We had a unit for about 5 months. The access gate was disfunctional for the majority of that time. Access was limited to the offices business hours. The exit gate was kept open during that time and anyone could get in.Lawrence R. | Overall Experience

The experience picking up the truck was good, and the people at the location were extremely friendly. The only tricky thing was that they had to call another contact at the time of pickup. In the 9 months we had a storage unit, the card reader was down for a long time, leaving the gate opened for anyone to enter and when it was finally fixed a truck damaged the entrance gate, which still has not been repaired again requiring the exit gate to be left open. Don't understand why these breakages take so long to fix. Which means there is only access during business hours and not 24 hour accessibility. I was in awe how my this still $19.95 rental somehow became an $80 rental, for one day. The price kept jumping up and down. I felt very irritated when my drivers license was taken and UHAUL made a copy of my license. NO! You can take my number but you cannot make a photo copy. You had my credit card, why did you make a photo copy of my license? Then the guy sits there and types and types. I have no idea what's going on. I decline the insurance, which is called something weird, it's INSURANCE! Then there's all this confusion about what and when I'm going to return the vehicle. Well ya know, I don't move every year and I'm not sure if things are going to be done in a few hours or it make take longer. I was all over the place and had no idea who, how, what or why was going on. Did I get charged more or less if I kept it....? What were the parameters? It's like it was this big secret. I could not get any kind of straight answer about anything. Nothing! I'm not stupid but I could not follow anything they were saying. When I got home, I read the contract. But was still in the dark. I had rented the truck for a day, pick up at 9:30AM and was totally clueless about the return. Was it cheaper to turn it in before 9:30PM. Was I going to be billed if I did not put my key in the drop box by 9:30PM Yes or NO? No one would be clear, all they wanted was for me to commit to a time. To commit to mileage. They were not about to let me know what was going on. The lot was full of trucks, you couldn't fit another on that lot. So why the big issue of about me having to hurry, or feel the threat of being charged more. All in all this girl Kelly is the #1 reason I would never return or ever recommend Uhaul. No, in fact I think the Michigan Atty General should look into your practices. Uhaul is a totally misleading company and not worth doing business with. I would never recommend you. No to Uhaul. I told them at the site I'd be there in the morning and not to just charge my card. What did Kelly do? She called me at 9AM. She's boss hog, a total domineering manipulative person. By the way, every word that comes out of her mouth, is, this is what we're told to do.Nancy K.

I attempted to do the self check in and it took over 30 minutes to get into my rental because i had already started the check in process. It should be quick and easy and not cost me money for movers that are waiting on me. I was treated as if it were my fault when it is not disclosed that the process of self check in may require additional verification or my passport (which is not something that people typically carry on a regular basis). I should know of the requirements before standing in front of the truck for over 10 minutes.RACHEL S.

This is the second time we have rented a truck from this location and requested a dolly. Both times we did not receive the dolly. The first time we figured was a fluke and they apologized and we were credited. The second time we were just annoyed as it cost us time and resources to find one somewhere else. If you don't provide these items then they simply shouldn't be offered at this pick up location. Otherwise we have been happy with the convenience of being able to pick up the truck at a time that was convenient for us.Jonathan F.

I would still recommend this location because of how polite the ladies were, and how willing they were to help. Though I made my reservation starting online and finished through the application oh, there was a certain deal going on for a round trip that saved me almost $300. though when I checked the reservation it did not read that so I had to call the rental location they had no idea anything about it. So then I had to call U-Haul customer service they still didn't know anything about it they had to put me through to a supervisor who had to fix the problem. When I rechecked the reservation it still wasn't fixed instead they changed the 15-foot truck to a 26-foot truck and we were promised 421 miles to be approved and we were not given that we were given just over 300 so we ended up having to pay for miles should have been covered.Mahmoud I.

This is without question THE MOST CORRUPT, DISHONEST, UNETHUCAL group of people I have ever dealt with in my entire life. The secure climate controlled storage space I rented is neither secure, nor climate controlled. Key pad access hasn't worked in over a month. Anyone can drive in all day long. The A/C has been broken for a month. The storage space is 85 degrees during the day. A truck I rented was unsafe. I could have been killed driving that POS, or killed someone else. No one who values their life and their belongings should set foot on the property or have anything to do with these people.Christopher G.
