First, I was sent to an alternative location fairly far from where I originally booked. Upon arrival, they told me they didn't have a truck for me and sent me to another location. Considering you pay by the mile, it's unfortunate that I had to pick up further from my destination. Despite my checking in from home, the actual pickup of the truck was painful. It took us 30 minutes to get the truck and the other person picking his truck up was still sitting there when we left since he couldn't get your system to work properly either. It would also be super helpful to have a means to adjust the mirrors. We tried to adjust them manually and they wouldn't budge.Lea P.

The whole online check in was a nightmare.. it took a half hour . It was ridiculous. So awful., then I get in truck and the visor is broken and hanging and the online process said error and to go into place of business.. when I went in the lady said it's done I'm good and just bring it back with same amount of gas..Jessica L.

Had â€œguaranteedâ€ email confirmation for specific time and pick up location to coincide with hired movers. This confirmation meant nothing as our time was changed as was our pick up location thus adding miles to our trip which resulted in us paying more for the truck. Ordered 12 moving blankets also included in the â€œguaranteeâ€ as well as the moving dolly. None were in the truck. No remedy offered by Uhaul for the change in time or location. The moving blankets were available to us if WE went to pick them up in Malvern. A considerable distance for our location which made it physically impossible to get in the allotted time. The self check-in with the truck is overly time consuming but it is convenient for Uhaul as the paying customer does all the work. This experience was beyond pathetic and I will NEVER use them again as well as do all in my power to prevent anyone else from making this mistake.Joseph B.

There was nothing about this location that I would recommend. I ordered blankets online, and there were no blankets in the truck. When I asked the counter person they were rude and said "talk to UHaul about it" then turned her back on me. The truck cab was grimy, cigarette buts in the cup holder, the truck had only a Â¼ tank of gas in it, the harness for the hand truck was broken, there was no key on the keyring for the lock that comes with the truck. I have rented many trucks, and this was by far the worst experience I have had. At least the truck did not break down....Jeremy W.

I do not recommend this location, or any location that only has online check out. This process was ridiculous and it took an hour to pick up my vehicle. The chat agent had me taking photos, resubmitting photos, providing different phone numbers for reference that were immediately spam called, none of this is acceptable. The interior measurements of the truck do not match the specifications posted on the U-Haul website as well. Overall this was a terrible experience and I will not be using your services again.Michael W.
I did contactless pickup and drop off... that process was VERY easy. Truck that I ordered was there and the size I requested. The cab had sticky (probably coffee) mess on the passenger seat and dash/cup holders but everything else was clean.Megan C.

This was the first time I ever had a problem with renting a U-Haul. I have never rented one on a Sunday. And I'm not sure while sitting in the parking lot of where I was picking up the car it was telling me I was not at the location. It was very frustrating as it took me almost 40 minutes from start to finish to rent. I rented from the Amity storage location when I got there he told me I had to go to a location in Pottstown which I did once getting there he told me I still wasn't at my location it would not let me check in. I had to make a phone call and was on hold for almost 15 minutes before somebody could help me. And upon returning had the same issue. Another customer was returning and had no problem I was not getting the right links to take pics Of gas and mileage. Overall was very disappointed in both picking up and returning. I feel location should be open for a couple hours on a SundaySally H.
In the era of COVID-19 it would be good practice to ensure that the vehicle is wiped down. There was coffee spills on the dashboard and plenty of dusk.MARIA F.
With the exception of the truck itself the entire experience was among the worst I've experienced. The servers kept crashing, it took 39 minutes to reach a human, and after all that I was directed to go into the store to get the keys, one employee was so-so, the other downright nasty. I like the idea of online pickup and drop off, but really, U-Haul needs to join the 21st century. It will be a long time before I use, or recommend, U-Haul.Bill T.
I had secured this reservation weeks in advance of my move and discussed this with the rep at the location. When picking up my truck, here is what I found: - It took me almost three hours to go through your no-touch app process to rent the truck. The rep at the facility was of no help whatsoever. I have rented many trucks from you in the past and the process was easy and quick. The use of this app was ridiculous! With all of the checking, photos, location finding, approvals, and inability to share comments, I was astounded at the length of time it took to finally drive away. My wait time just to speaks with someone was inexcusable and I finally gave up on my second call after 30 minutes - time I was being charged!! Also, your app kicked me out before I was able to finish the check-in and wouldn't let me go back to enter information. - When placing my order, I secured a dozen moving blankets. When I picked up the truck, there were no blankets anywhere. When I asked the rep at the facility, I was told they don't have blankets! I explained the issue to her, showed my original reservation, and pleaded for assistance, but was told I had to call the 1-800 number and they may send me to another facility to get blankets. I finally got ahold of someone at your toll-free number - second call that morning, fifth attempt - and was told the facility should have had the blankets. I was told the issue would be noted in my file! - That whole process, which happened before I even left the lot, took almost three hours!! Time I was paying for! - At the return, I answered the questions asked - one of which was if the truck was clean. During the check-in process, I had indicated it was dirty (coffee spills on the dash, flies covering the van, mirrors, and window, etc.), but was then charged $25 for cleaning!!!! When I clicked the button for disputing the charge, I was kicked out of the process and told the rental was terminated. No response back whatsoever regarding my issues. I tried to call the 1-800 immediately, but after 45 minutes of waiting, I gave up. If you require individuals to use the app for touchless renting, why not allow them to pre-enter some information - driver's license, personal information, etc. - ahead of time, making the rental process quicker. This "simple" process took exponentially longer than I have ever experienced over renting in person! For my next need, I will most definitely seek out another resource. I would like to have the extra three hours I was charged for a second day removed as I spent those hours just trying to get the truck initially! Thank you!John M.
The cell reception is very poor and your cell phone app does not work or works infrequently at this location . This location will not pop up on your location lists when prompted by the app (Nearest one was over 20 miles away!). The app is in small print and is difficult to read. Even the lock box doesn't have proper instruction as the knob needs to be turned (not 2 marks aligned) while pushing the latch button. I had to revert to Roadside Assistance to get some form of customer support to sort out a multitude of problems.Carmen S.

It would have been nice to have had a clean truck. There were drink spills on the dash, the windshield was filthy inside and outside including a ring of something on the glass. Seems like no one takes care of the van except for the user. Would not use this location again due to the dirty state of the vehicle I got. There were no other vehicles to choose from so I was stuck with this one behicle.Tamarah Y.

The location is completely irrelevant, but they are great people. When we reserved the truck online, there was an option to check-in at the counter. Upon arrival at the site location, I was told I had to check-in online. The online check-in process was absolutely terrible! I booked on line that morning was told after driving from one spot to another there was no truck even though I made reservation??????? I finally was given a ten foot truck but was charged for 15 ft truck. Very dissatisfied but because it was done online nothing I could do about it???? When I called no one answered my questions??? I would not ever use uhaul again or recommend to anyone . CSR are rude and do not care whether u have a truck to move or not . I reserved a truck for a one way move and was never told there was a chance I would t get one . A few days I called to verify since I had not heard from anyone and it was then u was informed I would have to drive 30 mins away to pick up one and that it was not a 26ft but a 15 ft . Your on line pick up platform is not user friendly at all. The woman at Pottstown Roller Mills location was nice enough to assist me so I could get my truck after 20 minutes of frustration on your website. This was just a precursor to my drop off experience later in the day. Not a fun day. This was the worst experience I could imagine. The people were incredibly rude. I wish I could have taped the interaction. The mobile checkin did not work. I was handed keys. Never given paperwork. The clerk never told me anything. I told her the checkin check out experience was awful. She told me tough. She said that I should of done the other checkin. Which I did. She told me I did it â€œhalf-assedâ€. I ordered 15ft. They gave me 17ft. They switched the pickup point and told me I had to returned 2 hrs before the time I booked it for. I will NEVER use a U-Haul ever again. Plenty of other companies that are respectful. I do not not want to hear that it is independently owned, etc. Your logo is on the building. I know I will never get a response but it is therapeutic to put pen to paper. Everyone in that store should be fired. It's an embarrassment to U-Haul. Never again. Enjoy my money.Gregory M.

The employees inside were very rude. I did my order online and when I went there to get the truck I was told that they have nothing to do with Uhaul and they don't have the keys for the trucks. They told me that U-Haul was supposed to send me a code to get into the lock box to get the key to the truck. I never got a code I had to call U-Haul back sat on hold for 12 minutes got transferred three times and then they had to call the store I was picking the truck up at and lo and behold the keys were inside the building. My Uhaul experience was terrible. It had nothing to do with the Pottstown Roller Mills. I reserved a uHaul much closer to my house. When I arrived to pick it up it said my reservation expired which it should not have. Luckily I was able to find the truck at another location but it resulted in adding 10+ miles to my rental which costed more.Randall M.
