Communication is terrible when a customer needs to drop off a vehicle and is given no code to the lock box. I called customer service and was told that they aren't sure what the code is and to just leave my keys in the vehicle. It's a hassle and a headache and I won't be using U-Haul anymore in the future as this was the second time in a row that I've had issues.Brittany H.

I have called every day since this Saturday 7/20/19 to have this issue resolved. No one has called back or handled this issue with any sort of professionalism or care. We had ordered a trick for pickup at 11am and the Uhaul representative did not show up until 11:45am with missing add ons, such as, moving dolly, furniture mover or any moving blankets. I am very disappointed on how this has handled. Waiting in an oil change lobby in 95F heat 45 mins past pickup really set back our already stressful move, which made us late to meet the movers who are paid hourly. Chris, your Uhaul representative, seems to not care at all to be representing Uhaul. He told us, "We an auto place first and a Uhaul second" as an excuse on why we were kept waiting. After constantly asking how he thought this was acceptable behavior. He called the field manager, Al, and claimed Al would take care of us if we called asked for him. This is unacceptable, this needs to be addressed and taken care of IMMEDIATELY!Malyssa G.

We ordered a truck for pick up in Tinley Park and they sent us to Orland Park. The 26' truck they gave us (only one available) was so old we were surprised it made it to WI (a 3 hr drive). It shook all the way on the expressway and the tires were bald. Needs to be retired before someone gets hurt !!!!!Thomas S.
Save the verified driver's license photo to the account, omitting the take photo of DL requirement in the field for verified users can save time. Also self check out saves no time if I still have to go inside the rental office in order to retrieve the key.Taharvey D.
Again, no one contacted me to tell me drop off was at alternate location. When I called toll-free number, they indicated alternative or original/this location were manned, and that either drop off was fine. No signage visible, at all, at this location, or ANY other uhaul vehicles present, making drop off ridiculous.William B.

The reservation system is beyond awful. The people are rude and uncaring. Pick up locations over 20 miles last minute are terrible. Uhaul really needs to figure this outChristopher A.

and on top of it they are charging me for uel when i took a picture of the fuel gauge and made sure it was exactly the same when i returned it i want a refund of the fuel charges, We will never rent from this location ever again. they never even came out to check us in.Leo N.

We were charged a 50.00 insurance FEE!!!! I made the reservation. I declined any insurance- I have my own. When my husband picked up the rental, they charged him. we were told to call the number and they'll refund it.. THEY NEVER Provided a REFUND!!!! I will never use this company again, and I will let other's know. Unsatisfied customererika M.

Truck was not cleared off of the snow. Parking lot is too small and busy, took over 20 minutes to leave. Had to call about being drastically overcharged mileage.Brad M.
The problem may not have been the drop off spot but the operators who didn't send correspondence to the drop off location. This per worker at drop off site didn't have any idea who dropped off the trailer til I called to check up on it and they also had no refund info.Jose H.
There was a mixup when we picked up the truck. There was 5/8 of a tank of gas in the truck when we picked it up, and the guy told us to make sure we filled up the tank with as much gas or more as was in the tank when we picked it up. We filled up the truck with 3/4 of a tank of gas, more than the 5/8 that was in the truck when we picked it up, and my receipt I just received indicated I was charged $28 for fuel. Why am I being charged this extra amount when I did just what the guy told me at the rental pickup?Beth J.
I was not issued a van which was ordered online. The employee was short tempered and uncaring about this transaction. The company further charged my credit card when the truck was never used and the transaction had been canceled immediately.George D.

This was not the location I originally requested to pick up the vehicle. When I was arrived at the address, there was not any indication that this was a U-Haul facility. I drove past it twice before I saw the truck parked in the back of the facility. This was a VERY disappointing experience!Thomas M.

The location was great, however, my overall experience with Uhaul was not. I submitted a request to pick up near Markham and return in Chicago. I was then scheduled for pick-up in Orland Park and did not find out until onsite that the truck had to be returned to the same location. This doubled my price as I was moving stuff into Chicago and did not need to return to Orland Park. Additionally, I spoke directly with the Orland Park location about my pick-up time and was informed by Uhaul that my reservation had been cancelled and the closest pick-up was in Chester Hill, which was not accurate when I arrived to the location. Overall, I would not recommend Uhaul based on the poor communication throughout my experience.ALEXIS C.

This place did not help us at all get the trailer hooked up. They acted like we were inconveniencing them and overall just had a bad attitude. They had no idea what they were doing. It took 1 hour to get out of their office because even though I did the express check in they had to go though all the same paperwork again. I am extremely frustrated too about the fact that I ordered a light kit from U-Haul.com and it was not compatible for my car. What a waste of time and money. Overall I not happy about this experience and will probably never rent from U-Haul ever again.Matthew D.

The location I had for pick up was closed for the week. I had made my reservation in person at that location a month before. After calling the area manager for U-Haul that morning I was sent to another location to pick up the van. The other location was not prepared for me and had no one at the facility who knew how to check out the van. They got on the phone and after a long period of waiting was able to get me the van. When I returned the van today they did not really know how to do anything again. They ended up charging me $75 more than what my contract was. My mileage was half of what I was allowed to have for the seven day rental. They did not know how to do anything with pricing and told me to call uhaul. I went back to the original location in Orland where I was supposed to have the rental and they were able to refund back to my contract price. The van was great but the process was a lot of extra time and not very pleasantphil K.
