Truck Cab was not cleaned. Truck that we reserved was not available so we were given the next size up at no additional cost. (That's a good thing but is disconcerting as we are renting from this location again in a few weeks and we need to make sure that the equipment we are reserving is available) Blankets were just tossed in the corner of the truck bed. Its a crappy little gas station/mechanic shop. Not use it at all. There were still crackers in their from the previous user on the floor of the cab...so I'm pretty sure it wasn't cleaned for covid either. By the looks of the place I would assumed it wasn't cleaned even if I was told it wasGIL R.

I had a trailer hitch receiver, but no light harness.That couldn't be provided at this site.Required a trip to a "hitch center" (where the folks were very helpful) and managed to (just barely) get off in time.Thomas M.
Please clean the vehicle before giving to anyone and I see Ash in the front cabin. Steering is not good and Brakes are not good. I would definitely not recommend this location to anyone. If this repeats, I will not recommend U-Haul to anyone.Kishore Reddy T.

Guy working there very rude and a real jerk. When I arrived first thing he said was, your lucky I did not cancel your UHaul order. I ordered it for noon and sent a reply I would try to get there by 9am, got there at 10am. Don't like having to listen to punk rock music while trying to get my UHaul order in also. I will never go back to that location again or buy gas from that BP station again.Kevin G.

The location was a BP has station No uhaul rep. Was at the building, just a drop box to put the key and rental paperworkMichael B.
I returned it six hours ahead of its due time. The website was saying it couldn't find my location (location services enabled, VPN disabled), and would not let me proceed to the next page to return the truck! I'm standing in the gas station parking lot with my phone and the site isn't working! Luckily, the station attendant was there. He told me just to take a pic of the mileage and drop the keys in the drop box. I was asking, "are you sure that's it?" and he assured me that was it. He said my receipt would be emailed. So I did that. Then I get an e-receipt the next day CHARGING ME FOR AN EXTRA DAY. So, I spent over an hour on the phone with Uhaul trying to get this resolved. I pressed the "problems with billing" option and waited for 15 min for someone to come on and tell me that "if there is a PROBLEM with your bill, I can't fix it. You have to tell customer service. I can just REVIEW your bill with you." How cute. So she forwarded me to customer service and I waited another 10 minutes just to get another rep. He was actually helpful, but when I gave him my phone number associated with my reservation, he couldn't find it anywhere, even after double checking the number with me. Huh? So once we finally got to the issue (being charged for an extra day), he called the service station and put me on a three-way call. The guy said for me to call him directly(gave me his number) so as not to deal directly with Uhaul. Seemed shady, and I didn't want to let go of the one helpful representative I finally got. I asked him for his extension and of course he doesn't have one. "Just call back and tell them your contract number. I am notating it on the account." Yay. I attempted to call the service station guy several times and finally got through (it's also a fax machine, which is a fun sound) and he issued the refund. He said he emailed it to me. I checked a few mins later. No email. No credit on my credit card. I called back, and asked him to resend the email, and I spelled it out for him again (the email address) because he typed it in incorrectly on the first email, and I finally got it then. Even though I had checked the truck in at 2:30pm (due 8:30pm), they didn't submit it until the next morning, so I was charged an extra day. NEVER EVER AGAIN. THIS WAS A STRESSFUL PAIN IN THE *** NIGHTMARE FROM START TO FINISH.Suzanne D.
I reserved a 20' truck and a auto transport trailer. Initially both were supposed to be at the same location. Was contacted by phone and was told they needed to be picked up in separate locations. One or the other should have been brought to a single location by UHAUL. Not make the customer run around. The truck pickup location was a small gas station in Virginia Beach. The clerk behind the counter of the gas station was the only "staff" available and did not so much do a walk around with me to check for damage prior to me taking the keys. The truck was parked very tightly between two other vehicles. So much so the passenger side door could not be opened and I had to pull the passenger side mirror in. If not for my experience driving larger trucks,, it would have been difficult,, and possibly dangerous for an amateur trying to back a truck of this size out. Perhaps make it a policy to back all vehicles in at this location? The drivers side door would not close tight, it was as if it had been pried open at some point. Traveling through a rain storm in South Carolina it leaked alot. Lastly, I began to notice ants coming out from behind the airbag. Then all along the dashboard. The cup holder area was dirty and sticky from a previously spilled drink.Anthony V.
The employee was very hateful. Would not let us hook up the trailer ourselves. He almost hit our vehicle with the trailer. Slammed stuff around. He even hooked up the trailer wrong. My husband had to fix it. We will never go back to this place.Eric M.

It was horrible. The truck was locked bc you all encouraged me to do touch less pickup. Man had to cut off lock after 1 hour,,, and , I was paying ,movers who I could not get to. This was a terrible experience.Juliann R.

I was shocked that the store didn't offer a Lysol wipe to wipe down the steering wheel or reassure that the truck was disinfected. In the state we are in right now, that was a bit unsettling. If I had known I would of been prepared with my own.Paola S.

Reserving the truck was not a problem it's when I returned the truck I was told that they reported the truck stolen. Apparently the sales associate gave me the wrong key to another truck. I just couldn't believe I was asked how did I get the keys. Really that blew my mind and of course the sales associate was not at work when I returned the truck.Nicole D.
