They are nice
HNIANG SInspect and clean the equipment before renting. The trailer was a mess of dirt and debris. It took me 20 minutes to clean the equipment before it was usable.
SCOTT WThe truck i had was much older. The brakes were very squishy and the front end had a lot of play in it.
Matthew HNot the store’s fault but as a company you need to make sure when the customer reserves items that they are in stock prior to completing the reservation.

WILLIAM WKind of strange no actual paperwork, no signature required but otherwise quick and efficient. Huge improvement over last u haul experience..... We have a truck, we don't oh wait we do. Get there and then they don't, chased over to ankeny to get a truck. Get there only to find out additional charges. Needless to say 2 stores I will not use again! Urbandale Douglas location and Ankeny!!!

SUSAN PThe window seal came up on the top of the windshield making loud whipping sounds in the cab. We did report the issue to the store. Other than that, the experience was great. I had to keep the truck an additional day and they were helpful with that.

EOLO NThe online UHaul system is a nightmare. For something that should be so easy, this system is far from it. I was very disappointed and frustrated. I would rather do in person than use this system again.

Jodi RThe personnel on site were easy to work with. The vehicle was claimed to have a full tank upon initial contract and it was at 5/8. Vehicle cab was not clean and bed had trash and debris in it. Vehicle functioned as it should. Turn in was not intuitive, but could have been operator error.
Eric SI first got a message that equipment hadn't been assigned when I went to pick up my truck, so that was stressful and confusing, but the staff at Kempkers True Value and Rental helped me figure out that the person before me had returned the equipment late, so it hadn't been checked back in yet. They were very kind and helpful, and got me sorted out and on the road quickly. I would definitely rent from this location again if I moved locally in the future.

Reiko UI cannot return the uhaul to different uhaul location that was not told to me until I called and asked to double check. They clarified my vehicle with me then the uhaul they chose was way too big for my vehicle so I had to pay someone to come pull the trailer. Overall bad experience.

Scott WReturning the truck via the app was terrible. It took an hour. It stopped working when trying to submit a phot of the dashboard numbers, but said it was completed, but i never got a completed confirmation. I tried multiple times so I called the help number and they said they knew it didn't work and to just use a browser website instead of the app. Just tell us that in the app instead of having to call and wait for a call back. Why tell people to return the truck via the app when the company knows the app doesn't work?

Rodney CGreat attention both on the phone and at the counter with the young staff. Informative, encouraging and upbeat, polite and friendly.
marion lThe front end was sloppy and wandering and required constant steering correction. It wandered from center line to outside line of road and was difficult to drive. Had I needed to use this truck for a long move I would have either returned it and requested another unit or pulled over and contacted the company. On the return while bringing it back after completing the move the check engine light came on. All of this was relayed to the individual where it was returned.
Charles NThere was issue with no one having a door key so business opened later but after that all good and great customer service.
Alyson PCab smelled, was clean but smelled, was missing the appliance dolly I paid for, equipment was pretty banged up. Overall not a great experience especially compared to previous experiences.
Jaime MThe store’s computer is extremely slow and the need for the employees to use their personal phones to scan the QR code, which is again slow, seems unprofessional. The people are kind though.
