It was 90 miles from my home and 75 miles from where I reserved a trailer. I was contacted the day before my rental and notified that I'd need to drive 90 miles if I wanted a trailer. 4 hour roundtrip in DC traffic. Very bad indeed. People at the location were friendly enough.Michael P.

This was a terrible pickup experience: 1. I reserved a trailer for a uhaul location in Manassas, VA. The day before my pickup, after I had already reserved a hotel nearby, my reservation was moved to Locust Grove, VA - over an hour away. 2. When I arrived at Locust Grove uhaul, I was informed they would not have the equipment, and my reservation was AGAIN moved to a new location - Mineral, VA (another hour further away). 3. When I arrived at Mineral, VA, the trailer was available. However, there were no blankets for my reservation. I had to go to Home Depot to buy moving blankets. This was an absolutely, inexcusably terrible experience and I will try to never use uhaul again.Jon H.

Cab was dirty and had cigarette ash in the cub holders/on the floor. App wouldnt let me submit pictures when I claimed it was dirty. This resulted in me having to clean out someone else's mess so i wouldn't get charged.Yosef S.

The truck was rented for on Wednesday and turned in on Friday at 1:00. I was not credited for the early return. I knew something was wrong when my email receipt just showed zeros but I thought my charge account would reflect it. Unfortunately, I was charged for the full amount. The only disappointing thing about this was I booked online then had to change the date do to closing delay. I went to the loction to change the date and it appeared they canceled the on line order and started a new one which cost me alot more in total.Richard T.

Apparently this location did not inspect the equipment (trailer) before we picked up that day. Later in the afternoon we found out the brake lights and signal lights were not working properly. We had to call for service and was able to get our trailer served four hours later.Karen A.

Mobile registration still requires going inside and signing contract. Clerk had issues finding reservation. Moving blankets we requested and paid for were not provided. Need a refund on those.Melissa M.
My uhaul location was changed THREE times after reserving. I had to drive across town wasting my gas and paying tolls to pick up a truck. My final receipt had over 900 extra miles. How is it possible to drive 900 miles in 8 hours and return back to the same area? Its not! Customer service was helpful however the experience itself was horrendous.Anthony P.

I was charged multiple times for one Uhaul rental. I asked for a one way rental and because the woman could not get her printer to work she made it an in town rental to cost me more money on top of double charging both my debit and credit card! I also never signed or received a copy of my contract at all. I have only received payment receipts through email.Michael J.
A basic "self-help" operation. Rental transaction interrupted several times so person could "check-out" grocery purchasing customers. No help or lift equipment (jack) to lift trailer to hitch - I'm almost 78 years old and was fortunate to be able to lift the large trailer tongue. Much prefer Johnny's Quick Stop just down the road.james E.

When searching for a truck we were looking for a 20ft truck. The search software could not find any but there was 3 26ft trucks available in the area which I found by asking the location when I drove by.Your software should not only go smaller but show larger units also.Gary C.

Person doing the rental did not know what they were doing had to go though it twice because she thought a box truck was a trailer had to call someone 2 times to finish the transaction on return she was doing the same thing with another customer and then did t know how to do a return. Based off this experience I will not rent from uhaul again.Michael T.

TRAIN THE EMPLOYEES! THEY HAD NO IDEA. They kept telling us we had a truck when we showed them we had a trailer.They had no idea even how to work the system. They were very rude.They pulled up the wrong account after having to call someone to figure out how to use the system.Then the computer crashed.And we were told we had to wait up to ten days to get a refund we were promised would be returned. We did everything exactly as we were told and feel this has been nothing but unfair to us We paid up front but can't even get our refund back after waiting hours just for them to call someone else and pull up our info over the phone cause they couldn't even do it there? What kind of uhaul place is this? Would not recommend to anyone. I would not make my worst enemy go through that. It would be too much torture. It's also sad there was like 30 other uhauls close why did I have to take it to the worst uhaul which was way away from where I needed to go?Elizabeth S.

I noticed that insurance was added to the order. I asked specifically that it be removed as I had NOT selected it when I did it online. He canceled that order, redid the order and added the insurance even after I specifically said NOT to. I requested it be removed and he said it would be at the end. IT WAS NOT. I am VERY UNHAPPY and will NOT be using Uhaul in the near future if I can help it. I was fine using the app on my own however the owner of this location chose to be involved even when he was told that the situation was handled and would not give the keys unless he did the transaction.Maryellen W.

My first email sent me to Carterfields Sporting Supplies in Charlottesville VA. Once there the mobile would not work and I had to call the 800 number. Was told my u-haul was in Mineral (1 hour away). Was not impressed with using U-haul online. I have uploads of emails if anyone wants to see where I was led around Robin's barn.Christine M.
Location is inside a grocery store/restaurant/casino? Very odd, one person working the desk that did everything under the sun (check cashing, lotto, uhaul, money orders). We had to drag in the Dolly's and furniture pads ourselves to the back of this store. Not welcoming or friendly.Samantha I.

I reserved a truck to be picked up in Charlottesville, Va. The truck that I reserved turned out to be in Mineral, Va, which was about an hour from my house. Instead of Uhaul letting me know that the truck I reserved was not in Charlottesville. It was notified Thursday night when I was notified that the truck was not in Charlottesville. It took me an extra hour to get the truck to my house. I tried to call Uhaul to change my pick-up location. I was told that this could not be done. I would like to compensated the additional mileage that I did not intend to pay for, which was about $50.Zachary B.

Have filed a formal complaint. Had to wait an hour longer to pick up than promised. Was not given a contract, was treated beyond rude and was charged a lot more than was quoted, I did go 13 miles over estimate that was not my issue, I have no problem paying for what I used but, was quoted one amount for "mileage" and was charged considerably more. Also, began receiving threatening texts, I pulled out at 9:00 am and was told I had to have it back by 12:30 pm "to avoid additional charges" though I rented it for the day.Donald G.

I would recommend the store provide customers a device to jack the trailer off the ball hitch. No one came to help. Luckily we brought our own hydraulic jack to lift it off the truck hitch.Karen S.
Pickup location was ok people friendly helpful however process took quite awhile.There were multiple damages that werent listen on pictures sent of uhaul that had to be stickered. The gas was not right so it was circled on paper from pickup at drop off i was scheduled to drop off at a location that was atleast 5 to 10 miles further then one i used to drop which would have been more miles put on vehicle. Then to top it all off i was charged 42 extra for gas and mileage that wasnt accurate. Definitely know better than to use uhaul. Thanksheather W.

I had to repair (splice) the electrical wiring connector, left turn signal on the trailer would not work, only the tail light was illuminated. Other than the above mentioned items the trailer was in good condition.JEFFREY V.
