I have rented trucks several times in the last few years. For this rental, I drove 11 miles, and put 1 1/2 gallons of gas in. Yet, I was charged $6.00 more for gas. Unless this vehicle gets 2 miles to the gallon, I was overcharged. I will not use U-Haul any more.

After the horrible experience at the 98N location. I pulled into here completed the paperwork and drove out with my trailer. The 98 location has multiple trailers with lighting issues and tried to blame my truck as faulty. After showing the guy with a test light that all the plugs on my truck were in fact working as designed he was still unwilling to look into his trailer for the problem. I spent over an hr only to be sent away with nothing but lost time. That'll be the last time I pickup one at that location.

Being new to the area it looked unsafe because everything was gated and locked. Nowhere to park UHaul after hours. Called customer service. After talking to first representative I was transferred and was on hold for 53 minutes before the second representative took the call. We left after 30 minutes and took UHaul back to our new place then I went to Walmart while still on hold. Explained that the only place to park would be on the sidewalk. My husband had to be at work at 6am and was working til 6 or 7pm. Place would be closed again. He came home from work just to take UHaul back. 1.5 hours we couldn’t afford. Then when it was returned on time they charged me for extra miles. I told the guy i wouldn’t have had the extra miles if they had somewhere for us to park it and was informed to park on the sidewalk. That’s against the law in my hometown in Kentucky. I said I wanted a phone call from management if that was going to happen. No phone call charged extra $5.14. Again $5 might now be anything to some people but right now it’s a lot to us. Had to call customer service again and was refunded the money. Paid a lot for a UHaul to go 90 miles. The hassle was not worth me using this particular location again.

They had a lot of computer problems and it took over an hour to check us in for a truck when I had previously reserved it online. As I understand this was probably a Uhaul overall issue but past experience has been less than 10 min for the whole process so this was a little frustrating. They also were friendly but kept answering other phone calls and helping all other customers while we were sitting and waiting even though we mentioned we were on a time crunch. We were also passed around to three different people to try to help us, when one didn't know how to solve the problem they left and had the next person try to deal with it while they went about their day. We only had a few hours before work to move and had budgeted our time based on a timely check in process. I ended up having to delay going to work by an hour due to the slow check in. Overall they were nice, facility was clean and easy to find but we felt like side job/ second priority to their mechanic shop.
