My reservation paperwork I printed out when I checked in said to drop off at Alamo drive location in Lakeland. I parked the vehicle at the Alamo drive location in an available spot at the Alamo drive location and proceeded to check out via the app. I observed that my drop off location was changed to the Uhaul location on US 98, which was well out of the way. I had to call customer service and the wait time was 30 minutes.( I also tried the chat option thinking it would be quicker but no agent connected to the chat within this timeframe). The agent on the phone had me drop off the vehicle at Ross Auto. She gave me the local number to call Monday to see about getting compensated for the mileage overage that this caused. I called the next morning and was told a manager would get back with me within 24 hours. The lot at Ross had less space than the Alamo drive location and there were cars everywhere and it was dark, not well lit, barely had any room to park the truck, appeared to be an unsafe area.JAMES C.

The man would not check us in. He left location . We were told just drop it around corner. We called U Haul and was told go back to location. No one was there. Took pictures of trailer. Returned next morning. Man there could not check in trailer as he did not know how. He signed our receipt. Returned 4th time man gone again. Never have gottten proof U Haul was returned. RETURNED ON OCTOBER 12TH, MONDAY. WAS SUPPOSE TO BE RETURNED OCTOBER 14TH. Would love proof it was returned in system. Will never rent or return from this location. It is a junk yard. They drop trailers 2 streets away in an open field. A terrible location.DAVID W.

This place is primarily an auto repair business, not a U haul Store. The owner and his staff were great. My reservation was ready, clean, and they hooked up the trailer and checked all safety features.The return was even easier . The location is in an older part of town and shows its age; as a long-time auto repair facility, a less-than-charitable description of it might include terms like "run down" and "seedy;" however, the man who checked me in was friendly and knew his way around the procedure, getting me out of there in a reasonable length of time. The truck was in good working order and I got a couple good tips from the fellow who brought it around to me. So, if anyone gives this place low marks due to its physical appearance I'd say temper that assessment with the knowledge that the company was well-represented by the folks involved in the transaction.Jeffrey G.
I didn't like being charged for 4 DAYS when I only had it for 2 Days I went from Lakeland Florida to Pelham Alabama it's only a 9 hour drive you shouldn't be charged for 4 daysKyle P.

I will never recomend this place to anyone. I was overcharge eventhough I received an email notifying the change it was made to my record. I filed a complaint and Im waiting for resolution. But again, this place was horrible.Ileana R.

The shop was extremely filthy. The employees were auto mechanics, so of course were filled with oil, grease and sweat. The dolly I rented had a broken wheel and couldn't use it. This location was absolutely terrible, I would never recommend itSUZETTE M.

The mileage and gas on the rental equipment vehicle was incorrect. Before taking the vehicle off this location, I notified this business of the error and the only correction was on the paperwork and NOT in the computer system for U-Haul.Abelardo G.

This place is very filthy and full of dirty car parts and disassembled cars. The place was very scary looking and we did not feel safe. Also they had pictures of nude women on their tool boxes right in front of this office they lead me to complete the transaction. Placing a order, being called order was chgd, went to new location the guy was gone at 4:30 n told to come back at 5 (but before they close) call back order was canceled, got transferred tover wrong department. The truck was dirty, there was dirt and leaves in the cargo bay. Also truck wasn't ready for appt time. Had to wait 45 minutes for them to do paperwork and get truck that was buried on the lot. Also charged me for dolly and pads that I didn't request or use. They removed the loose ones from the truck and then charged me for the ones secured to the wall of the truck even though the seal was never broken.... Worst experience ever with uhaul.....Raymond S.
Uhaul truck interior dash lights and dome light were not working. Taillights did not work. Both these things were very inconvenient and not safe for night time driving which I had to do. Truck was also very low on oil when received.CHASE D.

Went to main uhaul store first they couldn't rent equipment because the power was out then went to this place where no one knew how to actually rent anything. I also had to go rent a dolly some where else as they didn't have one. I will never use uhaul again even if my life depended on itThomas M.

Not recommend this location to no one. They are con artists they put wrong mileage on paper work in system an lie about how much gas was in the uhaul this isn't the first time this place has rip me off. For any one who rents a uhaul don't go to that location on Ross Auto Care on George Jenkins in Lakeland, FL they rip me off I called an talk to the owner Joe for a whole week never respond back to me. Talk to Ozzy the person that rented me the uhaul never did he give me a call back. I called the manager over joe which his name is junior an he never called me back. This place should be investigated because they lie about the gas an mileage on there uhaul trucks.lisa G.

after showing up at my original scheduled time of 10 am at the Sample St. location only to find it closed your rep redirected me to Northside aluminum location. When I showed up there it was also closed. After 15 minutes on hold with your customer service dept. I told the rep not to redirect me again, that I would look for myself. I stumbled upon Ross Auto and they were just wonderful to deal with. You need to revoke the franchises of holders who do not conform to your advertising.DENNIS C.

Question 2. Clean, but not maintained. Back-fired and bucked attempting to get to Interstate highway speeds. Front end too unsprung, as steering had a tendency to float in lane. Didn't dare go over 60mph. For the record I'm an experienced CDL Interstate driver, but I'd quit a company if that was all they had to offer. Also ABS warning light came on while driving. Go back to the old standard of when a customer picked up a truck it's gas/diesel tank(s) were full. Trying to guesstimate fuel usage sucks! Ross Auto Care was advised of the problems and may not have been aware of them as not everyone will report the problems.JAMES A B.

Intimidating at first, but the gentlemen we delt with were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed to make the move easier. I arrived at the time for my reservation that I had confirmation for but there was nothing in the system, this was not the fault of the dealer but of Uhaul, so the only reason I was able to get a truck was because he called a customer who thankfully had to cancel, otherwise I would have been out of luck so not sure what went wrong but you would think if you receive a confirmation that it would be in systemALAN P.

This was an easy location for us to drop the truck off, but it looks like a junk yard. Old cars parked everywhere and dirty. Not a location I would want to drop the truck off if I was alone (as I'm female) I was glad my husband was with me. Scary area!NANCY C.
