We were given a vehicle with no coolant and had to go buy some ourselves the clerk at the location we picked the uhaul up from said there was nothing he could do about the situation. Very disappointed that I had to pay for the coolant myself and was given a risky vehicle that could've broken down on the interstate if we didn't catch the issue in timeBriana E.

Ensure the cargo area is cleaned. There was debris from previous customers. This was not my original requested pickup location which caused me additional time. Not sure how reservations got changed. You are not allowed to leave your car there when you rent a truck due to "lack of space". It seems reasonable to me to park your car where the truck was, therefore, it would not take up additional space . They have a tow site on the premises, so they just tow your car over a few feet in order to charge you. Please beware of this and know that you can't leave your car there.Wendy P.

Attendant was not courteous and did not really explain anything and pretty much did not answer any of the questions I had. Basically just gave me the keys and said to make sure the tank was filled on return. When I returned it the clerk that day was even less helpful!! The person behind the counter instructed Ted us to â€œdetach the trailer and just leave it.â€ No inspection or check out was done. I had to call the igual company, who said that was not how drop off was supposed to go. When I arrived to pick up our rental. I was told I could not park (leave) my vehicle on their property and promised me that it would be towed if I did. This was not mentioned at all when I reserved the truck. I came alone to pick up the vehicle and there was no parking within 1/4 mile. I had to go back to our moving site and get someone to give me a ride back to the rental station. Lost over an hour in the process. Also, the boxes and dolly I had requested for were not in the rental and the attendant said I could try another Uhaul location to find one. He also made me carry and load the dozen pads I requested from inside the store out to the truck. The box truck we rented had leaves and dirt inside and the cab had food crumbs on the seats and was generally filthy. So was the BP gas station convenience store, absolutely filthy and smelled like cigarettes. When I returned to drop off the truck a different attendant was about as terse as can be and told me to fill the vehicle up and drop the keys in the red Uhaul box outside. No thank you for choosing Uhaul or any apologies for the missing supplies or the parking inconvenience. I ultimately hold Uhaul responsible for this experience. Apparently Uhaul does not routinely check or inspect these sites and so consequently I will never consider Uhaul again.Robert H.
The vehicle I used would barely start. Major transmission issues. Headlights were dim and not aligned properly. Drop off took too long, could not upload a pic of the odometer (app error), had to call roadside assistance. fyi 10' truck only has 6' Hight insideJeff B.

Cashier's area was full of cigarette smoke; cashier seemed to be annoyed at my even being there. Signs everywhere indicate that if you park your personal vehicle on the premises while using the truck, it WILL be towed. Location is near the Virginia Beach Ocean front, so, if you're alone, you're screwed! Next time, I'll be sure to rent from somewhere outside of the tourist area!STEVENMARK A.

I spent 45.minutes waiting for the truck share to be released after submitting all necessary documents. Agent at location is lazy. This location which was a local BP gas station and NOT an official Uhaul depot, The attendant at the desk was less than helpful and very little to expedite my check out. I had chosen mobile check out but when I couldnt access my email with the information on my phone he had to convert it so regular check out. He was not happy and after he handed me the keys that was the end of his participaiton. Never pointed out the truck just handed the keys and said find the number. I have rented from Uhaul many times and though it was larger depots, I never had this kind of reception especially since we were going 2000 miles long distance with this vehicle and had some expected anxiety. Employee was rude. There was no notification that you couldn't park your car there when picking up the van until you arrived. There was more than enough space. This location is the worst Uhaul I've ever visited. You are not allowed to leave your personal vehicle at the pickup location, even for a couple hours while you rent out the Uhaul. They will tow you. Then when you return the vehicle, they will tell you to just leave your keys in the after hours box (even when it isnt after hours) and they will check you in the next morning. This is a scam because they will then charge you a next day check in convenience fee. Absolutely terrible operation they have going here. They should not be able to represent Uhaul.Devon M.

The cashier was extremely rude and unprofessional. I could not hear him from the other side of the plexiglass barrier. I asked him to repeat himself, which he did, but excessively slow. I parked my vehicle in the lot and when I returned, he had parked a trailer in front of my vehicle and told me my vehicle should have been towed and I â€œshould have seen the big sign in the front of the buildingâ€. WOW, each and every UHaul representative during our move was phenomenal! I was very impressed to say the least. From Yolanda in Portsmouth and her enduring patience with our schedule changes to the staff in Bremerton who were kind enough to set out our boxes before dropoff so we could access some necessities, the entire process was made SO seamless by UHaul. Your website is dreadfully slow. I tried various different browsers. I tried from a phone and a computer. Nothing made is faster. I understand the need to upsell, and digital marketing. You need to look at your hosting resources or the web design. The User Experience was so bad, I was tempted to go to Budget for my rental.Michael B.
Awful experience. First you can only do mobile check in/return. The entire U-haul site went down at the time I was picking up vehicle. Thus, could not check in my vehicle. Had to wait for them to get in touch with regional manager. 2) They would not allow me to park my vehicle on their premise. Although there was plenty of space. I had to park at nearby museum parking lot and work back to the location. The attendant was kind. But other than that will not rent from this location again.Portia R.
