significantly. After returning the u-haul at 4:00 pm (two hours ahead of schedule), my receipt stated that I returned it at almost 11:00pm, and I was overcharged by nearly $50. Avoid this location.

Had to take multiple trips because of this causing my day to be hours longer. I purchased 2 mattress bags that i never received because they were supposed to be gotten at pick up and when i called the owner during pick up he told me i had to go to another location to pick them up which was out of my way. The truck barely ran and it struggled to hit 50kms speed. I booked for 24/7 online pick up and drop off and the owner tried to get me to only use it till 6pm. My roommate unfortunately had also booked the same location and is having a horrible experience already this morning as well with this location/owner. They also told me there was someone else there trying to pick up a truck that has been switched to a smaller size without notice. DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION YOU WILL REGRET IT

The person working was completely unhelpful.

John V.I rented a 6x12 enclosed trailer, unfortunatly your trailers do not accept a normal ball size so i had to drive to another location and buy a 2" ball for $19 bucks and then try to remove my ball which has not been taken off for 15 years !!!! was that a pile of fun or what!!! I got it done but then discovered there is no leg or jack to rest the trailer reach if you have to unhook with any weight in trailer, It all worked out, but the stress levels were peaking at times!!

Then when I received the invoice it had a cleaning charge, which I wasn't informed of. All in all not great service at the drop off end.

I wasn't sure if I was calling somebody's private line. The person on the other end didn't help me at all. Passed me to your 1- 800 number where I got excellent service.

There was a line up so I didnt get my truck until 9pm. I was supposed to have moving blankets and a dolly. The guy said he had no blankets but said there was a dolly. I took the truck and left to get my move done. I got to my move location and realized there was no dolly in the truck and the box was covered in dirt. I finished my move and took the truck back and got a bill later on with a cleaning charge for $30, even though the truck was given to me dirty. Really unhappy with the service overall. I requested a refund for the cleaning charge as I actually gave it back in a better condition than when i received it but I haven't heard back from anyone. poor service.

We canceled and booked with uhaul again to pick up truck required from parkland grocery. When we arrived there was no truck. We had to call and get another truck which your 1800 number redirected to a local dispatch. We then had to go pick up the truck from jogger logistics which had told us they had no 20 ft available. Result was we were now 2 hours late. The truck smelled foul in the cab. It handled really poorly and seemed in rough mechanical order.

I've had troubles reaching the location to ask for a receipt which there could be a discrepancy on. my return time was at 3, we asked for an extension which we could not do as a family was picking it up at 4. we were about 30 minutes late and i got several phone calls and texts from about 2:55 to 3:30 which seemed excessive. i was charged an additional $47.24, and i would like to know if this is because we were a bit late or what... unfortunately I have not received the receipt and I've been requesting it from the location for a week now.

Ran into some rain during our trip thru the mountains and the windshield wipers were found to be poor.
